cute cafe in waterloo featuring their famous and popular totoro cakes.

the decor is very adorable and quite girly with flowers and hanging florals. we didn't grab lunch but went here for afternoon tea instead.

i didn't realise but the round totoro cakes - only a limited number are made each day so there was none left by the time we went. however, the round cakes with a white flower in the middle were still available as well as the totoro swiss rolls.

the totoro matcha swiss roll was my sister's and my favourite; they were light, soft and not dry. the sesame cakes were okay. the matcha latte was alright too, wasn't too sweet. the rose tea looked pretty but it tasted like hot water with a few rose petals floating around and did not have the essence of a "rose tea".

highly recommended to come here for the totoro matcha swiss rolls :) come early so you won't be disappointed missing out on the totoro cakes.

cuppa flower. i don't understand why there is always a line. i mean it's not even that good. to be honest i don't know what the fuss is about.

ok let's start on the good....
special rice noodles weren't bad. they were pretty good.
the wagyu beef burger was delicious! you can't go wrong here. and the chips were equally as good.
the green tea rose mille crepe cake was ok. just ok.

now the good kinda stops here....
the sweet corn fritters .. ummm where's the corn?? it was soggy, pancake batter with peas.
the salt and pepper calamari .. don't even go there. i don't know how they could have served this, or get it so wrong. it was disgusting.
the kids fish and chips was just as bad.
the infamous totoro black sesame chiffon cake was dense and not light and fluffy like it looks.

photos are extremely deceiving. this place is instagram worthy but not worthy if you're hungry for tasty food.

nice cafe!! just a bit too busy we waited 15 mins for the seat, not too bad.. the service is good and we are really enjoy the food. definitely will go again!

it is really busy place, so make sure you come during weekdays to have a table to sit. when you come there, you should write your name down in the waiting list, unless you will become take-away guests and dont have table. service: they are nice, they kept checking on me and asked me if i wanna move to a single table instead of using shared table ( because i came w my bf and it was busy when we got there, we needed to share table). food is nice, especially smoked salmon with avocado, i also like matcha roll n cake ( but cake was sold out so quick :(( ) so order them quickly. they are small cakes, not as big as a picture other people posted.

the pasta and the noodle was good, full of flavor. but i was going for the mile crepes and the cake as it attracted me so much on instagram. the matcha swiss roll was good but i didn't like the mile crepes, too much artificial color, as my friend's tongue turned purple after eating that. and it also didnt have much flavor, only sweet. didnt enjoy the crepes but everything else was ok.

i really love this concept of a flower cafe, where you can buy flowers and then also have food. coming back from japan, they have the best flower cafe with fresh flowers everywhere, but japan has better everything pretty much. for sydney standards, this cafe has pretty good decor and atmosphere. they added flowers to the table cause they saw me taking photos lol. they normally do put flowers, just was probably a bit slow to start the day. they were real, but weren't really fragrant.

tried the pasta with chicken as well as the cakes. the look on the cake was super adorable😍 and the taste was super good! the black sesame and matcha flavour were both good🤡

since i'd already read reviews on zomato the night before, i knew to put my name on the wait list straight away. otherwise, there's people eating people waiting outside and busy waiters and no one to explain what to do or what's going on. it was a fair wait for a thursday 11ish am timing. you get seated by the staff then order by yourself at the counter when ready.
my dish (cuppa flower benedict) was delicious and greater than my expectations after reading reviews saying food was average. i don't even like bacon but with the eggs benedict and potato & beetroot pancake it was pretty special and, paired with a slice of black sesame swiss roll was perfect👌🏼
the food is of course so photogenic and the flowers section is a very pretty backdrop for photos. other than that, the rest is pretty much a normal cafe like any other.
of course, there's no service really but that's due to the poor staff being so extremely hectic, they literally never stop.
overall very worth visiting, trying out, and definitely makes your day.

nothing you can complain about their adorable internal decoration. japanese chiffon and swiss roll are the must try. breakfast is average standard. but the will be always a massive wait every single day......

excellent little cafe with the added bonus of being able to purchase lovely flowers. it is clear most customers are there to get a snap of the food and pretty settings and the cafe chef is very aware of this ensuring every plate sent out is picture perfect. whilst looking good it also tastes great the popular chiffon cake is light, fluffy and has just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy. the sweet corn fritters were some of the best i have had. fresh, vibrant, light and zingy from the lemon dressing.

the place was really nicely decorated, staff were friendly. food was awesome except savoury food was alright. the presentation of food was really nice. when you pay in cash you get a discount of 15%. expect to wait for a table. definitely recommend this place!

we waited about 1 hour to be guided to seat. the surroundings are really nice as shown in the pic. like a quiet afternoon garden. but the food was not really nice. at least not worth for waiting.

the service is very bad, long line of weekends. letting others get in first, when we're on the queue list for 1 and half hour. never back to this place👎👎

cuppa flower is one of those places that you just feel happy to be at. it is a florist and café and everything so beautiful and colourful and thriving with customers. we visited with friends so had the opportunity to try lots of dishes. we ate from the breakfast menu so make sure you’re there before 11 for that, or it changes to lunch after that.
