wow...different. ok, first adjust your eyes upon entering...could be hazardous to your health. very dark inside, chose to eat out on the patio which is in the back so you have to work your way throught the dark to get there but the waitress was kind enough to help. mind you that you have to go back through upon leaving as well.
like the patio, someone was cleaning the tables and chairs while we were there for lunch....when i say cleaning i mean stripping them and cleaning. probably should/could have been done earlier or later to avoid the lunch customers. my guest and i ordered the turkey burgers, note to tell them everything you want on it or you will just get the burger on a bun. sides are enough to share so if you go with someone you can share a side with them. all in all it was good, different and ok. probably won't be back, wasn't that impressed to return. can get a good turkey burger at other places.

very dark inside, no windows, but once your eyes adjust, you'll be ready for the great food. had the carribean jerk chicken and patty melt. perfect. will definitely return.

great atmosphere. this place has an awesome feel to it. when i've got the blues so bad i can't hardly stand, po' lightnin just goes in and lays on the couch with his bottle and fries.

best hole-in-the-wall hang out in lex. dark, old couches, old books, but perfect for talking and laughing with friends over drinks. beer cheese dish is great. hot ham and cheese is my fave. fries are awesome. real cherry cokes. love cb's.

classic date night in winter. this is where i arranged to meet my now husband on our first blind date. that was 2004 and we still love going there. i always get the montes chicken with salad and the best blue cheese dressing i have ever had. i also love the white russian s. i want to go right now

i've been going to cb's since college. fantastic mix of people, great atmosphere & good food at reasonable prices. great date night spot or carry out for lunch. if you haven't tried it, you are missing out.

pretty good. they make a pretty decent burger. it can get a little busy on the weekends though.

very nice. everytime i have visited this place i always have a good experience. although sometimes the waiters can be a bit annoying, coming up every 5min. it's very cozy and their food is decent for it being pub food.

a staple of the chevy chase area. a lot of people have mentioned it before and it's true, probably the coolest hangout eatery in lexington. the couches, the dim lighting, the books covering the walls, it's original and no one else will ever duplicate this place.

now let's talk about their food. it has it's hits and misses but if you stick to the greasy foods you'll be pleased. the biggest hits for me: the caribbean jerk chicken sandwich and the southwest burger. their best i think comes from their appetizer menu; the hot pepper cheese. fried jalapeno cheese bites that come with ranch and salsa. all i can say is they are delicious and a must try.

they also have a solid happy hour with $2.25 domestics, and $10 carafe mixtures. the pricing on their food is reasonable for a local establishment. overall it's charlie brown's ambiance that shines more than anything else. it's worth a visit if your around the chevy chase neighborhood.

love it.. i think this place is kind of romantic. it was snowing outside when my friend boy and i came in....we ordered some pie and beer and cuddled on a couch next to the fire place while looking at some books in the dimly lit bar. freakin' a+ for the atmosphere.
the food is just okay bar food. not the best beer selection. usually, this is a deal breaker for me but the atmosphere is what keeps me coming back.

atmosphere has made cb's what it is today. what charlie brown's is:
dimly lit
a fun place you can forgo a table to sit on a couch or a nicely heated patio
inexpensive
a great place for cheap dates or hanging out with friends
a place to hear a good classic rock jukebox
a lexington institution

what charlie brown's is not:
the place you'll have the best sandwich in your life.
a place you'll find consistent service. i always seem to see new servers there. i've had really bad servers a couple times there, but generally the service is good.
a place to eat healthy or vegetarian

special place. my wife and i went on our first date here so it holds a special place in my heart. it is a dark, candle light bar, with a few sandwiches and specials. the food is pretty average, although i love the blackened tuna steak sandwich. good prices.

dark and cozy. it's all about atmosphere. the food is typical pub food, but it's tastey. think james taylor, and van morrison.
