made a booking and also had a voucher, the initial welcome was nice however that's when the service started to go downhill, from the very start we felt rushed to order with my partner not even having time to look at the menu properly. when asking the waitress questions she seemed very unsure of the answers, seemed like she had little menu knowledge. at one point we asked if we could smoke at our table which she said yes to only to be minutes later being told by another employee that it was non smoking till 9pm. along with that i asked for no onions with my meal and queried as to whether i could have something else as substitute, she wasn't able to give me an answer. our starters were quite nice but not meal checked once. our mains were very very average my partner had lamb which was not hot and tough to eat. my steak was cooked well but again quite cold with the vegetables being hotter, and when asked if i was given the right sauce the waitress was unable to tell me. our desserts were average. she then proceeded to take food from the table that we were still nibbling on. overall, average food with less than average service.
