even though name is dumpling king, they are famous with cheap eattaiwanesestyle good food without emptying your pocket.
you can choose small or large deal, 1 side, 1 main and 1 drink.

we visited thistaiwaneseeatery last week after many years of absence, not being in the area that often. it was great to see that the food is just as good as it was 15 years ago, very reasonably priced and well cooked. service is friendly and efficient. their set meals come with a main, rice and a couple of accompaniments (usually egg, vegetable or tofu) and a slice of orange to finish. there are also a variety of small side dishes on display that you can pick and choose from. the place can get busy but turnover is fast.

this is quite goodtaiwaneserestaurant quality. have a lots of cold dishes menu and shouldn't miss a bowl of pork mince rice. jelly pork ear was a very interesting dish to try too. but it will be very long queues for linch time.

one of my favourite places fortaiwanesefood in sydney. their pork mince rice is my favourite! the small rice + a side + a drink for $14 is a steal! you definitely get your money’s worth and a full stomach as well.

you know a place is good when theres a queue outside a line of restaurants and you will not be disappointed with this humble authentictaiwanesejoint. highly recommend the braised pork with rice and the fried pork chops. the cold dishes are the bomb-my fav are (if you dare) pig ears, bamboo shoots and mushrooms w. glutinous balls. also don't go without trying their pearl milk tea, it's the best i've had!

you would think they sell dumplings but they don't. this place should be calledtaiwaneseking because they do damn goodtaiwanesesnacks and dishes. we go for the beef noodle soup but admittedly its been quite bland lately. the fried chicken is always good though as well as their side dishes like pig ears, tripe, seaweed salad and tofu.

the very best hot & sour soup in town, i never get it anywhere else. must've had it here dozens of times over the years.

for something like $11 you can gettaiwaneseminced pork on rice, soup, and a choice of side dish - try the fried tofu. if it's before 5pm, there's a soup & side dish snack deal for a lot less, & you get to sit down with hot tea as well. small & crowded, which is fair enough for the price.
efficient & busy takeaway service.

the cold dishes are small, cheap & interesting. if you're not an offal fan then check the descriptions carefully, or ask. vegetarian dishes include chilli bamboo shoots, mashed potato, fried eggplant, soya skin, pickled cucumber.... eat in or takeaway this place is reliable for good food, bargain prices, no frills.

don't let the name fool you, there's no dumplings here but that's not what you go here for.
this place has always been my staple on good valuetaiwanesefood, the cold little dishes are always a delicious adventure, the set meals are delicious and full of variety and that pork in the meat sauce rice just melts in your mouth.
this is a must try hole in the wall place in sydney.

no dumplings here.... hehe. but what they do sell is traditionaltaiwaneseside dishes and a menu of yummytaiwanesefood too. there iced green tea drink is probably my most favourite item besides the side dishes whenever i go there. the stewed pork with rice is also a hit and the beef noodle soup is a must try also! possibly the besttaiwanesefood i've had in sydney ever!

first thing's first did you know that cho dumpling doesn't actually sell dumplings?? i know right. #falseadvertising. instead they have a smorgasbord oftaiwaneseset menus and side dishes, the latter being available inside "buffet style".
