the best food i have eaten .. took my mum to cobblers tavern for her birthday. there were 4 of us and we went for lunch. themealwas visually stunning and omg tasty. we had a share plate between us for entree. 2 of us had the chicken kiev, 1 had the lamb shanks and 1 had the pork belly. the meals were all spot on, and the accompanying veg and sauces were out of the ordinary (never had samphire before). then 3 of us had dessert (what a treat) and coffee. it worked out as $48.75 per head, which was so worth it.
definitely fine dining and somewhere we will be returning again and again. it was just superb. the staff were friendly and attentive.
well done cobblers...well done.

not quite the same as our last visit.
the mother's day set menu for $55 looked promising on paper but didn't deliver the same level of amazingness as previously experienced. the service was very sluggish to start, as we waited 15 mins to get a drinks order in, and we had to flag down a waitstaff to get the order in. the second service error was that after a lengthy wait the mains arrived before the entree. the entree of crab cakes was presented well and the cakes were in short supply as the table tried to raid my plate. the steak wasn't in the same light however. it was cooked perfectly but really lacked nice marbalisation. overall the experience didn't have the wow factor of the last visit, but i still remember the duck dish so that will bring me back to give the a la carte menu.

a great option if you are in the area!. this was our first visit to the refurbished cobblers and boy they have done a cracking job.
the decor is a mixture of exposed beams, oversized light bulbs and exposed brick. the fit out could happily slot into a mt lawley hot zone.
the wine list is basic but has an option for most taste buds. the food menu has eclectic mix of proteins, breads and vegetarian options to keep the table happy.

we ordered an array of dishes ranging from charcuterie board to confit duck. all proteins throughout everyone'smealwere cooked perfectly and seasoned well. the confit duck was the highlight for me with a melt in your mouth experience. the beet root fans will also love this dish as the multiple flavours and textures compliments the duck well. the tin lids have a fairly basic choice but should suffice for the pizza and chicken lovers.
the service wasn't quite to the high standards of the food and decor but still was perfectly acceptable.
the 'new' cobblers has clearly lifted the food service to a level where there is no local competition for them.
p.s the wife said the pork belly was one of the best she has had
food 8.5/10 service 7/10 decor 8.5/10

i'm always excited to dine at a new restaurant, as it usually brings new flavours and experiences with it. we sat in their alfresco dining area, as it was a beautiful day. the spring roll entree was a great way to start off the proceedings, with a crunchy shell and wonderfully cooked interior. the turkish bread entree was excellent value, with perfectly cooked chorizo, fetta, pesto, a dipping sauce with strong undertones of yoghurt, and of course the olive oiled bread. our eye fillet dishes consisted of all the different sides that were available on the menu. whilst the salad and chips was simple, it was effective in tying the protein together with the mushroom and red wine sauce. the rosti provided with another included side dish was really good, with a crunchy textured shell and soft inners. the potato bake that was another element of an eye fillet side dish wasn't enjoyed as much as the others, due to being under seasoned. there is some great little techniques and alot of elements of the dishes that are made from scratch in house which is a good thing too see in a pub restaurant. if i'm in the area again i'll happily make a return visit. food 7/10 decor 5.5/10 (alfresco) service 7/10

went there last night to celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary.very noisy,being of the older generation and not a big eater i ordered a "mini meal" this was my big mistake it should be called a "taster or micro dish,amealit was not.presented well,tasted good,but two mouthfuls and it was gone.thank goodness my grandchildren left some chips.

if u like rude customer service a being ripped off cobblers is perfect for you, its almost a guarantee you'll leave  hungry a thirsty and alittle more miserable than when u walked in. but seriously it not bad place and the food is nice if you get the privilege of actually getting themealyou paid for. cobblers need to check their human resourcing there is no point having a nice venue with god food if the customers are treated like a inconvenience and get the orders stuffed up all the time.

beautifulmeal. had entree , main and dessert . all lovely. wait staff fantastic and attentive . just wish they were wearing name badges so i can let them know what a great job they done !!

good food. normally go to the cobblers for a barmealand a couple beers,

have to say the parma has always been one of the better ones around at the moment,

having something like this away from the main part of town is good also for those living south of mandurah,

shall be back soon.

wow - what a perfect lunch !. as soon as we saw the menu one of our friends commented - "this menu really excites me!" and she was so right, from the moment we saw the dishes coming past our table we had difficulty choosing from the interesting menu. we all had 3 courses and everyone was absolutely thrilled with their selections. cobblers ticks every box with their varied menu, excellent food served by staff who really take pride in their job. don't waste time and money travelling to the city, you won't get a bettermealanywhere!

just superb!. my daughter booked us in for dinner tonight. themealand service were excellent. only two of us had entrees. their blue manna crab cakes were delicious, as was the ash and black pepper squid. two chose steak for the main - cooked exactly as requested, whilst i had cobbler's take on chicken kiev, complete with prawns as a tasty extra. didn't think there would be room for dessert, but their dessert menu is varied and definitely worth trying. i had the churros with four dipping sauces.
my goodness! the tastiest salted caramel sauce i have ever eaten. i didn't get to try the ice cream - that went to the one who didn't order dessert!

i have to compliment the service. the wait-staff were attentive, very friendly and efficient. good timing between courses.
it was a positive thing to see how busy the restaurant was for a monday evening - i think this is a testament to the quality of the food and ambience.
it was only the second time i've been back to cobblers since it re-opened, but it was pleasing to see that the menu had changed with some new additions along with the regular steak and fish.

this was an excellentmealout and we will be back again soon. i think cobblers is going to become our new favourite place to go.

sensational. was not expecting such a high standard meal. everymealwas presented very well and the staff attentive. started with garlic bread, 8 huge slices with evoo and balsamic. mains- gnocchi with mushrooms, very tasty. scotch steak with red wine jus was cooked to perfection and could be cut easily with a butter knife. espresso brûlée was served with a chocolate brownie and ice cream, sensational. apple and rhubarb crumble was served with strawberry sorbet and a gorgeous vanilla bean custard. will definitely be going back. not the typical pubmeali was expecting and the prices are reasonable too.

i ordered the twice cooked duck and paid $31 for thismealn recieved one tiny piece of duck and loads and loads of the beetroot that came with it. portion of the duck vs beetroot is way out.

good stuff!. cobblers have given me a greatmealabout 10 out of 10 times. most recently when the place was busy and our table of 15 all got our meals at the same time and where all to a consistent and good standard.

dont judge a book. i went there bcos it was close by
and wasnt expecting much bcos im a very fussy eater
but it was amazing
i ordered the pork dish with loin and belly and crackling
an it was probably the most lovelymeali have ever had!!
it was a good price and served hot and visually appealling
well done
