chang thai & asian cuisine

best thai in central ar!. best thai restaurant in central arkansas! i’ve eaten thai food for 20+ years; been to several thai restaurants. the food at chang's is fresh and authentic. some of my favs at chang’s are the red curry, panang curry, pad prik, pad thai, yum talay, and the pad kaprow, and so much more. please don’t let the faded carpet keep you from visiting this diamond in the rough. you will not regret it!! the staff is friendly and very informative if you are not familiar with thai food.

curry not very spicy or flavorful. thai basil pretty good. however, they need to clean everything. gross !! d not sure i can go back !

liked the food but. it was a very dirty place.

marginal at best. having grown up out of state i miss the variety of restaurants that los angles has. when i tried the bangkok thai (in the river market) in the river market i was so happy to have thai again. then when i found chang thai, located only a mile from my home, i was thrilled. i was looking forward to trying this restaurant so much i went twice, in order to give it another shot after a disappointing first visit. unfortunately i was disappointed both time. while i did think the food was marginal, the quantity and quality is lacking. i felt that it seemed like the food was made using only the cheapest ingredients, and there was more rice than anything. while the service was fine, i don't plan on eating here again. like i have read elsewhere in reviews of this place, it dose remind me of a cheap chinese restaurant.

this place has definitely gone down hill. use to be great. whole fish tasted as if cooked 5 days ago and re-heated. ingredients just don't taste fresh like they use to.

thank god we have thai. living in sherwood, there are hardly any places to eat besides commercialized chains. while the food can sometimes be out of stock, the food makes up for it when you can get it. the buffet is actually better than what everyone is making it out to be and the items are the same that they serve on the menu, but it's obvious they are trying to cater to the sad palates of the town. the sour beef salad, glass noodles, and the wonderful sesame balls are the best items out there. when ordering off the menu, keep in mind they are once again attempt to assuage the people in the town and you need to order spice level of 8 or 9 if you actually expect it to be spicy. the chefs have met all special requests that i have asked of them and an order of pad thai with squid and beef is always a great meal to get togo. i'm thankful someone has come in and offered us some thai taste so we don't have to travel all the way to little rock or jacksonville.

ridiculous. after reading rave reviews on here, i gathered my friends and drove to sherwood on a friday evening. we walked past the buffet but one glance over reminded me of a cheap chinese restaurant. the menus were full of wonderful dishes, so i tried to be creative and order the things that looked healthy and interesting. i kid you not...out of 6 items i requested, they were out of 5 of them. i tried to be patient but ended up demanding to see the owner. she giggled when i asked her to explain how a restaurant can run out of items on a friday night near the beginning of dinner service. by the way, she was sitting at the table in the corner with her infant child on her breast. they were even out of pad thai. i was dumbfounded and furious. haven't had this bad of a restaurant experience in years. as if you need a reason to avoid sherwood, ar...this is one for you.

i can not express how much i love this place! the food is fantastic and the people that work there are always friendly and helpful. my favorite is a cliché thai dish, chicken pai thai, and it wil make your mouth water from just the amazing aroma it puts off!
a lot of people complain about how poorly decorated it is, but that won't even be a second thought to someone once you taste the food! go try it!

enjoyed. ordered takeout to bring to my grandma and sister. was a bit worried since i've never had anything from them before. had egg roles, steamed gyoza, thai fried rice w/chicken, green curry, and pad kee mow. there was plenty on food and i was pleasantly surprised with quality of food. the gyoza was splendid to start off with, enjoyed them plain. was not sure what to expect with the pad kee mow but i liked it. it didn't jump out with flavor, they blended together wonderfully. the fried rice had the texture of being fried. you can't find that in too many places, no benihana but good enough. the star of the meal was the curry. the chicken was perfect with the bamboo and coconut milk was just perfect.
will be going back.

great tai food. don't let the aging carpet and buffet scare you. this food is very good and spiced to taste. i ordered from the menu and had the chicken pad tai and green curry with chicken. i have them spice it to 7 and i came out tasty. if you don't like it spicy just let them know, if you don't have any taste buds go all the way to 11. next time i am in sherwood i will be sure to hit up this hidden gem again.

ate there for the first time tonight. food was great. excellent service. maybe the best spring rolls and pad thai i've ever had. i will definitely go back!!!

we will have "menu only" for dinner on tue & wed ::::: dinner buffet on thu - sat ::::: sunday brunch buffet 11am-2pm and order of the menu until 4pm.. starting sep 1,2012. thank you ^..^

what has happened?? everything was so not tasty tonight on the buffet! where did all those great thai flavors go??? too bad...

big fish. we went to chang's the other night just to have the big fish! i do not even know the name of the dish...just told the server we wanted the 'big fish' because i had seen a couple eat this dish on a previous visit. it was a teeny tiny tad not big enough for me and #3, but we did share and had egg drop soup as well. maybe we will order two the next time we eat here. nice meal...great service. food is always delicious!

must try, great food. this is my favorite restaurant, we have tried both the menu and the buffet. the shrimp pad thai is my favorite dish and my husband loves the big fish (not sure of the thai name), also off the buffet the beef thai salad and the shrimp and vegetables are great. if you are unsure of what you want or how hot to get your food ask the server she is more than happy to give you some great advice. when we started eating there we knew nothing about thai food and she has helped us by explaining the menu and levels of spice. you don't have to worry about your drink ever being empty she will keep you in refills. great food, excellent service.

close your eyes!. really good thai food. meing kham is fantastic, pad thai is good. the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. however, their thai food could compete with the best i have had in portland, oregon; san francisco; so. california . they need a liquor license to be a serious restaurant. move this restaurant to west lr and you could not get in the door.
