first time to cobblers tavern, service excellent! my 1/2 dozen oysters natural from tasmania were to die for!! and the 300gm scotch steak mr with wild mushrooms, mashed potatoes and beans perfectly cooked!! haven't tasted anything better! i'll recommend this tavern to my friends.

the best food i have eaten .. took my mum to cobblers tavern for her birthday. there were 4 of us and we went for lunch. the meal was visually stunning and omg tasty. we had a share plate between us for entree. 2 of us had the chicken kiev, 1 had the lamb shanks and 1 had the pork belly. the meals were all spot on, and the accompanying veg and sauces were out of the ordinary (never had samphire before). then 3 of us had dessert (what a treat) and coffee. it worked out as $48.75 per head, which was so worth it.
definitely fine dining and somewhere we will be returning again and again. it was just superb. the staff were friendly and attentive.
well done cobblers...well done.

eeewwwww. if you want a beer or spirits, this is the place.....food??????? they have no idea.....we took a friend of ours there and our parents and boy was the food and service pathetic....we ordered deepfried crispy calamari which came out undercooked and soggy....sis....we ordered sliders which was bland and tasteless......the owner must be an it consultant who had money to open a pub......very disappointed.....and when we complained did the waiter give us attitude? they need a ramsey nightmare in there.....disgusted with the food and service....but the morons got the beer to taste like beer at least......never to return....i will. rather fly to auckland and eat quality tasty food...

the seven of us decided to catch up for a night out without our sneakers and weights gloves to indulge in a delicious dinner at cobblers falcon. cobblers tavern has recently reopened after a pretty extensive renovation. although a sports bar and bottle shop, it also boasts an impressive restaurant that concentrates on fresh local produce, in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly service.  

had a lovely lunch here with my parents. they kindly changed up the menu for my mum who wanted a fish sandwich instead of steak. chicken salad was delish and so were the chicken sliders. a tab bonus for dad 😃

not quite the same as our last visit.
the mother's day set menu for $55 looked promising on paper but didn't deliver the same level of amazingness as previously experienced. the service was very sluggish to start, as we waited 15 mins to get a drinks order in, and we had to flag down a waitstaff to get the order in. the second service error was that after a lengthy wait the mains arrived before the entree. the entree of crab cakes was presented well and the cakes were in short supply as the table tried to raid my plate. the steak wasn't in the same light however. it was cooked perfectly but really lacked nice marbalisation. overall the experience didn't have the wow factor of the last visit, but i still remember the duck dish so that will bring me back to give the a la carte menu.

a great option if you are in the area!. this was our first visit to the refurbished cobblers and boy they have done a cracking job.
the decor is a mixture of exposed beams, oversized light bulbs and exposed brick. the fit out could happily slot into a mt lawley hot zone.
the wine list is basic but has an option for most taste buds. the food menu has eclectic mix of proteins, breads and vegetarian options to keep the table happy.

we ordered an array of dishes ranging from charcuterie board to confit duck. all proteins throughout everyone's meal were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. the confit duck was the highlight for me with a melt in your mouth experience. the beet root fans will also love this dish as the multiple flavours and textures compliments the duck well. the tin lids have a fairly basic choice but should suffice for the pizza and chicken lovers.
the service wasn't quite to the high standards of the food and decor but still was perfectly acceptable.
the 'new' cobblers has clearly lifted the food service to a level where there is no local competition for them.
p.s the wife said the pork belly was one of the best she has had
food 8.5/10 service 7/10 decor 8.5/10

i'm always excited to dine at a new restaurant, as it usually brings new flavours and experiences with it. we sat in their alfresco dining area, as it was a beautiful day. the spring roll entree was a great way to start off the proceedings, with a crunchy shell and wonderfully cooked interior. the turkish bread entree was excellent value, with perfectly cooked chorizo, fetta, pesto, a dipping sauce with strong undertones of yoghurt, and of course the olive oiled bread. our eye fillet dishes consisted of all the different sides that were available on the menu. whilst the salad and chips was simple, it was effective in tying the protein together with the mushroom and red wine sauce. the rosti provided with another included side dish was really good, with a crunchy textured shell and soft inners. the potato bake that was another element of an eye fillet side dish wasn't enjoyed as much as the others, due to being under seasoned. there is some great little techniques and alot of elements of the dishes that are made from scratch in house which is a good thing too see in a pub restaurant. if i'm in the area again i'll happily make a return visit. food 7/10 decor 5.5/10 (alfresco) service 7/10

yummo. went for lunch on a wednesday .had two entrees and two desserts .squid and prawn entrees were delicious with a particularly yummy sauce on the squid (served separately which was a nice touch). deserts were sensational especially the peanut butter salted caramel with nougat ! service was personal and excellent . very good standard of food and presentation -we will be back !

overrated. food was okay, not good or fresh. ordered the pizza, fried chicken and lamb. can taste that they are not cooked fresh and pizza was blend.
only positive was good service.

i am absolutely shocked with the treatment we received last night!

my partner and i were having our first night out in over 4 months since finding out we’re expecting another child. we we’re having a relaxed night with a couple of friends until some girls put their drinks on our table. when we asked them to please move them and go to one of the many empty tables they turned around and said no they can do what they like because they work here! previous to this they were at the table next to us filming or taking photos and had a go at us when we called them out on it. they eventually walked away after some arguing and then a few minutes later one comes back, starts crying and carrying on (obviously had way too much to drink) and refused to leave us alone. the manager then came out and told us to leave! his staff were clearly drunk (i understand that it was their night off) and their behaviour would have caused them to be removed from any other pub/bar but he kicked the pregnant lady and her friends out instead!

we will definitely never be back after that experience and i hope he does deal with those girls like he said he would, but they were still there when we were walking out.

have been once before and wasn’t that impressed, others were though so i thought i would give it another go. came for lunch here today and really enjoyed ourselves. last time i remember the salt and pepper squid being amazing but today it was pretty average. i do like that there is 2 menus because the bar menu is cheaper and more options but i don’t understand why sometimes they allow you to order from it in the restaurant and other times you have to order from the restaurant menu. anyway today was pretty good and i’ll be back, they place looks absolutely fabulous inside and i’m keen to try the rest of the menu

very hard to fault this place! the food is full of flavour, artistically presented, with truly friendly service from attentive, young, attractive staff.
when we arrived, the staff were flat out serving meals etc, but 2 different staff members acknowledged us and said that someone would be with us as soon as possible. sure enough, we were soon greeted and escorted to our table. our drinks (a virgin mojito, lemon, lime and bitters, and a squires cider) were all really good, and the mojito especially was fresh and delicious.
fantastic entrees of pulled pork spring rolls and salt and ash squid. the pork belly, chicken kiev and scotch fillet were all sensational, beautifully presented and very tasty! we even managed to squeeze in a dessert of ice cream, chocolate sauce and sponge fingers, with m&m shards of chocolate!! $190 for three of us, including two large ciders. pretty reasonable and there were enough yummy sounding choices on the menu that we're already planning a return trip to try them out.

came here for dinner. very friendly service, cocktails were great and drinks menu extensive. i had the salt and pepper prawns and fresh oysters with chilli and lime. both were amazing and was tempted to order more oysters. ordered the crab linguini main but was a little off-put by the spices used. the serving size was huge but i didn't like the dish overall. it tasted like pasta with soggy batter through it. i've ordered here before and really enjoy the food but just a bad choice by me. if only this dish could be re-designed? i was really craving pasta! fresh crab meat, olive oil, garlic etc with red or white sauce would have hit the spot!

went there last night to celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary.very noisy,being of the older generation and not a big eater i ordered a "mini meal" this was my big mistake it should be called a "taster or micro dish,a meal it was not.presented well,tasted good,but two mouthfuls and it was gone.thank goodness my grandchildren left some chips.

went to cobblers tavern last night for a friends birthday dinner. the atmosphere was great, the staff were very friendly and the food was all beautifully presented. i was awkwardly staring at other people's food as i got up to go to the bar, it all looked so good i wanted to try everything! i ended up choosing the gnocchi but unfortunately it was not the texture i was hoping for... it was too soft... a bit too close to mashed potato balls.. i would still return to try other meals as everyone else said theirs was delicious.
