i ordered the twice cooked duck and paid $31 for this meal n recieved one tiny piece of duck and loads and loads of the beetroot that came with it. portion of the duck vs beetroot is way out.

love love love. my partner and i have been to the new cobbler's three times now. twice we sat in the pub and enjoyed the fish and chips - which you can taste is made with fresh fish - and the squid - which comes with the best honey soy dipping sauce (which is oddly omitted from the menu).
the third time we went for a birthday and sat in the restaurant. i loved (loved) the pork belly. i waddled out with a full happy tummy.
one last thing i love is that they offer wine in larger glasses. who doesnt love a goblet of moscato on a hot summer's day!?

the place gets noisy. people bring their kids. you get the odd bogans.
thats just mandurah.
what keeps us coming back is the food

two hungry aussies. hero to zero! we enjoyed a visit to the reopened cobblers tavern in january and were pleasantly surprised. so a revisit was planned for last sunday and oh-boy what a disappointment! the locals have taken over the bar and they really bring the place down. with no separation between the restaurant and the bar the atmosphere is appalling. loud drunken youths playing with an oversized jenga set which clattered to the floor routinely throughout the evening (bad idea owners!) my steak was tough and questionable in origin. the waitress confirmed that it was actually a fillet steak but i remain dubious. my wife enjoyed the chicken pasta dish so it was not a complete wash out. a couple of slips from the wait staff didn't add to the experience and then to be ignored by a young man standing at the counter waiting to pay our bill sealed the deal. we will not be back!

best meal i've had in mandurah! it's a great mixture of fine dining, great atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff! two thumbs up!

fairly average i have to say... service and atmosphere was great but my chicken salad was super dry/over cooked and tough (way too much spanish onion). mum had the tasting plate which she thought the tasting plate was good but the tarrine needed something else (bit bland).

second visit to cobblers. love they way they've rebuilt the tavern. only had grazing menu items, garlic bread exceptional, turkish bread share plate ok. chorizo is cheap and basil pesto is very rich, but nice. mini olives? i wouldn't bother- i would imagine this us the one item that gets thrown away.
my one bug bear- they serve a kids menu in the bar area, the usual junk food, however when you come to order ice cream you have to be in the restaurant? so to stay longer (and buy more drink) to keep the kids happy, we sent them to maccas for a sunday and then got a visit from the bouncer when the kids brought them back to eat.

newly reopened! wow!. hubby and i went to the newly reopened cobblers for lunch this week - and wow we were blown away! the staff are friendly and helpful; the tab area is huge and well set out; and the food is delicious! we ordered the salt and pepper squid (to die for) and the prawn and chorizo pizza. both came out quickly and were delicious! my only suggestion (because face it - it is an amazing pub) would be to make the pizza bases a little bit more crispy!

we look forward to cobblers being our new local!

culinary orgasm. my partner and i took ourselves away out of mandurah city and seeked the advice of fellow urbansponers on where to get a least one good meal...how the spooners were so spot on had the barramundi ,clams ,prawns...superb,presentation....amazing..i was eating art...my partner the pork loin ...again ,brilliant..do yourselves a favour...this place is a must..dosnt look much but 10/10 for fresh food and presentation....unreal....still tingling

good stuff!. cobblers have given me a great meal about 10 out of 10 times. most recently when the place was busy and our table of 15 all got our meals at the same time and where all to a consistent and good standard.

dont judge a book. i went there bcos it was close by
and wasnt expecting much bcos im a very fussy eater
but it was amazing

an it was probably the most lovely meal i have ever had!!

much better. i wrote a review a couple of months ago, and it was just terrible.

they must've changed the chef, because i begrudgingly went a couple of nights ago and to my surprise the fancy overpriced menu was out, and the original menu was back!

the food was great, service was great, there's nothing i can complain about!

well done to cobblers for turning it around so quickly!

don't bother. i've been to this pub a few times recently, and always expected good food as a few years ago it was great.

i have been disappointed everytime. firstly it is extremely overpriced. $39 for a steak?! come on - you're a pub in mandurah.

i order the crab cakes as an entree ($18!!!), it tasted like old frying oil and was extremely hot on the outside by freezing on the inside. i asked the waitress if it was possible to get it warmed up, and she gave me an exasperated look and came back with my microwaved warm entree. unfortunately the microwaving didn't give it any flavour.

i had a steak ($39) and ordered it rare, it came well done. i only complained because it was like chewing on rubber, i was told by the waitress that it would get pinker as i got into the middle.... ok then. so i spend the next 20 minutes chewing my way through a piece of rubber for $39.

just terrible.

bloody brilliant. we took our family to cobblers after we found out our normal restaurant wasnt open, what a gorgeous suprise! the service is first class and the food is exceptional. we have gone back for lunch and the same brilliant service and gorgeous food. very nice atmosphere and has now become my new favourite restaurant..

great food. great service.. 4 out of 9 people had the steak and they loved every morsel. porterhouse. i had the chicken linguini it was quite nice but not wow. our waitress was lovely. wish i knew her name. organized that we had separate billing for all and worked great. picture and pencils supplied for kids. kids menu were all priced at $10 and servings were huge. all in all a good night. we will be back. have eaten here before. alfresco in the warmer months was very nice.

good. we have been here several times and the food is always good. the chilli mussels are nice.
