a verycuteand instagrammable place.
however, i think food is pretty average.
totoro cakes were spongy and soft but i expected a more intense flavour from the matcha.
sesame was good though.
however, i do love the fresh cream!
coffee and matcha were average.
my friend liked her corn fritters dish though.

such acutelittle cafe! love the layout and beautiful backdrop of flowers and small artworks on the wall. i ordered the healthy breakfast and swapped out the eggs for haloumi. best breakfast i've had to-date. it was so filling and the pesto around the plate tied everything together. the cheese was so soft and delicious that i could write a separate review on that alone. it was food coma galore for the rest of the day thanks to such a comforting, and hearty meal. the only little downfall for me, however, was the red velvet latte. it tasted like a regular latte but it was still quite nice.
overall - i'm glad i finally made it out to cuppa flower and i would definitely visit again

i came here recently and had the best!!!! buttermilk pancakes. the pancakes themselves were light and fluffy and in between each pancake was lots of rich creamy ricotta. the honeycomb served with it was crunchy and delicious and the strawberries and other fruits were fresh and of beautiful quality. i also loved how beautifully it was all plated up.
i will defiantly be back and when i am, i want to try one of those totoro cakes, as they are just toocuteand i'm a studio ghibli fan.

ricotta pancakes 🥞🍯
the dish in itself was very pretty. however, i did not enjoy eating this because the elements to the dish did not suit one another nor some parts of it taste good. some of the garnishes in the dishes did not add to the overall flavour nor did it taste good with the base of the meal (the pancake). furthermore, the ricotto was in chunks in the layers of the pancake with the pancake being dry and tasteless. despite it not being satisfying, it also eventually started to taste quite sickening from how heavy the ricotto was. the honeycomb was also very hard and difficult to eat most of it was uneaten. the instrument used to pour honey was also hard to use, hence why it does seem that the aesthetics of the dish was prioritised rather than the dish in itself. i was disappointed ordering this dish despite being so excited for it.

mushrooms and eggs on toast 🥚🍞
i couldn't see the dish that we've got on the menu so i can't recall the exact name for it. this one i've enjoyed significantly more compared to the pancakes dish. there were an array of different textures to this dish and the mushrooms was a stand out component of the dish. perhaps their savoury dishes are better but i would have to come more often to make a more definite answer.

service 😕
☆☆☆
i didn't feel that the staff members gave enough care or attention to making us feel welcome at the cafe. when we've ordered the food they weren't giving us much eye contact but rather wrote down our orders and left. we didn't feel comfortable asking about the dishes due to this.

ambience
☆☆☆☆☆
the cafe is absolutely beautiful. it is also dog-friendly as they have outdoor seating as well (we did enjoy seeing thecutedogs as we ate our food). the flower in the background was a perfect photo opportunity for the food and ourselves. there's specific seats that you would need to go towards in order to get the best shots. as someone that loves flowers, this cafe is one of the most beautiful that i've ever been to.

overall 🍴
☆☆☆☆
the cafe in itself is very pretty, and one can appreciate the immense effort they've put into decorating and also making their dishes look well presented. however, aesthetics does seem to have been prioritised rather than the taste itself for the dishes. due to this and the staff not making us feel as welcomed, i would give this an average rating.
it is best to drive directly there rather than taking public transport since it is out of the way from the city. it's located in some of the other 'big' brunch places such as the grounds of alexandria so there are a lot of options in the area.

this place is extremely aesthetic and pretty. the coffee is absolutely delicious, creamy and cheap. only $3.70 for a cup of coffee that is perfect - what a bargain. the totoro desserts are supercuteand make great afternoon treats.

went for thecutedessert, and it was great! first time trying lotus flower tea, and surprised by the size of the lotus. the squid ink pasta was average to me, but the cappa garden (i think this is what its called) was good. the feta was amazing!

everything was very beautiful to look at! croissant was the highlight, filling and tasty. ordered the black latte, had a rich taste to it. would come back for this again.

boyfriend had the brioche bread with poached egg. definitely up to standard in terms of brunch food but nothing spectacular. his green tea frappe was decent, but it lacked the same richness in flavour as the black latte.

overall, verycuteplace to eat. cakes looked amazing too and i’ll be back to try those.

one of the cutest brunch places i’ve been to, everything here is tasty, i’ve tried almost every dish on their menu and even the basic brunch dishes are nice !! i love how quickly the food comes out despite their busy hours and how cheap the food actually is compared to other places. defs would come more often if only i lived in the area.

their hotcake was really soft and not too sweet, it’s acuteconcept how they have a honeycomb brush for you to pour the honey over the hotcake, but i’d advise you guys to don’t waste your time and pour it manually by the cup they provide. the fruits compliment the sweetness of the hotcake so their ratio is perfect for breakfast and doesn’t get sickening at all!! i was still able to finish the hotcake after finishing my main meal!!! their flower teas are so refreshing and tasty, it’s naturally sweet in flavour so you don’t need additional honey or sugar !

i love the crispness of the salmon skin and how flaky and tender the salmon fillet has been cooked i would come back here over and over again this place is a must try !!! everything is so flavourful and different to typical brunch places !!!
(oh but it’s a 4 star for me cos their chiffon cakes was pretty overrated and basic other than that, 5 star for me !!)

this is a very aesthetic cafe withcutetotoro cakes, beautiful dishes and flowers everywhere. i tried the matcha chiffon cake and the black sesame swiss roll and while both werecuteand decorated like totoro, the black sesame one tasted better. for the main dishes, i enjoyed the tempura soft shell crab with croissant and the ricotta pancakes which were layered with mascarpone. service was great and efficient especially for a busy place like this. also, if you pay with cash there’s a 5% discount!

ive always wanted to try this cafe with its nature and floral interior. i thought this was one of those cafes where the presentation is beautiful but the food would be mediocre. i was pleasantly suprised. we ordered the soft shell crab and the cuppa garden, rose tea and thosecutelittle totoro cakes. the soft shell crab was my favourite. the sauce was tangy, cream and a little but spicy. the buttery crossaint and the “crispy” soft shell crab went well together. the rose tea was floral and had a hint of sweetness. the cakes however.... lets just say they are pretty for photos?

im definitely coming here again to try other things on the menu......but im definitely getting the soft shell crab again. if only my belly could fit a lot!

one of my friends suggested we go here after seeing thecutetotoro cakes online and so glad that i came here! (if i could give a 4.5 rating i would). i ordered the tempura soft shell crab croissant and it was absolutely delicious - the crab was crisp and the sriracha mayo paired well with it. that being said it did get quite heavy and i couldn’t finish it but i loved the flavours. of course also ordered the totoro black sesame sponge and a taro crepe cake to finish off our feed and these did not disappoint! both the cakes were moist - i found the crepe cake to have a stronger more pronounced taro flavour whereas the totoro cake was more mild in flavour but i enjoyed both. presentation of the food is on point here, service is friendly and the decor inside is so beautiful (from the tables which were like tree stumps to the flower back drop 😍). will definitely be back to try more dishes and i’d recommend coming to the waterloo one rather than the mascot one if you’re driving cause it’s easier to find parking!
