not good for any price!. wow, great resort, great customer service; really, really mediocre food. very disappointing.

my wife and i had a dinner and a breakfast at cibolo in the last 2 days and both were a waste of money at about $50-60 each.

for our appetizer, we tried a goat cheese something-or-other that was a small, luke-warm tray of goop. the accompanying bread, crusty baguette slices, was tough and chewy. not a good start.

my wife had a so-so hamburger ($13, if memory serves) but my chicken pasta dish was overburdened by smoky and bacon flavors. it was a heavy mess. to put it in perspective, you'd send this back if it was the olive garden.

the breakfast the next morning was about as poor. we decided to avoid the buffet, partially because we didn't want to compete with the throngs of people waiting on omelettes. the food took quite awhile to arrive (at least 15 minutes). the omelette was ok but unremarkable. the eggs benedict were pretty unremarkable - again, an ihop or denny's breakfast would have been hotter and faster. the waffles were undercooked and almost cold.

to their credit, i let management know (after yet another bad experience at another restaurant on the property) and they credited back one of the meals.

overall, we had a positive experience at the resort - it's really pretty, the overall customer service was very good, including at the restaurants.

but cibolo was so poor that we ended up leaving the property for breakfast on our last day, simply to avoid another mediocre and expensive dining experience.

great!. my experience at cibolo moon was wonderful. the host's made me feel very welcomed as did my server. they attended to our needs and assured us our food was how we liked it. the manager came by and talked with us which made us feel important. time management was excellent. we had a great time and expect to go back for more!

lunch. ate lunch several times while at the resort for a meeting. food was good, service attentive and price about right. not really much above average hotel fair, but they seem to be improving rapidly compared to some of the other reviews i have read.

worst experience ever.. my experience at cibolo moon. first impression. we walked in about 11:30 am and were seated outside of the dining room. it was good until we sat down.

(allow me to create the persona of the wait staff. think of these stuck up brats that think they are something extra special just for working there. they walk around expecting someone else to do their job with their nose so high in the air that you mistake their nostrils for their eye sockets. and their attitudes: terrible.

first: our waitress, after taking our drink order, blaitently ingores questions about the entrees. (i'm a pilot, i speak loud.) and then she walks off... and we wait..... and wait.... finally, after a few seasons pass as well as my hunger, the drinks arrive! (two teas) *remember the teas.

second: i ask about the food again. what does she do? gives me (the customer) attitude. so i grit my teeth and take it. i order the bbq sandwhich. my wife is so disgusted that she doesn't order anything. and again we wait, except now i'm upset and i start paying close attention to whats going on. food preparation time: average at best.

food arrives, the waitress slaps it down on the table and again, walks off, which i assumed she was going to get me some silverware.. wrong. keep in mind, when we sat down, the tables are empty with the exception of a nice looking candle. so we're sitting there, no sugar for our teas, no salt or pepper for the food, and no silverware. my outrageously expensive sandwhich is getting cold...

as i'm sitting there, my blood starts to boil. i count *8*, eight, ocho, waitstaff, standing around talking guys hanging all over the girls, while the manager hangs on the hostesses.

so i get up, i have to walk over and ask for everything myself and still they didn't bring sugar. food presentation was good, the bbq sandwhich itself was a different story. it tasted just like the hill country fare ready to eat bbq in the can. i've cooked better bbq myself.

summary: extremely disappointed. the manager needs to be fired and that restaurant overhauled because they are losing business every day because of the extreme lack of discipline. i will not be returning to cibolo moon.

very bad and cold. i was really hoping that this place would be good and a new place to go. unfortunately it was a very very big disappointment. the shrimp appetizers was almost under cooked and cold, the fish was cool and tasteless and for the first time in my history, i had a bake potato where the butter would not melt because the potato was colder than the butter! on the upside, the wedge lettuce salad was good. two thumbs down and this restaurant is in first place to receive my annual golden turd award 2010.

edesia. went with friends for lunch and thought the food was plentiful and very tasty. the service, although friendly was a bit disjointed, but expected for such a brand new place. prices were very reasonable and typical for s.a.
will visit again soon.

incredible experience. i took my wife and 2 girls to have lunch today and we were all incredibly impressed by everything. our server, carly, made my girls feel like they were just as important as we were. there was a bit of a wait to be seated, but brian, the manager, made us feel important and not just another family looking to be seated. the food was hot and fantastic! the portions were huge and well priced. we are definitely going back and bringing more friends.

this restaurant was beyond being just a massive disappointment, it was downright terrible. everything from the undercooked (i mean, raw) chicken, the terrible service, and the mediocre food. don't waste your time here! because trust me, you will sit for just 30 minutes waiting for water alone. such a disappointment!!!

i was severly let down by this restaurant. from the service to the food it was awful. the service was beyond awful. the food was nothing special. the chicken was actually raw... not pleased. there are about 500 other places to go in san antonio. it's a shame that this is going to be the face of san antonio. i hoped for so much more...
