their curry sauce is unbelievably tasty. 😍
it was my first time to eat here with a friend who has eaten here several times in japan (favorite curry place). i was lucky that coco ichibanya is now here in greenhills. i don't know how they made curry sauce to taste this delicious but you will not get sick (hindi ka masasawa) with the taste. the pork cutlet & the bread complements the curry sauce, to my surprise. i would love to try the beef curry some time soon. i love how the ambiance feels like 'japan' - clean and modern.

i'm not a curry fan but this restaurant is just my happy place because their curry is that good. i eat here once or twice a month (i would eat as often as i can if they were a little bit cheaper) to satisfy curry cravings. my favorite is the pork cutlet omelette curry, level 4 spiciness. cheese hamburg is also a favorite. spiciness levels i've tried are 3, 4 and 5. level 3 is okay, level 5 is really spicy so prepare your drink! best curry in manila! #thequeenmuncherph @the_queen_muncher

coco ichibanya is my favorite japanese curry shop in the philippines. here in this greenhills branch, it is smaller than their first one, in estancia. interior is almost same, with bottled spices and books as part of the decor.

i had their pork katsu omelette curry. it waa the perfect play of flavors and textures. the egg was moist and fluffy. the pork was crisp and tender. it was just a perfect dish, having it at level 3 spice level. i like adding pickles to my curry, adding a salty-umami flavor to it.

this is one of the better dish than just having katsu curry. the egg elevates the whole experience.

coco ichibanya is one of the authentic japanese curry that you can twitch the dish to your desire size and spice level. but there are quite some difference compared to the coco ichibanya in japan. but still its one of the great curry house here. ill definitly return.

i've been meaning to visit coco ichibanya ever since it opened its first branch in manila. took me a while to visit, but it was worth the wait.

ordered the cheesy beef omelette for my first visit, and it didn't disappoint. all omelette meals come with just 200g of rice. you can't adjust the spice level for this item though. i can't take spicy food anyway, so this was good for me.

the omelette was creamy and flavorful. loved the curry/sauce so much, i ordered it again the next time.

interiors are clean and service was fast 👍👍

looking for a delighted curry house, we'll this might one the acceptable place in metro. yes it is a place for your craving tummy of curry. a japanese restaurant that indulge me to eat curry although a bit pricey but the taste definitely eat until the drop of curry sauce. with a variety of meat, level of spiciness, a choice of side dishes is a nice comfort food for me. servers are well trained and technology are infused when ordering very modern day of japan. try it now

if you have been stationed in okinawa for a bit then you must love coco ichibanaya. i'm not much of a curry fan to the point that i was just watching my marine boyfriend eat this when we were at siam paragon (bangkok). but yesterday, since i was at greenhills, i thought about giving this a try!

when i went in, i was greeted by their friendly staff. they're very accommodating and knowledgable about the food they have unlike others who would say "i don't know" once you ask them something.

service was really fast. i'm used to coco's having you wait for 20 minutes. but here, it was just 8-10 minutes.

i got their chicken cutlet (mild spicy) with cheese toppings and a 200g rice. whoever thought about having curry + cheese is a total genius! it was perfect! i love how everything blends in perfectly well. chicken cutlet was really tender. and oh, i got their full set meal which has soup, drinks, salad and desert. the japanese dressing of the salad is a bit salty but icecream ain't too sweet which is a good thing. the bacon soup is kinda bland which is okay for me. but for a person who loves tasty soups then it's not something you might like.

overall, i paid for almost 600 pesos but it is worth it! i know it's a bit pricey but it is definitely a must try! their location is also perfect and they have a nice ambiance so i'm giving it a 4.5.

it's my first time to hear of a restaurant specializing on curry. everything is more than fantastic! we ordered chicken and shrimp gratan, hamburger with cheese, and curry sauce - which are very tasty!!!!! service was very professional. we can eat there once a week, despite the busy scedule, but budget will hinder us.

went for lunch here yesterday. kind of surprised to see that the gh branch is a little different from the estancia branch. idk if it's just me but this branch has a more casual vibe and i like it better. service is faster here, and i really mean fast but at the same time the servers are still very pleasant. aside from their curry, another thing that i appreciate here is they always serve salad cold, and soup hot. not all restos follow that simple rule. will surely come back because i love japanese curry!!!:)

coco ichibanya could be found all over japan and yet i wasn't able to try it there. finally, i got to check their famous japanese curry dishes.
they do have an interesting range of spiciness of their curry from mild to crazy hot!
you could also customize the amount of rice from just 200g to 600g.
the cheese hamburger curry (php 360) was very satisfying with its cheesy center filling. it works very well with tge curry ssuce.
the pork cutlet curry (php340) was also good.
i just didn't like the naan bread with curry considering we already ordered curry dishes.

coco ichibanya has already opened 3 branches in the metro, with the promise of more branches to come... it was our first time to try the food at their greenhills branch... yey to a more convenient location!😃

the menu was a bit confusing for new patrons of the restaurant... basically, you can choose from the rice or omurice meals with different proteins or veggies, which comes with a generous amount of japanese curry... you can customize the heat level of your curry-- from mild to yowza! you can also choose from several add-ons to your basic meal... they offer anywhere from 2 to 4 add-ons (at different prices) in the form of salad, soup, dessert, and drinks-- to complete your meal... you can even mix and match proteins if you want... lastly, you can opt to add even more toppings to your rice and protein combo! items such as cheese, mushrooms, egg, cheese hamburger, sausages, eggplants, and more are available for even more flavor!😍

it's a simplified version of the extensive menu, for easy decision-making! there are lots of items available ala carte... but we kept it simple this visit. i just ordered the chicken cutlet curry rice topped with extra cheese at standard spicy level! bf ordered the pork curry omurice, medium spicy level...

we liked our respective orders! japanese curry + cheese is a combo that is just right! i liked the standard spice level, knowing i can tolerate a bit more heat... the curry had layers upon layers of spices that made for an interesting mouthful! the chicken was bland on it's own, but i was thinking it might be on purpose... too many flavors make for a confusing dish...😅

we didn't try anything else on the menu, but we were pretty happy with what we did try... service was efficient and the staff were well-trained, polite, and attentive... it was a pleasant experience all in all! 😊

i haven't had a resto i've raved for in weeks. thanks for our hungry appetites following our last minute christmas shopping, we discovered coco ichibanya.
delicious food, friendly staff and incredibly fast service even when the resto was quite packed - this is what we normally look for in a resto and i am completely satisfied with our visit.
on one of the walls it says good smell means good curry, and i couldn't agree more. once we entered, we were welcomes with an overwhelming but delicious fragrance of high grade curry.
we ordered their pork cutlet in medium hot - i am impressed with the serving size. the pork, while not as soft as the ones from yabu, was filling. the curry was perfect. it was like kfc's gravy, i was clamoring for more!
next was the shrimp curry rice gratin - medium sized shrimps over japanese rice mixed with cheese and special curry. the serving was quite smaller than the first we ordered but we scraped every last sauce from the plate! whoever invented curry with cheese was a genius!
we upgraded our meal for an additional p100 to include tea, mini salad and ice cream. i advise you take advantage of this as this is a really good deal! the salad dressing was like that of yabu's sesame dressing and the ice cream (strawberry & oreo) were both a perfect start and end to the tasty curry!
kudos to the start taffeta who were so friendly. refilling my glass for water without asking is one of the measures i use to judge service. food came in fast and bill was delivered to us in seconds. i am extremely satisfied!
i am definitely going back soon to try their omelet options. it looked delish from other tables.
to the management, please do consider making the salad an unlimited option just like yabu, that would jerk up my score to 5, i promise! :)
