ok frankie, one bite - everyone knows the rules. i give this pizza a 7.2 outta 10. placed a takeout order for a margherita pizza around lunchtime. when i arrived the pizza was ready and smelled amazing. yes, i waited until i arrived home to taste the pizza. thin and light (pizza classica di napoletana), sauce was smooth & tangy and the mozzarella flavorful. would have given a slightly higher score but the bottom of the crust edge was slightly burnt. looking forward to going back for a sit down dinner and some wine. looks like a cool place.

cute, yet pricey, neighborhood pizza spot. we got there early to beat the saturday night crowd, so were seated immediately. shared a yuuuuge salad. had the artichoke and jalapeño dip, which was excellent, and chowed on a couple of pizzas - also good. a decent meal with excellent service.

overall, we enjoyed. take the risk and give it a shot.

we placed a take out order for two pizzas and an order of caprese. after getting it back home we opened the boxes and the cheese had slid off of the crust. i have eaten at several brick oven pizzerias, including the original in ny. this is not something that is supposed to happen if the product is cooked correctly. then we looked into the caprese. the tomatoes were not ripe and poorly cut, fat on one side and tapered off to a thin point on the other. and that was it, no balsamic drizzle no basil just some tomatoe slices and mozzarella. but the kicker is that cost $42 for one small one large pizza and the salad. we decided to give them another try so after a children's performance we called them to reserve some tables for a large group, 16. they told us we could have the back room for $1500!!!! are you serious?!?! done with this place.

very overpriced. a family of four with no appitizer or dessert and tea as a beverage is close to $60 with tip. this is a pizza place not a steakhouse. good food but not that good. sorry won't be back and we just moved here and live less than 2 miles away so we were really hoping for a once a week spot to relax at.

i enjoyed my second visit to cavalli pizza. the pizza is tasty and the service was very good as well. this restaurant also has a nice patio area in the back. the patio area has a view of adriatica village and would be a great place to dine on a pretty day. while this pizzeria is very good and probably my favorite in mckinney, i am not sure that i would put it in my top three collin county pizza joints. if you are in mckinney and want an authentic neapolitan pizza joint, you cannot go wrong by giving this place a try.

i find cavalli's to be consistent in quality and service. great back patio, too. love the irving salad and marg pizza. we've also used them to cater a large party. their mobile pizza oven was a huge hit.

cavalli's is italian style pizza. it's wood fired and the crust does sometimes get burned in places. it's delicious. the ingredients are top of the line italian meats and cheeses. it's not sludgy chicago style pizza. it's not new york. it's not stuffed crust pizza. it's not a $5 pizza. now if that's what you are looking for please keep moving because we need your place in line!

good food. average service. way too expensive for what you get. $23 for an individual pepperoni pizza, small dinner salad and a diet coke. 3 adults 2 kids get ready to spend over $100. for better food at much better value try gimaldis in allen tx

new general manager has made very disappointing changes. we've been coming to cavalli several times since they opened and have always loved it. however, the new general manager has reduced the amount of wine per glass to less than half of what was served before. truly felt like we were being ripped off.

best restaurant in mckinney!. this is by far the absolute best restaurant in mckinney. my partner and i have dinner her at least once a week. their pizzas really do rival the pizzas we've had in italy. this is no pizza hut or palio's. this is authentic italian pizza. the crust is not perfect and the burned portions on the crusts are part of the beauty. i personally love the mckinney or the dallas pizza but you can't go wrong with the margarita pizza and add your favorite toppings such as jalapenos, goat cheese or roasted cherry tomatoes. start with a something from the toppa's menu such as the jalapeno artichoke dip. enjoy the dip with a cocktail while you study the menu. side note - cocktails are very good here and they will make you anything you'd like. we love the patron margaritas. once you place your order for the pizza its usually at your table within 6-7 minutes so take your time and enjoy. the restaurant does have a neighborhood feel and the staff is really attentive however, they can be spread a bit too thin on a saturday night. the ambiance is casual with small tables somewhat crowded into a small room which gives it a real big-city feel. the patio is perfect if the weather is nice, especially when they have live music. be prepared to wait. its worth it!

after waiting 15 minutes, the waiter tells us they ran out of pizza dough. we drove all the way to mckinney to try the pizza. will stick with pizzeria testa in frisco.

authentic italian pizza that tastes like its supposed to. anyone that doesn't like it has taste buds that have been raised on what is unfortunately our poor excuse for "pizza". whoever thinks dominoes is better needs their frontal lobe checked. natural, fresh ingredients (specifically their mozzarella) will always win in my book.

great people, burnt horrible pizza!. this place had the look, the feel, the people. however, that is not what you go to eat for! came here for the pizza, got pizza that tatsted like it was caught in a house fire, black bottom, smokey taste. smoke is for bar b que, not pizza! tried finding even one square inch where the bottom of the crust did not have black on it, to see how the pizza would tatste if it were not burnt. i could not find any without burn. kids did not eat it, the family thought that even the low quality cheap pizza patron was better! sorry to say this about nice people, but you need to redo your burnt pizza recipe, or something. you may be making enought money to pay your bills, but there are many, many people who will feel ripped off, just like us, for spending money on a burnt pizza! at least ask if we want a burnt, or non-burnt option!

not very impressed with this place. the outside is inviting and rustic, service was friendly...but the pizza, not so good. the crust tasted a bit too burnt and the pizza seemed almost...soggy is the best word i can think of. the salad was ok, could have used some more dressing. there are plenty of other restaurants in the area i would choose over this place for a good pizza. despite the good service and location, because of the pizza i would probably not go back anytime in the near future.
