a converted upright freezer.......... serves as the smoker for this gem of a que-burger-wing joint. and, trust me, it works just fine!
my brother and i drove out coburg rd from eugene to find this highly recommended place and we both agreed that it lived up to its rep.
we split a mushroom swiss burger, apulledpork sandwich and a pound of wings with medium buffalo sauce. i had a garden salad and he had a potato salad side.
boy howdy! thepulledpork was reallypulledand just about melted in our mouths. instructions on my next visit will be to put the bbq sauce on the side. if the meat requires any, it should be very little. the burger, which has been touted to me as the "best in oregon" is certainly in the running. the bun was barely up to the task and was in tatters before i was through with my half. the wings were perfect and came with a load of home-make chips the likes of which i've only had at the now defunct k.i.s.s café in salem.
as if i hadn't stuffed myself to the point of ridiculousness already, kelly came back to the table with an in-house-made cinnamon roll that just about set me free!
if you've never been here, you need to go. but be warned. this ain't no lunch for no lightweight!
