top 5 in jc!. i am in love with cootie browns - only draw back is that they got rid of that summery, fun music they always played ... it helped theatmosphereand put you in a good mood. the pizzas are fab, i love the mexican with the roasted garlic, peppers ... ahhh yum! mexicali salad is amazing too. always have great wait staff, they are on it. you have to try a key lime cookie :) love, love, love! it would be even better if they had a wine menu!!! go and try - you will not regret it. i hope they are open till the end of time, i would be so sad if they ever closed .... did i mention ... please play the tropical music you used to ... i loved it.

1st time here (actually the bristol location) food was decent but rather pricey for the portions.atmosphereis cool staff was friendly. got a piece of the “famous” key lime pie to go. will update after we eat it. foodfather says it’s worth a shot just to say u were here.

i haven't tried anything that i don't love. salads - great, tamales- great, jamacian jerk pocket-amazing, deserts- omg, sandwiches and po boys- top of the notch.

i love the funatmosphereand the friendly staff & management, they treat you like family!

colorful and inviting with a double helping of yum. i must admit, the first time we went to cootie brown's after a roller derby game in gray tn, i was worried we were going to end up with dry chicken fingers at a biker strip club.
as it turns out, cootie brown's is now the place that i look forward to eating in johnson city when i attend roller derby bouts out that way. the facility is one-of-a-kind with colorful murals, color swirled tables and a warmatmospherethat makes you just want to stick around. the staff has always been super efficient and friendly, the menu is creative and the food tasty. not to mention they have a seasonal pumpkin cheese cake that is to die for.. and did i mention that i've had some of the friendliest service that i've ever experienced in the state of tennessee?
bottom line, when traveling to johnson city, i make sure to include cootie brown's as part of my to-do list and i've not yet been let down. i recommend very highly.
