christi's cafe

food andserviceis always awesome!. cristi's cafe has the best chicken fried steak! i always ate other items on the menu until i decided to give it a try and i have been hooked ever since! i mean their other food is great too! it never disappoints!

i had lunch there today and thought it was really good. i was there around 10:30 and it was busy. the inside is diner themed and pleasant and there is plenty of parking.

i had a cup of chili with cheese, onions, and spaghetti. i thought it was really good for chili out and i'm kind of picky on chili. i also had a triple decker club that was also really good. i couldn't finish it and brought half of it home. i also tried the fried cornbread, but wouldn't opt for it again. i'm from the deep south and it was too sweet for me. :-) it was like a pancake sweet. it's not bad if you like your cornbread sweet. (southerners eat everything sweet, except cornbread.) the sweet tea was perfectly sweet and i liked that.

everything on the menu looked good and it was pretty much the standard diner/family restaurant fare. the servers were busy but worked hard and theservicewas good. the other patrons were warm and friendly and there are obviously a lot of regulars here and i can see why. nothing fancy or pretentious here, just good comfort food served by warm, friendly people. next time i'm back in the area, it's definitely on the list.

meh. the dinner selection and breakfast sandwiches are great, however i got an order of their biscuits and gravy once, and the gravy was sour. also, the young ladies in the establishment need to understand what time management and customerservicemeans. they are on their phones way too much and it takes them forever to bring you a drink. i've been a waitress and hostess before...and it's not rocket science. people caught on their cell phones were warned once, and the second time fired. obviously the owner/manager doesn't focus on meetings or additional training to bring this to attention. thankfully there are good cooks in the back, otherwise this business would diminish quickly.

had avoided it based on one persons experience when it first opened. glad we gave it a try, ate there saturday and sunday. bigmouth burger is my favorite. country fried steak is the best i have tasted in years.

they're food was excellent but they'reservicewas horrible . the girl seriously ignored us. also she forgot to bring me my coffee . instead of getting our drinks, she sat there & took selfies & the other girl looked like she just came in from a hang over . they have too many young girls, who aren't doing there job . i won't be back !!!

awesome. very nice staff accurateservicefood done fresh not over or under cooked delivered to your table in reasonable amount of time good place to spend less money for more food on the plate better then going to apple bees or anything further on down dixie and the best thing is because there like a dinner you can get whatever you want all day.cant wait to go back.

great new find / we'll be back. went to christi's today with friends on their recommendation. we were not disappointed. huge main dish portion had both my wife and i taking home leftovers.servicewas good and the wait staff very pleasant.

great home cooking offerings, breakfast available 24/7. we both had the boneless fried chicken and it was great. we all shared fried pickles and fried green tomatoes. yes, eating well was blown today, but it was worth it!

prices were not low or high. 36 and change for 3 people on our bill. considering an appetizer being ordered i consider that respectable.

i will say that it was interesting to see a great client mix. families of 4 or more. older husbands and wives. 3 members of the "grim reapers motorcycle club" (all wearing t-shirts signifying such and all looked the part). 3 uniformed louisville metro police officers. now that is americana folks.

give this place a try. we'll definitely be back soon!

great place for breakfast. the food at christi's is good simple country cooking. i'm not a big fan of the decor (it seems a little kitschy) and theserviceis variable- i've had long, long waits for my food a few times. but the cooking is consistently decent, and they make a fine breakfast. for dinner, they're not the best local option (that'd probably be jessie's) but the menu offers enough choice to satisfy most members of my family. pricewise, they're a little more expensive than their competitors, but it's not a serious problem; i'd still recommend them to anyone looking for a reasonable family restaurant.
