ok frankie, one bite - everyone knows the rules. i give this pizza a 7.2 outta 10. placed a takeout order for a margherita pizza around lunchtime. when i arrived the pizza was ready and smelled amazing. yes, i waited until i arrived home to taste the pizza. thin and light (pizza classica di napoletana), sauce was smooth & tangy and the mozzarella flavorful. would have given a slightly higher score but the bottom of thecrustedge was slightly burnt. looking forward to going back for a sit down dinner and some wine. looks like a cool place.

cavalli's is italian style pizza. it's wood fired and thecrustdoes sometimes get burned in places. it's delicious. the ingredients are top of the line italian meats and cheeses. it's not sludgy chicago style pizza. it's not new york. it's not stuffedcrustpizza. it's not a $5 pizza. now if that's what you are looking for please keep moving because we need your place in line!

best restaurant in mckinney!. this is by far the absolute best restaurant in mckinney. my partner and i have dinner her at least once a week. their pizzas really do rival the pizzas we've had in italy. this is no pizza hut or palio's. this is authentic italian pizza. thecrustis not perfect and the burned portions on the crusts are part of the beauty. i personally love the mckinney or the dallas pizza but you can't go wrong with the margarita pizza and add your favorite toppings such as jalapenos, goat cheese or roasted cherry tomatoes. start with a something from the toppa's menu such as the jalapeno artichoke dip. enjoy the dip with a cocktail while you study the menu. side note - cocktails are very good here and they will make you anything you'd like. we love the patron margaritas. once you place your order for the pizza its usually at your table within 6-7 minutes so take your time and enjoy. the restaurant does have a neighborhood feel and the staff is really attentive however, they can be spread a bit too thin on a saturday night. the ambiance is casual with small tables somewhat crowded into a small room which gives it a real big-city feel. the patio is perfect if the weather is nice, especially when they have live music. be prepared to wait. its worth it!

great people, burnt horrible pizza!. this place had the look, the feel, the people. however, that is not what you go to eat for! came here for the pizza, got pizza that tatsted like it was caught in a house fire, black bottom, smokey taste. smoke is for bar b que, not pizza! tried finding even one square inch where the bottom of thecrustdid not have black on it, to see how the pizza would tatste if it were not burnt. i could not find any without burn. kids did not eat it, the family thought that even the low quality cheap pizza patron was better! sorry to say this about nice people, but you need to redo your burnt pizza recipe, or something. you may be making enought money to pay your bills, but there are many, many people who will feel ripped off, just like us, for spending money on a burnt pizza! at least ask if we want a burnt, or non-burnt option!

not very impressed with this place. the outside is inviting and rustic, service was friendly...but the pizza, not so good. thecrusttasted a bit too burnt and the pizza seemed almost...soggy is the best word i can think of. the salad was ok, could have used some more dressing. there are plenty of other restaurants in the area i would choose over this place for a good pizza. despite the good service and location, because of the pizza i would probably not go back anytime in the near future.

extraordinary. well i'm not sure what other people look for when they go out for pizza, but my wife and i look for crust. pizza is all about the crust. after that it is the quality of the minimal toppings you put on the pizza. if you are looking for a dominos double cheese, double sauce, 3x pepperoni this is not the place for you. if you, on the other hand are looking for some of the best authentic italian pizza that you can get in the metroplex, then this is one of two places that has it. thecrustwas perfect, made from 00 flour, aged for days, cooked for 90 seconds, with san marzano tomatos, a fresh mozarella. what more can i say. the pizza passes the flop test with ease, unlike another vpn place in deep ellum where the even minimalistic toppings end up on the plate. i can't say enough about this place. if you want the real thing, this is the place to go. if you are looking for something other than great pizza, leave the place for me.

poorly prepared wet sloppy pizza created in a wood oven. why is it so hard to make a simple pizza in this town. dominos thoncrustis 3x's as good at half the price. this place is just another poser, save your money.
