still my favorite barbecue. my love of cozy corner began years ago on my finding of their barbecued cornish hens. since then i have moved to my current favorite, pork rib tips, and always washed down with the best sweet tea in memphis. theirsaucehas surpassed my other favorite, interstate barbecue. the rib tips are smothered in it and i don't mind getting it all over my face and hands, just be sure to have multiple napkins handy.

if you want delicious, fall-off-the-bone ribs, this is the place to go. the mildsauceis a great combination of sweet and spicy. the location is off the beaten path, and the decor is sparse. but it's all about the food. staff is very friendly.

lunch with the wife and kid here today. went to the new place across the street as they still haven't finished the repairs to the original location across the street.

from start to finish the experience was good. the place is very basic inside but expect they aren't doing a lot as they are moving back to the other location at some point.
i had the ribs and those were very good. thesaucewas different that what i'm accustomed to as it was a bit looser and also had a bit of spice. not too much but some. i liked it and ate every piece as close to the bone as possible. sides of slaw with baked beans. the slaw was a mixture of cream and vinegar. looked like a mayo based but had some vinegar in it that was very noticeable. beans didn't send me into orbit but did have good flavor. thesaucefor the ribs was probably also the base for the beans.

i did not see a pulled pork option or brisket. the sandwich that the wife got was good. as it was sliced that changes the texture of course and just not what were accustomed to. overall this was a good sandwich though.

friendly for sure and the tea was great. located right down the street from st. judes.  lots of walk in traffic and some call ins while we were there. had a cornish hen plate that i saw as well and would like to give that a try some day as well.

i'm a pretty hardcore bbq enthusiast. so i review bbq thoroughly. although the baked beans were great, the ribs weren't that tender or flavorful. they felt rushed. thesaucewas unnecessarily too hot and also a tasteless distraction that didn't add to the flavor of the ribs. the ribs also didn't have much of a distinct rub used on it if any. the bbq spaghetti, again, had little flavor beyond that of noodles and paprika even though they were coated in sauce. thesaucehad no identity. i've never been to a bbq joint whosesaucewas so invisible even when on the items.

pretty good. the chicken was outstanding, as people have mentioned. my friend got the pulled pork sandwich. i found it odd that it was served on a hoagie bun. thesaucewas really good and the ladies who worked there on saturday were all really sweet. i would recommend cozy corner for an original memphis-style experience.

disappointed. thesaucewas not very good at all. the sausage was poor quality. the ribs did not have a good flavor. the corn on the cob was over cooked and lacked flavor. the shoulder was uneatable. the ribs were tender, nut thesauceruined them. the best part was the banana pudding.

my favorite bbq in memphis.. when it comes to ribs no one can top cozy corner. i have been enjoying their ribs for over 20 years now and covered in the mediumsauce(it is pretty spicy) there is not a better combo to be found. the ribs are cooked in a charcoal pit in full view behind the counter and when the pit master slide opens the smokey glass door i start to salivate at all the sucullent items slowly smoking to perfection.
slabs of ribs, cornish hens (find that at another q joint) wings (the best in town) and of course pork shoulder, brisket, sausage etc.
the ribs are king, cornish hen can be hit or miss but usually a tasty morsel indeed. the wings are perfectly smoked and delicious.
i usually stick to the ribs (no pun intended) and with hotsaucethey achieve perfection.
a friendly family run joint and the delightful proprietor mrs. robinson, will never fail to say thank you on your way out the door.

go right now !! and then go back.. and back.... this is truly the best bbq memphis had to offer. after the 5 hour drive with two teens and two toddlers, 6 bbq pit failures i was so distraught i was almost driven to going door to door asking someone if they were grilling tonight! so the place is less than cozy and the neighborhood isn't a place where you'd want to ask for directions. but we parked in front of the salon next door and i went in to bbq heaven. i ordered a rib plate, bbqqq spaghetti and a bbq fried bologna sandwich (which memphis has a fetish for the latter two) the me=eat was firm and succulent. thesaucewas smoky sweet and sticky just like bbq should taste!!! the bologna sandwich was at least 1/2 thick covered ion a creamy rich coleslaw and the edges were charred to perfection. these guys are no amateurs and hands down have sealed the fate of places like the neely's . i ordered a piece of their sweet potatoe pie took it to the car and returned to the car with 2 more slices in about 3 minutes. this is the sweetest and divine pie you've ever tasted and it is homemade!!. after travelling around memphis for two days eating bbq this place restored my faith in down south smoked bbq! go now and then go back!!!!!

best in memphis. for us who are really about this city, cozy corner is the place to go for bbq. the ribs are awesome. i suggest going with hot for thesaucechoice, however be aware ... hot is hot.

even the bbq baloney sandwich is good.... and i hate baloney.

i can happily say that cozy corner is worth the effort. while i may have been disappointed in the cornish hen, the charcoal cooked ribs and the still tingling on my lipssaucemore than make up for the laggards. i may still have a long way to go on my rounds through the memphis bbq hot spots, but cozy corner is near the top of my list.
