craft beer market

first timer!. so i have/heard mixed reviews for craft, but i always have wanted to go, and last night i finally made it in (every other time there was a huge line, which well i will not wait in). and it was worth the wait, we sat at the bar as it was very busy, our server, erica i believe her name was, was knowledgable, friendly, and more than generous with the samples of beer. i was unsure of what i wanted and she was able to find me some of my new favourite beers. i had the fish tacos and spinach salad which was very good. it was a bit crowded and quite loud, but i guess that is what you should expect at a beer hall type establishment. i definitely will be returning, and would recommend you do the same, but go early, we went around 5:30 and there was not atablein sight!

ruined our date night :(. i have no idea what the food and drinks are like here because unfortunately the service was so bad we didn't even make it passed the waiting area!
my fiancé and i decided to come here on a saturday night. we rarely have time to go out for dinner and drinks so we were really looking forward to having a nice night out together- when we first arrived we were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait or a 30 minute wait for a table. we decided to put our name down for atableand just sat down in the waiting area. after 40 minutes went by we started to notice people who had arrived much after we did were getting sat in tables. i went up and asked the hostess why so many people were going in a head of us and she was very unfriendly and said she had us down for atablefor 4 not 2. it was her mistake and she apologized- that's fine mistakes happen but then she told us we would get the nexttableavailable and to keep waiting. we waited another 20 minutes and when i saw other people were still being sat before us i went up again and asked a different hostess if we could be sat next since they made a mistake and had us down for 4 people. the second girl was very rude and had no idea what i was talking about- and after waiting for over an hour all she did was offer to seat us at the bar. i was so upset that we just waited all that time and were treated poorly that at that point i didn't feel like spending any money at a place that has such bad service. she didn't even care that we were clearly upset and leaving- didn't apologize or seem to care. we ended up just going home. it was a compete waste of 2 hours and still being hungry. i worked at a restaurant for 5 years and i know how situations like that should be handled and am very disappointed with the lack of care from the hostesses. ( i don't know what the servers are like)

loved my canada day experience here. the place was busy but still found atablefor our large group (8ish). everyone started singing the anthem at one point and the atmosphere was great. perfect place to go for the beer lover as there are so many options on tap. also love the way they organize the menu for ones who don't know much about beer.

this place is crazy huge. if your planning a huge group to host, this is the place. there's two floors to eat with a patio outside. you can also tie your dog outside, it's dog friendly in this area.

as for beers, this place is the king. 5/5 for the selection of beers to drink yourself to death.
i tried their warlock strawberry beer and it was very refreshing. really cool experience to have my first strawberry beer too.

as for the food, this is where it lost points.
it's nothing special, just pub style food plated nicely.
if your looking to drink then it's a fantastic place to try out.

service lost points too. we waited very long for our water refills. perhaps they could leave a jug of water in thetableinstead. our waitress was too chill and slow. we also waited 15 mins for our bill.

i would come back but only to drink at the bar with the boys.

came to this spot to have some food and drinks with friends. they do not make reservations after 6pm, so we took our chances. we showed up at 7pm on a friday evening and were able to get atablefor 6 people right away. the server was very quick to get us drinks. they have over 100 beers on tap, so truly something for everyone. lots of local breweries which is great! i ordered the black and blue burger which was a nice thick patty with stuffed blue cheese. other people ordered steak sandwiches and a few different burgers. the service was great, food came out in a timely manner, and or waitress made sure we were well taken care of.
around 9 the noise volume increased greatly so if your looking to chat with the whole party without speaking up, it could become difficult.

overall it was a great night with friends with a huge selection of beers on tap, good food, and great service.

i love coming to craft! i've come here for many different occasions over the past few years and the food and beer is constantly delicious!

i was here recently for a party and reserving atablefor 12 was very easy. when we got there, the tables were all right by the bar and at the start of the night our waitress was great.

the flights of beer are my favorite thing about craft. i love trying many different beers i might not try otherwise. for dinner i started with a poutine which was great - crispy fries and gravy that tasted like it didn't come from a package! i also had the beer can chicken which was juicy and full of flavor.

towards the end of the night when the bar was packed, service did suffer a bit. we'd go 15 minutes without seeing out waitress. however she was very accomodating with splitting up the tabs at the end of the night for our big party.

i will come back to craft many times to come and would not hesitate to book an event here.

the beer taps flowing through the walls and ceilings definitely give this place a "willy wonka of beer" type feeling. there are 100 beers on tap, which is relatively unheard of anywhere else in vancouver.

the food is average to good, with a few exceptions of delicious. the mac and cheese is decent, while the maple bacon flavour of chicken wings is beyond delicious!

they do have taster flights available...however, they're pre-selected for you. that eliminates the want for tasters, as i'd generally like to pick what i want to sample. they have a "local" and an "around the world" flight. generally, they're the cheapest of all the tap selections, so they don't lose money.

the service is great. the servers are happy and friendly, and most of all knowledgeable. if they don't know something, they'll let you know and find out for you. that being said, the guys behind the bar are tons of fun (and rock out when phil collins is playing).

you might have to wait for atablebut this place is worth it if you have the money!

went to craft beer market for brunch today by recommendation of my brunch date. it was pretty quiet which is great for me since i don't like waiting. we grabbed atablenear the window with a view of the water. my friend said she had the bennies and they were good, so i decided to go for the avocado and cheddar bennie. overall solid brunch. good service while it's quiet - can't say what it'd be like if i went back when it's busy. i'd probably go back on another quiet day and didn't feel like cooking.

i love my beer but i'm just not impressed with this place. the service is going downhill, just getting atableis a hassle and once you get your first beer the waitress disappears. a little frustrating because the selection and variety is great.

probably the worst service i've ever had. when we asked a different waitress to see if we could get served she looked at us like she didn't understand how food service works. step one waitress must come totableand take order. i guess they don't teach that anymore. i think all the waitresses here share a brain and someone left it at home.

we were at craft today for brunch. our server started out super slow and it was by no means busy at the time we were there. took her for forever to get us coffee let alone milk for our coffee. then when we were ready to order, i was told that the skillets come pre made - kind of ridiculous to hear something like that so i decided to get the eggs benedict, as did a few of my friends that i was with. everyone that ordered eggs benedict ordered the eggs to be poached medium. once we got our meals, our food was cold, eggs were poached hard, and it looked like the hash browns had been sitting under a heat lamp. we decided to let our server know and asked to speak with a manager. we let her know our concerns and it seemed as though we were bothering her but she said she would comp our meal and offered to remake our food. only 2 of the girls got theirs remade while the rest of us opted out of it. the food came back quickly for them but again, the eggs were poached hard. i didn't realize it was so hard to poach eggs. the girls are their food and we sat around drinking coffee and talking, when we noticed the manager (girl with curly hair and glasses) and 2 servers (one that was ours) were standing directly behind ourtablegiving us dirty looks and talking about us. that is when we had enough and got up and left. awful service and the manager was incredibly unprofessional. i just skimmed through some reviews and saw that i'm not the first person to say that though. anyways - maybe avoid eating here and just go for drinks. or just try to avoid this place in general. extremely disappointed.

a group of ten of us went to craft for a birthday lunch. the manager, curtis, greeted our first guest and made her feel comfortable as she waited on her own for the rest of us to arrive. we arrived and were situated with waters. the restaurant didn't appear to be too busy but we think our server may have been new. half an hour later we were all starting to feel concerned about not yet being approached for our order. a few of us had meetings that afternoon and we all needed to get back to work. we wouldn't have been stressed if it were at a dinner service, but for lunch service we just didn't have that kind of time. we waved over the manager and within seconds he had two servers taking our order. our food arrived in record time (and was delicious). as we were done and had cash on thetablewaiting for our bill, curtis approached us and told us that everyone's meal was taking care of. we were blown away by the service and we will all be back again. thank you curtis!

long wait, somewhat ok food, lousy service, patience doesn't pay off. i was here for four hours. i tried to be the nice customer that was accommodating but i will never go back. i ate probably like 20 minutes of it. i waited 30 minutes to be seated. i waited another hour for food. got half of our food, told our other dish wasn't available. they gave us some poutine as a replacement and it was very, very, very cold. i bet they just had it on hand for anothertablethey screwed up. we tried to eat and enjoy our beer, whatever of it anyway. we waited another hour for the bill because the servers would like never look us in the eye and always looked to busy to serve us. horrible. i was very patient, but patience doesn't pay in a place like this.

sub par service. i have never had a good experience here. the first time the server had forgotten to ring in our food. the appetizer came out after our entrees. we were sitting across from the bar and could clearly see our drinks were up, but several servers and managers had walked past it and ourtablewithout any acknowledgment. it wasn't until i flagged a server down to grab a manager were we "taken care of". i believe in second chances and so we tried again but this time for breakfast. the potatoes were burnt and everything was just "ok". i had to wait 15 minutes just to get the server to the table....on a very slow saturday morning. the food here isn't that bad but the service is just awful.

poor reservation management. our friends made a clear reservation for 14 for there 50th birthdays that they wanted a longtableso everyone could sit together.they were offered a bunch of separate tables which they had to push together. my meal came twenty min after everyone else . i was told it went somewhere else by mistake .i said it was except able & i wanted it comped .it was .i did taste several different dishes which were tasty but very expensive .the parking is expensive as well. fun location but would rush back
