ok frankie, one bite - everyone knows the rules. i give this pizza a 7.2 outta 10. placed a takeout order for a margherita pizza around lunchtime. when i arrived the pizza was ready and smelled amazing. yes, i waited until i arrived home to taste the pizza. thin and light (pizza classica di napoletana), sauce was smooth & tangy and the mozzarella flavorful. would have given a slightly higher score but the bottom of the crust edge was slightly burnt. looking forward to goingbackfor a sit down dinner and some wine. looks like a cool place.

we placed a take out order for two pizzas and an order of caprese. after getting itbackhome we opened the boxes and the cheese had slid off of the crust. i have eaten at several brick oven pizzerias, including the original in ny. this is not something that is supposed to happen if the product is cooked correctly. then we looked into the caprese. the tomatoes were not ripe and poorly cut, fat on one side and tapered off to a thin point on the other. and that was it, no balsamic drizzle no basil just some tomatoe slices and mozzarella. but the kicker is that cost $42 for one small one large pizza and the salad. we decided to give them another try so after a children's performance we called them to reserve some tables for a large group, 16. they told us we could have thebackroom for $1500!!!! are you serious?!?! done with this place.

very overpriced. a family of four with no appitizer or dessert and tea as a beverage is close to $60 with tip. this is a pizza place not a steakhouse. good food but not that good. sorry won't bebackand we just moved here and live less than 2 miles away so we were really hoping for a once a week spot to relax at.

i find cavalli's to be consistent in quality and service. greatbackpatio, too. love the irving salad and marg pizza. we've also used them to cater a large party. their mobile pizza oven was a huge hit.

not very impressed with this place. the outside is inviting and rustic, service was friendly...but the pizza, not so good. the crust tasted a bit too burnt and the pizza seemed almost...soggy is the best word i can think of. the salad was ok, could have used some more dressing. there are plenty of other restaurants in the area i would choose over this place for a good pizza. despite the good service and location, because of the pizza i would probably not gobackanytime in the near future.

tried it for the first time the other night, we ordered a pizza and a couple salads to go. was told it would be ready in 20 minutes, i was there in 15 and the food was ready. i live no more than 10 minutes and when i got home, the pizza was stone cold. i could tell immediately this pizza had not just come out of the oven. i never like to complain but i felt a call was necessary just to express my disappointment. the girl who answere the phone asked who was calling when i asked to speak to a manager, i thought this was odd as how would they know who i am anyway so i just said "a cusomer.". i then spent the time i was waiting to speak to the manager listening to her mock my answer to several people around (next time maybe put the call on hold if you are going to make fun of your customers). the manager then got on the phone and after a brief discussion i was essentially told i was wrong, that the pizza was fresh and i could comebackup if i like for a new pizza but "we can't guarantee it will be hot when you get home.". i was not asking for any handouts, simply thought they would like to know that a first time local customer was a little disappointed in what they received but they didn't seem concerned in the least. needless to say, i don't think we will be back. it's a shame too because once we reheated the pizza it was excellent. too bad the staff is so unappreciative of their guests.
