greatplaceto eat. a bit loud but the jaz band is excellent. we ate early so it hadn't gotten rowdy but i suspect the bar becomes a hot spot.

we had dinner here our only night in new orleans. our server howard was friendly and attentive. he made exceptions for our children and catered to their likes. my son eats a lot of mac and cheese, and although not on the menu, he was able to order it. the ipa was really good. i ate the shrimp and grits, cleaned my plate. my husband had the spare ribs, the meat fell off of the bone!

live jazz after 6pm. i was hoping for aplacelike this with good food and i can say that i feel we found the right spot.

a touristyplacewith good food. thisplaceis ok. no, its better than that!

i like the fresh beer and the appetizers are fine. in fact, they are better than fine. try the oysters baked three ways and tell me thisplaceisn't great.

brewhouse entrees are fine, but get a sandwich and tell me that you have had a better pork po-boy....i dare you...add a black forrest beer and you have a little bit of heaven right here.

we noticed aplaceour concierge suggested, a microbrewery and eatery called crescent city brewery. when you walk in you can tell it’s a building with history and when it was renovated, care was taken to preserve it. the property is included in the earliest known plans of the city in 1722 as a two-story 14 room house. after the great fire of 1794 it was rebuilt and became a fur processing factory in 1912. in 1991, it opened up as the cities first microbrew in 72 years and won an award for “maintaining the integrity of the historic property and an outstanding renovation.”

well worth a visit.. if you like to blend excellent food with a great lively atmosphere and attentive friendly service, this is theplacefor you. we had a wonderful dinner experience and enjoyed the live jazz band. i highly recommend the seafood cheesecake and the crispy fried duck. the dishes served to the other diners at my table looked equally pleasing. we will definitely return when next in new orleans.

terrible service, disengaged staff, mediocre beer & food. i had grouper on flatbread which turned out to be a very small piece of fish on a plate-sized crunchy bread, smothered in mayo and overly long raw veggie sticks. difficult to eat and bland. second diner had a burger that was overcooked. third had shrimp & grits & said grits were a glutonous mass. waitress didn't have many tables but never checked in. really sloppy service - leaving extraplacesettings on table, setting my food down on my silverware. another waiter dropped a bottle of tobasco near our table & left it for a good 15 mins while our eyes watered & the manager watched tv the bar. final straw was watching a waiter drop a napkin & serving ware on the floor next to us, and tobasco-dropper giggled & put it back in his hand so he headed out to put it on a table for some unsuspecting diner. we managed to pull the manager away from his game long enough to complain. as we left the bartender was laughing at the complaint - so i'd say thisplaceis a bad joke on anyone hoping for a good microbrewery with decent service.

the oyster club was out of this world, but thisplaceis slightly overpriced. i still wouldn't avoid it though - if nothing else, go for the beer and the atmosphere.

limited food menu. i was disappointed there were no grilled chicken options for the salads. my husband enjoyed his burger. decentplaceif you need a break from traditional nola fare. the breast were average, again, nothing to write home about.

oneplacethat looked interesting was the crescent city brew house on decatur. after we found a 'buy one entrée, get one free' coupon at the hotel, the decision was made. this turned out to be another great decision. the restaurant reminded teresa of the blue bayou in chicago, maybe because that bar was patterned after a new orleans restaurant, lots of wood, and open. the menu was extensive and we decided to have the seafood.

great beer and food. my wife and i visited here for dinner on a monday night. their wheat beer was as good as any i had in germany.
our meal was accompanied by excellent fresh french bread.
i ordered shrimp and grits and it was excellent with a brown sauce with onions and peppers, a hearty brick of polenta and some very fresh large shrimp.
my wife ordered crab au gratin and she like her meal very much too, though she thought the accompanying asparagus was too strong for her taste. i thought it was just right. we shared a delicious piece of key lime pie for dessert. i would have ordered the bread pudding if i had the room left.
we would definitely visit thisplaceagain.

pretty good. my first time in nola and went into the restaurant to the right of the crescent city brewhouse. the service there was horrible so i got up and left and we to this place.

the atmosphere was really nice. the bartender was friendly and i went with their pilsner as a starter. i ended up ordering the gumbo and i was surprised how good it was. i was shocked by the size of the bread they gave me but i ate it all since it was so good.

if you find yourself on decatur and want a very casualplaceto relax after a day of pounding the streets, then give thisplacea shot.

good food, brews and music. i was visiting new orleans on business and found thisplaceas i was walking the french quarter. they have live music every night. they are also a microbrewery and they have 4 types of beer with a special 5th variety that is seasonal. i had a burger, which was great. if i'm ever in new orleans, i'll be visiting the crescent city brewhouse again!
