cozy's cafe

good food but service is lacking.. i have eaten at cc several times and the food has been good each time. however, today, upon entering the restaurant no one greeted us but a waitress glumly called out to us from across the room to sit anywhere. a friendly young man brought our drinks then we waited a long while before another unsmiling, unfriendly waitress took our order. the food was slow arriving but tasted good. the more mature waitresses are friendly enough but the two young ones have no social skills and they look so unhappy i feel bad for them. something is very wrong with management in that restaurant.

a graet place to take the whole fam or just hang with friends. some of the best lasagna i've ever had it's the perfect place, family owned and opperated full range menue that is very reasonable and has a greek flair.i have been there several times and never had a bad meal , or bad experience i highly recomend this place .

the name says it all regarding the environment of this place. you couldn’t ask for a more welcoming place to eat, with the friendliest servers that are on top of their game. they must’ve asked me ten times if i wanted more coffee. their menu was full of intriguing options. the food was cooked to perfection and i’ve never had better hashbrowns. the price was a bit high, but not terrible and the lack of flavor explosion is the only thing keeping this place from five stars. recommend

the food was really really good, the service was kind of strange though. i added breakfast potatoes onto my order once we got our food and never received them. when i told my waitress she was very quick to give me a refund and the food didn't take very long at all, overall i was pretty impressed and thought it was a very nice cafe.

very fresh, delicious meal. casual atmosphere and very cozy restaurant indeed. a nice neighborhood restaurant. would definitely recommend to my family and friends.

lack of service. so people that came in after us had their food before us we had terrible (because there was almost no service at all though the place was very busy) it appeared other people had great service. then they messed up an over easy egg eggs were cold anyway gravy was definitely not homemade

a good lunch experience. i ordered the grilled tuscan panini with salad ($9.85) and a drink ($2.89) at my table. my order was delivered with a smile in about ten minutes. the panini was delicious, with tasty bread, flavorful cheese, fresh spinach, and premium chicken, but the amount of chicken was on the low end of acceptable. the salad was fresh and delicious. the service was friendly, and attentive. the interior was nicely furnished. the price is high for lunch.

ignored. my son and i walked into the place and were completely ignored. i was looking forward to a lovely meal but apparently we weren't good enough.

wonderful little cafe. this place is a staple for my wife and i. i've been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and have loved everything that i've had there. very peaceful atmosphere and friendly and helpful service.

service terrible. i've been three times. the food is good, but the service terrible. first time waited for a hot water refill for tea. waiter brought one small pot and left it on the table. three of us were to share the little bit of water. when i asked for another was told, "you can use that one."
second time, service better.
third time, after sitting and getting water, we waited 25 minutes to be acknowledged and have orders taken. sat and watched two table next to us be served food before our order was taken and they both came in after us. asked a waitress to get someone to take our order. she went into kitchen and never came back. finally tossed some money on the table and got up to leave. lady came over then to take our order. we told her we were leaving and she said, "you can see we are busy".
"yes, i see that, but get your service together and wait on people as they arrive rather than randomly."
never going back.

this place could be my go to breakfast place for the next 50 years.

cozy's cafe is a gem. my wife and i went to cozy's cafe the other day. it is one of overland parks best kept secrets and if you have not been there yet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner you need to put it on your to do list. you will love the place, the service, and of course the great prices for great food.

good food-i was debating between sandwiches & the waitress suggested the grilled european with chicken & it was surprisingly good! apple pie a la mode for dessert was excellent! service was good. moderately priced.

great dining experience. after being told by a good friend, we went to cozy's for dinner and what a dining experience! we were greeted at the door with a smiling face (kim) and immediately felt at home. we chose to eat the osso bucco, chicken dish and they were both wonderful! it was a great dining experience and we wil definitely return. the pies were also very good!
