christi's cafe

i had lunch there today and thought it was really good. i was there around 10:30 and it was busy. the inside is diner themed and pleasant and there is plenty of parking.

i had a cup of chili with cheese, onions, and spaghetti. i thought it was really good for chili out and i'm kind of picky on chili. i also had a triple decker club that was also really good. i couldn't finish it and brought half of it home. i also tried the fried cornbread, but wouldn't opt for it again. i'm from the deep south and it was too sweet for me. :-) it was like a pancake sweet. it's not bad if you like your cornbread sweet. (southerners eat everything sweet, except cornbread.) the sweet tea was perfectly sweet and i liked that.

everything on the menu looked good and it was pretty much the standard diner/family restaurant fare. the servers were busy but worked hard and the service was good. the other patrons were warm and friendly and there are obviously a lot of regulars here and i can see why. nothing fancy or pretentious here, just good comfort food served by warm, friendly people. nexttimei'm back in the area, it's definitely on the list.

meh. the dinner selection and breakfast sandwiches are great, however i got an order of their biscuits and gravy once, and the gravy was sour. also, the young ladies in the establishment need to understand whattimemanagement and customer service means. they are on their phones way too much and it takes them forever to bring you a drink. i've been a waitress and hostess before...and it's not rocket science. people caught on their cell phones were warned once, and the secondtimefired. obviously the owner/manager doesn't focus on meetings or additional training to bring this to attention. thankfully there are good cooks in the back, otherwise this business would diminish quickly.

awesome. very nice staff accurate service food done fresh not over or under cooked delivered to your table in reasonable amount oftimegood place to spend less money for more food on the plate better then going to apple bees or anything further on down dixie and the best thing is because there like a dinner you can get whatever you want all day.cant wait to go back.

good food, bad service!. my family and i travel to louisville 2 or 3 times a month. we love to stop at
christi's cafe for breakfast when we do. the food is really good. but the last
2 times we had a lousy waitress. (the same waitress both times) yesterday (1/23) she spent so muchtimerunning her mouth that we ate our breakfast without our coffee. when my husband mention it to her, while paying our bill, another customer told her the same thing. he told her she completely ignored us, even when my husband had turned around and was tapping on his cup to get her attention! it was around 8:30 and the restaurant wasn't busy.
