i dream of chang..... i've traveled the country and had a lot of thai food in my day, and there's only one thairestaurantin all the world that holds my heart and that's bangkok 56 in harrisburg, pa. . . . but chang is quickly becoming my favorite place in arkansas.

the staff here is wonderful, the spring rolls, drunken noodles and green curry are my favorite favorite things on the menu, and the prices are so dang reasonable it's worth the 30 minute drive. there's just nothing like a burning plate of food that makes you sweat at the end of a long, hard day.

nowhere in little rock that compares. wonderful place.

this family friendlyrestaurantis among the best in the area. the chefs cook everything fresh and spice it to order. the service is always friendly. the prices are a little higher than one might expect at first but quality is not cheap.

nothing else this good in the area!. we have been searching for a decent asianrestaurantfor a while now here in the little rock area being we just moved here a year ago (without driving to little rock!) and i found this place via urban spoon and we do not regret it! we came from overseas (military) so i can say we've had a fair share of decent asian food from around the world, and whenever we want asian, we go here.
the china buffet and drive through place in jacksonville are both crap (i mean double triple crap) compared to this place. we tried each, and both were really dry and greasy. the buffet place food was always old. love chang thai & asian cuisine!!!

best thai in central ar!. best thairestaurantin central arkansas! i’ve eaten thai food for 20+ years; been to several thai restaurants. the food at chang's is fresh and authentic. some of my favs at chang’s are the red curry, panang curry, pad prik, pad thai, yum talay, and the pad kaprow, and so much more. please don’t let the faded carpet keep you from visiting this diamond in the rough. you will not regret it!! the staff is friendly and very informative if you are not familiar with thai food.

marginal at best. having grown up out of state i miss the variety of restaurants that los angles has. when i tried the bangkok thai (in the river market) in the river market i was so happy to have thai again. then when i found chang thai, located only a mile from my home, i was thrilled. i was looking forward to trying thisrestaurantso much i went twice, in order to give it another shot after a disappointing first visit. unfortunately i was disappointed both time. while i did think the food was marginal, the quantity and quality is lacking. i felt that it seemed like the food was made using only the cheapest ingredients, and there was more rice than anything. while the service was fine, i don't plan on eating here again. like i have read elsewhere in reviews of this place, it dose remind me of a cheap chinese restaurant.

ridiculous. after reading rave reviews on here, i gathered my friends and drove to sherwood on a friday evening. we walked past the buffet but one glance over reminded me of a cheap chinese restaurant. the menus were full of wonderful dishes, so i tried to be creative and order the things that looked healthy and interesting. i kid you not...out of 6 items i requested, they were out of 5 of them. i tried to be patient but ended up demanding to see the owner. she giggled when i asked her to explain how arestaurantcan run out of items on a friday night near the beginning of dinner service. by the way, she was sitting at the table in the corner with her infant child on her breast. they were even out of pad thai. i was dumbfounded and furious. haven't had this bad of arestaurantexperience in years. as if you need a reason to avoid sherwood, ar...this is one for you.

close your eyes!. really good thai food. meing kham is fantastic, pad thai is good. the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. however, their thai food could compete with the best i have had in portland, oregon; san francisco; so. california . they need a liquor license to be a serious restaurant. move thisrestaurantto west lr and you could not get in the door.

best thai in central arkansas. for years i've lamented the lack of a good thairestaurantin little rock. if i wanted a thai fix, i'd have to go to jacksonville...not anymore! not only is chang thai closer to lr, it's better than the place i used to go in jacksonville!

three members of our party had the buffet, and two of us ordered off the menu (but we ordered a lot so we could share with the others and have leftovers to take home). my not-so-fond-of-thai-food husband said the buffet was actually pretty good. i took a look at it, and it actually did feature thai food (as opposed to some places that serve thai off the menu, but chinese on the buffet).

off the menu, we ordered the pla sam rod, which is a whole fried talapia, covered in a sweet and spicy sauce. it was crispy, with a flaky, moist interior, and the sauce was just the right combination of spicy and sweet. we also ordered the egg wrap pad thai with prawns, and it was your standard (but tasty!) pad thai presented in an omelet shaped into a bowl - beautiful presentation! next was the green curry chicken, and it was some of the best i've ever had. succulent pieces of white meat chicken with vegetables in coconut milk. finally, there was the tom-kha, which is a coconut milk soup with lime. we got it with tofu. i only got a spoon full of it, but what i had was great!

for every dish, they ask you how spicy you want it on a scale of 1-10. our group happened to really like spicy food, so we ordered almost everything 5 or above. the waitress asked if we were really sure, and we told her to bring on the spice! but if spice bothers you, go for a lower number.

service was good, but they did run out of tea while we were there. how do you manage that?

the only thing that would make me happier is if they opened a little rock location!
