a group of us wanted to honor the late great chuck bradley by picking a restaurant which he reviewed positively. chuck did not disappoint, the girls were a little hesitant about our "nice meal out" as wepulledup to a small building in a town we have never been to. the staff was very friendly and the patio had a great atmosphere. the prices were very good, $16 for a great prime rib. the wings were great with extra sauce to dip the included fries in. we all also somehow made room for dessert and had some oreo cheesecake and peanut butter chocolate pie. the local beer from steelhead was also good and try we're offering samples on the patio. good times, thanks chuck!

a converted upright freezer.......... serves as the smoker for this gem of a que-burger-wing joint. and, trust me, it works just fine!

my brother and i drove out coburg rd from eugene to find this highly recommended place and we both agreed that it lived up to its rep.

we split a mushroom swiss burger, apulledpork sandwich and a pound of wings with medium buffalo sauce. i had a garden salad and he had a potato salad side.

boy howdy! thepulledpork was reallypulledand just about melted in our mouths. instructions on my next visit will be to put the bbq sauce on the side. if the meat requires any, it should be very little. the burger, which has been touted to me as the "best in oregon" is certainly in the running. the bun was barely up to the task and was in tatters before i was through with my half. the wings were perfect and came with a load of home-make chips the likes of which i've only had at the now defunct k.i.s.s café in salem.

as if i hadn't stuffed myself to the point of ridiculousness already, kelly came back to the table with an in-house-made cinnamon roll that just about set me free!

if you've never been here, you need to go. but be warned. this ain't no lunch for no lightweight!

amazing.... we were traveling home to the oregon coast. stopped to walk the dogs in the park and a woman said if you need a place to eat go to chief's on the main street and recommended the pork sandwich. sounded good, so we gave it a try. it was busy as there was an oregon football game on the big tvs. hubby had thepulledpork sandwich and i had the beef brisket sandwich. both terrific--piles of juicy meat on a fresh grilled bun with choice of several sides. good looking dessert selection too, although we didn't get anything. very reasonable prices. servings so big, we ended up having the rest for dinner. could easily split a sandwich if we could agree on one. staff are friendly and fun. a must stop place in coburg!

second visit, equally as good but the mac and cheese was a surprise. came in a big, deep fried ball. you could tell it was good mac and cheese but this presentation was not for me. waitress advised me that you can get it just heated, but you have to ask. i'll do that next time!
