we ordered a list of food. the waiter was memorising but she didn't recheck the order at the end. we double checked coz we weren't confident she was certain and found that two orders were mixed up. we waited about an hour for the food to come out. corn chips and sour cream we ordered that was $9 was literally just that. probably doritos from the supermarket. spaghetti tasted like it was from a can and lasagne was soggy. it wasn't worth the 1 hour wait, that's for sure.

i went to the chancery bistro on friday for dinner , and ordered a fish of the day. the food is delicious. i really enjoyed.
would recommend to my friend.

came in for lunch today. ordered a chicken fettuccine and duck risotto. the duck was real tender and the risotto was super creamy. however the fettuccine on the other hand, tasted quite bland. the chicken inside had a bit of flavour. the portion sizes were huge and it only cost us $15 per pasta. customer service was great and environment was real nice. they have a heater by the door so i would recommend sitting there.

bought a coupon from grabone and food tasted good however the portions were very small defiantly would never pay full price to eat there. the shisha is good however it takes to long for them to make even if they aren’t busy.

have been to this place about 4 times now, out of 4 times - 3 times the food was terrible. never ever i will be back here again.

1. paella risotto - uneatable, fish smelt so fishy my friend could smell it from where she was sitting, it tasted absolutely wrong, squid barely looked, had a bit of one - didn't touch the other, prawns on the very very edge of under cooked. i had about half of the rice and avoided all the seafood and i am sitting in the office now with upset stomach. avoid at all cost. any word to chef about it - complete denial of any wrong doing.

2. on another occasion my friend ordered lamb shank, which look fairly nice but had a weird pink sauce on it and as i wasn't having it, i did not think much of it - until my friend said - i think this is ice cream. and i thought no way, this could be ice cream on lamb shank, until i tried it - and it was! melted strawberry ice cream on lamb shank!!!!!! brought it up to waiter's attention, who brought it up to chef - the response we have got, no of course it's not ice cream it is beetroot yogurt. ah yeah, right. and sorry, was this "beetroot yogurt" on the list of ingredients for lamb shank?! i had to ask the waiter about 3 times until he admitted it was not, and it was a mistake!!! seriously what the actual f**k this is? who lets a plate out with spilled ice cream over the top and tries to cover this bs up by saying it's beetroot yogurt? sorry by my taste buds are not in my @ss to not be able to distinguish strawberry from beetroot.

3. this was my second visit here, ordered an avocado mash toast with egg with something like beetroot hummus if i remember correctly, it tasted really odd to me but i was hungry and short on time, so i finished it. literally half an hour later - the worst upset stomach ever!

if this is not enough for you to never even look their way - then i don't know what is. go ahead - get poisoned.

if you want a decent meal don't eat here... first of all... the pizza base was frozen, second the pizza was not what was advertised as in the sauces used.. second the seafood was like it come from a packet... tasted off... the service was good... but she forgot the side plates.. small details i know... but.. you expect a little more from a place like this... we also had the anti pasto meal.. it was ok.. the best of the worst..... i am giving it a 2 because.. i think there is room for improvement and with some improvement they could be better.. i didn't finish the pizza...

chancery bistro is a place i don't feel comfortable to stay at & won't like to revisit. maybe we were too early for a brunch, but it opens every day at 7 or 8 & we were there at 10:45 - everything didn't seem to be ready & the wait staff was just doing cleaning up & preparing the tables. or was it the "monday blues"?  i had the bistro breakfast & my wife had the "bubble & squeak" - what we had was insignificant; both dishes looked rather unappetising. (my wife commented that her dish was just a mess.) a bit of green colour on the dishes would have at least lightened up a bit.

yummm food !!! loved the ambience ! the variety in the menu is just super ! have options for non eggeterian also.... would deff go there once again !!

came here for drinks on friday evening. my tom collins was pleasant enough but neither the waitress nor bartender knew what a standard negroni was and had to ask us what was in it and even after a detailed explanation what came out was really off in ratio and super bitter. we also ordered some bread and dip but by the time it came out we had already come to the conclusion that they had forgotten about it because of how long it had been and it wasn't even busy.

wouldn't come back here especially for the price they charge relative to the quality. service wasn't bad but just seemed to lack direction.

two things made this experience worth writing about.
1. aaron - great service, awesome follow up and all round great guy.
2. chicken pasta - great portion and absolutely delicious.

nothing else.

we went to chancery to just chill and chat with my friends one weekday afternoon and we stumble upon this place. we we're just planning to order some drinks and go another plave for food. but i was so hungry that time so i ordered the spring rolls and samosas.

as you can see from the picture, they serve hash brown and spring rolls instead, so my friend went inside to ask someone why are we served hash brown instead of samosas and she said that the chef just said to her that they run out of samosas.

i was so disappointed that they didnt even inform us about the change of food and just serve us what ever is available which is quite not professional enough. so i called the other waiter and ask again why because im really looking forward for some samoas that time.

overall the experience even the food is disappointing, and they are also understaff that's why we cant call anyone immediately 🖓🖓🖓

just came back from having lunch alone at the cafe, ordered schnapper burger with fries. i sat outside as its a nice day..here's what spoilt my lunch there. dirty table, lunch brought out with no salt n pepper or sauces for the fries, no cutlery...had to go find my own...couldn't find anyone to order aoli or tomato sauce. so just ate and left....wanted dessert but no one came over with a menu or to ask if my meal was nice. there are better places to have lunch.

came here with a friend for lunch. the service was okay as it was a quiet day. i ordered the old school lamb burger. it took them a while to serve the food, but when it came the lamb was rather warm than hot. the presentation was good which looked attractive. however, the onion ring had too much mixture and coating which didn't end up having a nice texture. the sauce was okay, a little sour, and the lettuce was just too little. overall the flavour wasn't what i would expect from a decent looking restaurant. staff was friendly though.

good floor staff but i should have eaten before i went, had a three course, meager portions.....really tiny and most of it was the accompaniments, and not the best either, main course was the pork belly with the tiniest chunk of pb and a beetroot cut in half which was bigger than the pork! the entire meal was dreadful. would i go here again, probably never.

we ordered the smoked chicken pasta, the kumara gnocchi and the seafood chowder. both came out served with the same sauce... tastes familiar... oh, its butter chicken! the chowder didn't come out for another 30 mins.. by then we'd finished our curries. servers seemed like they didn't know what was going on. never again.
