best ribs, ever!

this is a no frills bbqplacethat we found online. my husband and i ordered the ribs plate and the cornish hen plate, each of which came with a couple of sides. the cornish hen was good, the sides were unremarkable but the ribs were outstanding - probably the best ribs we've had on our us trip, and maybe the best ribs in the world!

if you want delicious, fall-off-the-bone ribs, this is theplaceto go. the mild sauce is a great combination of sweet and spicy. the location is off the beaten path, and the decor is sparse. but it's all about the food. staff is very friendly.

lunch with the wife and kid here today. went to the newplaceacross the street as they still haven't finished the repairs to the original location across the street.

from start to finish the experience was good. theplaceis very basic inside but expect they aren't doing a lot as they are moving back to the other location at some point.
i had the ribs and those were very good. the sauce was different that what i'm accustomed to as it was a bit looser and also had a bit of spice. not too much but some. i liked it and ate every piece as close to the bone as possible. sides of slaw with baked beans. the slaw was a mixture of cream and vinegar. looked like a mayo based but had some vinegar in it that was very noticeable. beans didn't send me into orbit but did have good flavor. the sauce for the ribs was probably also the base for the beans.

i did not see a pulled pork option or brisket. the sandwich that the wife got was good. as it was sliced that changes the texture of course and just not what were accustomed to. overall this was a good sandwich though.

friendly for sure and the tea was great. located right down the street from st. judes.  lots of walk in traffic and some call ins while we were there. had a cornish hen plate that i saw as well and would like to give that a try some day as well.

at the corner of north parkway and manassas in downtown memphis, meat drips overs coals daily, drawing in crowds of barbecue lovers from all over this ‘que-lovin’ country. cozy corner’s barbecue pit it’s a cozy corner; a small and humbleplacewith no bells and whistles, no tourist traps and no large wooden statues for kids to get a picture with-just one of the best places in memphis to get real deal memphis-style charcoal pit bar-b-q.

okay, but not my favorite. not going to lie...this would not be the firstplacei would tell someone to go to get memphis bbq. we got the rib tips and the cornish hen. they were both okay but not mind blowing (tasted like cornish hens we smoke at home). again, food was good but we weren't just blown away. plus, they are not super helpful when ordering...if you look out of place, they just look annoyed with you. the gentleman bringing out the food was much friendlier but this was already after we had ordered.

cooked to death but great service - better options for ribs in memphis. rub is great - staff is great - cornish hen is excellent - but ribs are consistently overcooked! greatplaceto try but there is better for ribs in memphis - central bbq/blues city are always spot for ribs downtown. for others willing/able to travel - payne's bbq and bbq shop has the most amazing bbq sandwiches! then there is germantown commissary - great service and all bbq products are best quality. btw - my aim is in no way to bash cozy - it's a awesome family owned business that kicks ass and i am proud to have it my community - and although they a lot of great bbq - their ribs are disappointing, tough, dry and not the fall of the bone goodness they should be.

the best bbq ribs i ever tasted. i went to memphis on vacation from irvine, ca. with family. we heard about the memphis bbq ribs . after going online and searching for the best we decided to go to cozy corner against the wishes of my wife who had wanted to go to a fancyplaceand had a great ribs dinner. the reviews somewhat convinced her to go along with our choice.we were not disappointed at all. a greatplacefor quality ribs.

look no further..... been disapointed lately in my travels to find decent ribs. i have found my favorite in this unasuming littleplacedowntown. service was incredible and the ribs were even better!! dont screw aroundwith th fancy joints....this is the place;)

fantastic 'q, great people!. some of the best 'q i've ever had ... but what i really gotta say is: when you walk into aplaceand the guy behind the counter yells out to the kitchen, "hey grandma, are those pies almost ready?", you just know you're in for something special.

the best bbq in memphis tennessee, i do not care what the other's say they must have not been to cozy corner, how in the heck do thatplaceon madison get the number 1 spot, they had to pay the writers in memphis for that vote. really i have been many places cozy corner still got it in memphis tennessee. the only thing i really want them to do is please do not sit down and take customer orders it just do not look good and seem to laid back but yall got some good bbq ok...i know our feet hurt but when its a long line it will move faster if you just stand up just my fyi...

love it. at first look this restaurant would be somewhere most people would pass right by, but i'm glad i stopped. the staff was very friendly and quick. when the guy brought out my to go order he opened it up for my inspection before i left, and it looked wonderful. when i got back to my office to eat my first bite was wow. the sandwich flavor was great and just melted in your mouth, and had pleanty of sauce, unlike most restaurants that put the min. amount. i am so glad i found thisplaceand will be returning again and again.

well, i heard this was theplaceto get bbq in memphis by many locals so, i ate there. i don't get it. nothing special here.

as a memphian, i have my favorite bbq joints that i frequent in town. however, i have heard nothing but amazing things about cozy corner but had never been there myself. as a true memphis foodie, i take bbq very seriously. therefore, i found it necessary to try this landmark eatery. my friend katherine came in town last week to see me, so obviously we had to get bbq while she was here. everyone knows you can't visit this town and not stop for some good pork. we pulled up to cozy corner and notice its nothing special on the outside. this is definitely your no-frills kind ofplace, which usually leads to the best kind of grub. we get in line at the counter, order our food, and find a seat. you don't have many options at cozy corner: pork, beef, cornished hen plus a few side items. and, seriously, who orders beef at a bbq place? katherine and i both get the pulled pork sandwich with two sides . i choose corn and baked beans , and katherine chooses corn and coleslaw . overall, katherine a

go right now !! and then go back.. and back.... this is truly the best bbq memphis had to offer. after the 5 hour drive with two teens and two toddlers, 6 bbq pit failures i was so distraught i was almost driven to going door to door asking someone if they were grilling tonight! so theplaceis less than cozy and the neighborhood isn't aplacewhere you'd want to ask for directions. but we parked in front of the salon next door and i went in to bbq heaven. i ordered a rib plate, bbqqq spaghetti and a bbq fried bologna sandwich (which memphis has a fetish for the latter two) the me=eat was firm and succulent. the sauce was smoky sweet and sticky just like bbq should taste!!! the bologna sandwich was at least 1/2 thick covered ion a creamy rich coleslaw and the edges were charred to perfection. these guys are no amateurs and hands down have sealed the fate of places like the neely's . i ordered a piece of their sweet potatoe pie took it to the car and returned to the car with 2 more slices in about 3 minutes. this is the sweetest and divine pie you've ever tasted and it is homemade!!. after travelling around memphis for two days eating bbq thisplacerestored my faith in down south smoked bbq! go now and then go back!!!!!

best in memphis. for us who are really about this city, cozy corner is theplaceto go for bbq. the ribs are awesome. i suggest going with hot for the sauce choice, however be aware ... hot is hot.

even the bbq baloney sandwich is good.... and i hate baloney.
