delicious food and excellent service!. delicious! if you're looking for a restaurant with delicious food, a great neighborhood feel, a great location, live music and weekly specials...you can't beat chef's palette. it's rare to find a restaurant that "has it all," but that's honestly what it has! from elegantly plated meals, a skilled wait-staff, wonderful $5 burger nights to taco tuesdays (our favorite!) - this restaurant is terrific. thank you chef's palette...we will definitely be back. :)

food is great!. tuna is very fresh! this was a special tuna entree that was offered one night.
they have great nightly specials on both food and drinks!

one of my very favorite places in cary!!!!. this place is just so much fun! the last time i went to chef's palette, i had a close friend meet me there who was coming from far away. she said she knew immediately she was in the right place from the bright beautiful torches burning outside that you can see from ten ten road! all in all, this place is so festive! everyone here is super-friendly. there is an outdoor patio where you can get a breath of fresh air, great bands play in the bar, and everything i've ever ordered food-wise was totally delish! will be back with more friends!

great date night place...room 4 improvement. i loved the art and the dark lighting with the cool electronic menus. i wish i had gotten a starter. my scallops were delicious but not piping hot which was disappointing and distracting from the flavor. remember to order a side or all u get is the meat like most upscale places do; i wish the server had up-saled that like she tried to push the alcohol. my husband's salad with blackened salmon was very good and a generous portion. i saved room for dessert b/c of the rave reviews. mistake. my creme brûlée was more like flan, too eggy and no flavor except the torched top. we returned the ginger cake b/c the yogurt made the granola so hard it was almost impossible to eat and my hubby who loves peanut butter didn't like the pb foam on top. i'd be willing to try once again, but boy was it disappointing for my birthday. they did put a sparkler in dessert for my bday which was sweet. i will give 3 out of 5 which is generous, mostly for ambiance and creativity.

delicious and low carb!. enjoyed the delicious filet chefs special, last night. was shocked to see i could have a meal like this in a restaurant and remain low-carb! creamed cauliflower was fantastic! thank you!

consistently excellent food & service. i've eaten at chef's palette many, many times, with it quickly having become my absolute favorite. the service is excellent and the food extraordinary, meaning not only is it very tasty, but also different than what you find everywhere.

in addition to the restaurant, i've eaten at the bar several times, with the food there being just as good, although understandably more "bar like." still, you can get excellent fish tacos, crabcakes, and such, if you're not in the mood for a burger, fried foods or wings.

the atmosphere is also unparalleled. it manages to host a casual yet upscale feeling, enabling you to enjoy an elegant night out without overdone pretentiousness.

outdoor patio is fantastic all year round, with comfortable seating and heaters in the winter.

one of the things i love the most? consistency. i've probably eaten there at least 8-10 times for dinner, 15-20 times in the bar, had 2 parties there, and once hired them for in-home catering. each and every time, the food, quality, and service were equally as extraordinary.

not so great.. small plates, high dollars.

high priced drinks. i like the atmosphere at chef's palette but each time i go, i get upset at being charged high prices in the bar. $10.50 for a pinnacle vodka drink is crazy. i asked for a citron and tonic and got a pinnacle citrus for $10.50 instead. i don't mind paying more for top shelf drinks, but pinnacle is not top shelf. my husband ordered a martini and the glass was barely half full. we asked about it and they said this was the normal pour. i think the only thing to drink there is beer because for the liquor drinks you pay way too much. they need to check out the competition and see what is the going rate around here because they are charging too much for poor quality!! each time i go, i think i will not go back but i keep trying and keep getting disappointed.

such a great atmosphere. wonderful art on display. good place to go on a date and excellent food.

we won't be back.. we tried chef's palette again for the second time and it will be our last. first, the average price of all dinner menu items is $25 per entree- not the $15 to $25 listed in urban spoon. second, their decorating scheme includes artwork that is for sale, and needless to say, it's been there a while. the drinks arrived 2/3 full with an excuse that they have changed their barware. doesn't make a good first impression. the scallop risotto was bland. the chicken francese arrived with plating that attempted to mimic a high end restaurant but failed miserably. it seemed to be missing the seasonal vegetables. chef's palette is a pretender trying to be a purveyor of good food. they only succeed in high prices. everything else is lacking.

late review. my bf and i came here for my 24th birthday. it's a little deceiving from the exterior, but the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food is delicious. the menus have to be the coolest thing about this place: they light up! (see pictures) the service is amazing, as well. when my bf's steak was overcooked, the chef actually brought the steak back out to him to insure it was prepared just the way he wanted it. upon discovering that this was our first time here, the owner of chef's palette actually came and sat with us for a while, telling us about how she got started and what her future plans were for the restaurant. overall it was a wonderful night and birthday. can't wait to go back!

a must!. as a decade restauranteur/employee, i cannot say enough about this place. the food, service and ambiance are right on par. i've only been in the bar/lounge/patio area, but have ordered from both menus- and have not had a thing i would criticize. our first visit the owner and chef stopped by our table to welcome us - it was a great highlight to the night and since we've put it on rotation. live music and welcoming atmosphere were great, but the food outshines. i rave about few places, but this is definitely one if them!

excellent for dinner...or just drinks and bar food!. i have now been to chef's palatte four times and cannot rave enough about the place! three times for dinner: the food was outrageous. each time everyone at my table (up to nine folks one night) had different entrees and totally agreed that the food was delicious. beautiful presentations, meats done to perfection, everything interesting and deliciously seasoned.

had just drinks with friends one evening at "trivia" night, a regular weekly fun night, in the bar area. what fun! the guy who was emceeing, matthew, was charming and funny. and there is a prize for the winner! the bar ambience is that of a neighborhood bar, a great place to meet friends and relax.
