cozy's cafe

good food butserviceis lacking.. i have eaten at cc several times and the food has been good each time. however, today, upon entering the restaurant no one greeted us but a waitress glumly called out to us from across the room to sit anywhere. a friendly young man brought our drinks then we waited a long while before another unsmiling, unfriendly waitress took our order. the food was slow arriving but tasted good. the more mature waitresses are friendly enough but the two young ones have no social skills and they look so unhappy i feel bad for them. something is very wrong with management in that restaurant.

the food was really really good, theservicewas kind of strange though. i added breakfast potatoes onto my order once we got our food and never received them. when i told my waitress she was very quick to give me a refund and the food didn't take very long at all, overall i was pretty impressed and thought it was a very nice cafe.

lack of service. so people that came in after us had their food before us we had terrible (because there was almost noserviceat all though the place was very busy) it appeared other people had great service. then they messed up an over easy egg eggs were cold anyway gravy was definitely not homemade

a good lunch experience. i ordered the grilled tuscan panini with salad ($9.85) and a drink ($2.89) at my table. my order was delivered with a smile in about ten minutes. the panini was delicious, with tasty bread, flavorful cheese, fresh spinach, and premium chicken, but the amount of chicken was on the low end of acceptable. the salad was fresh and delicious. theservicewas friendly, and attentive. the interior was nicely furnished. the price is high for lunch.

service terrible. i've been three times. the food is good, but theserviceterrible. first time waited for a hot water refill for tea. waiter brought one small pot and left it on the table. three of us were to share the little bit of water. when i asked for another was told, "you can use that one."
second time,servicebetter.
third time, after sitting and getting water, we waited 25 minutes to be acknowledged and have orders taken. sat and watched two table next to us be served food before our order was taken and they both came in after us. asked a waitress to get someone to take our order. she went into kitchen and never came back. finally tossed some money on the table and got up to leave. lady came over then to take our order. we told her we were leaving and she said, "you can see we are busy".
"yes, i see that, but get yourservicetogether and wait on people as they arrive rather than randomly."
never going back.

good food-i was debating between sandwiches & the waitress suggested the grilled european with chicken & it was surprisingly good! apple pie a la mode for dessert was excellent!servicewas good. moderately priced.

great date night. my husband and i are one of those stereotypical couples when it comes to restaurant selection: his main drive is to get stuffed to the gills with delicious food, while i go more for the charm and atmosphere. chalkboard menu, a vase of carnations at every table, personableservicefrom the owner herself, and an eclectic assortment of fellow patrons made the wife happy, and a full and happy belly worked for the husband. glad we went.

good food with a friendly staff.. my wife and i went for dinner here and really enjoyed ourselves. the place was clean and theservicewas very good. the food we ordered was all tasty. in our estimation, the food was a little on the expensive side, and you certainly don't get large portions, but the other qualities of this place made it a pretty good experience.

hidden gem. i live nearby and always passed this non-descript building without ever thinking about it. well one day i decided to venture on in and i am glad i did. the decor and ambience is completely sterile, like it was shipped in from a restaurant depot catalogue. but theservicewas friendly, the owner was eager to please, and i was pleasantly surprised to find a menu full of unique dishes hard to find elsewhere. i ordered a muffaletta that was delicious. its interesting some people complain about the portions - yea, they're not ginormous like at many chains, but they're more than adequate to fill you up. i remember getting the muffaletta at jason's deli and it was huge...and pretty much all bread, thus it was tasteless. well at cozy's cafe the bread takes a backseat to the wonderful tapenade, so you can really taste the olives. i'd much rather have a smaller portion of flavorful food than a huge heaping of tasteless bland food.

not only that, but the vegetable bisque was awesome. very creamy and light. i saw some of the other dishes coming out to other tables and was really eager to try them on subsequent visits - the european sandwich, the cassoulet, the lasagna, and oh the pie!

definitely not a place to come for a burger (though they do serve one), but if you like a european style cafe menu, give this place a shot and i think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

friendlyserviceand good food.. i've been to cozy's a few times now, but only for breakfast. i haven't been able to make it for dinner, but plan to. after the first time, kozy has graciously greeted me with whomever i've brought to try out one of my new favorite restaurants. one time, she even asked where "my man" was, since i was there with a female friend. she also remembers my usual order and that is the sign of a very good business owner. i highly recommend cozy's for a casual, relaxed good dining experience.
