casa perico is our go-toplacefor mexican food(even though it's super far for us, it's well worth it!). we've never had a bad meal and everyone is super nice and courteous. their nachos are the best i've ever had.

the fajita nachos were spot on! fresh ingredients, and nice thick chips (almost tostada-like) which allowed for an excellent delivery system for the piled-high refried beans, pico de gallo, cheese, and little strips of lots of fajita meat. i think it was nachos de fajitas supreme, but don't hold me to it. and while the complimentary salsa and cheese sauce were lacking in balance and flavor (yuck!), the other salsas we asked for were very goooood, spicy, perfectly salted, etc. try the salsa verde or hot skillet of spicy salsa.

while i didn't try them, my friend got borracho beans and steamed corn inplaceof the obligatory refried beans and rice that so many places serve. grilled veggies was another option! that and the menudo on the menu was enough for me to want to come back and try more.

let's talk drink special - we had the mangonadas. while they were a little sweet for my taste, i think a lot of you would like them. like a frozen mango margarita, it was sweet, sour and spicy all in one. served with a tamarind stick (spicy!), it also had some chamoy (a red savory sauce swirled in, providing a sweet and sour aspect to this wonderfully fruity drink)

with quick and friendly service, i am always seated promptly, with little to no wait time. immediately after being sat, serversplacethe smoothest, tastiest queso you will ever eat, delicious salsa with fresh vegetables, and homemade tortilla chips in front of each guest. i use the word guest because at this homey restaurant, you are treated as more than a customer.
there seems to be a low-turnover rate for casa perico’s employees, with familiar faces greeting me almost every time i come in. it is evident that they care about each guest’s experience, as they provide quick and courteous service every day.
after receiving the set-up of chips, queso, and salsa, you are given the option of ordering tortillas to tide you over before your meal arrives. my family always opts for the mix of both corn and flour tortillas because both homemade choices are delicious in different ways.
casa perico offers traditional tex-mex favorites and more signature, authentic mexican entrees. the chile relleno platter has a perfect mix of spicy and savory flavors, while the carnitas de puerco is a local favorite. the chicken or cheese enchiladas are a go-to and the carne asada is a delicious option. after my main course, i can never refuse the fluffy and delicious complementary sopapillas.
to wash down the tasty entrees, casa perico offers a wide variety of premium beverages. the authentic mexican beers like tecate, dos equis, and negro modelo provided in frosted, salt-rimmed goblets are a nice compliment to your meal.
the mexican grill has been around for almost twenty years. mike and paula porter, the married owners, founded the business and have been running it ever since. they truly care about the quality of food and the satisfaction of their guests.
the porters strive to create a long-term clientele. many guests, including my family, have been regulars for the entire time that casa perico has been in business. this is due to the great quality of food and friendly service of employees.
i have been a loyal customer of casa perico since the time that i had to use a highchair. casa perico was my family’s weekly restaurant choice throughout my childhood. we even had the fajitas, enchiladas, chile rellenos, and rice and beans catered to my graduation party. they provided all the necessities to make serving a large group of people in my home as painless as possible, including heating racks, utensils, and platters. the food was definitely the hit of the party!
look out chain tex-mex restaurants! this mom and pop’s mexican diner is one to watch in oklahoma city.

this was great! we were looking for a quick dinner near st. john’s, and literally saw casa perico from across the street, and decided to try it. erin got a taco salad that she liked ok. raegan got chicken enchiladas. she ate 1.5 of the 2, and i had some of the rest; they were pretty darn good. i got puerco verde; pork in green chili sauce. outstanding! that stuff had a bit of spiciness, but flavor that was just wonderful. i asked our server, and he said it was essentially guisada. wonderful stuff. the queso and salsa was pretty good. service was excellent. the iced tea was really good. our check was $37.89. i look forward to going back, i think thisplacehas real potential.

service issues. thisplacehas been a longtime favorite of mine and my family's, but the last few visits have been not so good. the food is still pretty good, and the new menu looks nice and everything, but the service doesn't match up. service is often more important to me. may give them another chance.

un pequeño problema. i've raved about casa perico to my facebook friends and anyone who will listen and i've been a faithful customer.

but today i feel slightly cheated. i ordered tacos pioneros ($9.99 menu price) and was asked if i wanted chicken or beef. i said "beef." seems simple enough.

upon receiving my dish, i noticed the tacos were different, not the shredded, stewed beef i've had in the past, but chopped this time. i didn't think much of it until my check arrived and was much higher than expected. i was charged $11.49 for the tacos pioneros. my first reaction was not that i had been wronged, but that maybe the restaurant was raising prices and the menus were not yet reflecting the prices - innocent enough, i thought.

so when i asked if the menus were out of date, and pursued the issue with my server, i was told that i had ordered something extra. and when i expressed confusion and irritation, the response was sheepish smiling. excuse me, but are we pretending to have a language barrier in order to pad the customer's bill? i really hope not. because i know what i ordered. if you are going to charge more than the menu price, you need to communicate that to the customer and that will probably save you from reviews like this one.

it will be a while before i'm back guys.

yummy!. my husband and i have been here several times and have never been disappointed! the food is always so good and the service is friendly and professional! i love mexican food and thisplaceis at the top of my list! we try to eat at places that are not franchises and this is a goodplaceto start and stick with!

the best service ever!!!!!!!!. not only was the food delicious, quick and fresh, but the service was amazing, i ordered a beer and it came in a tall frozen goblet like glass with lime pulp and salt on the rim, best mexican beer!!!!!!!! i recommend the tacos and enchiladas, great greatplacewill go again and again!

my favorite mexican restaurant. the food is fresh, delishious, and not your typical, smothered in cheese and chili kind of place. first of all, they have a huge variety of food. fish tacos, shrimp coctail, a whole vegetarian menu, all sorts of meat dishes, and authentic mexican dishes. try the botanas as a beer snack (slices of avocado, papas rancheros, fried onions and jalapenos, and cheese), the fish tacos are perfect in the summer on the patio with a beer, and the flautas are out of this world! the frozen margaritas pack punch and the beer is always perfectly chilled. :) thisplaceis everything a mexican restaurant should be.

excellent mexican food. as far as traditional mexican food goes, this has to be the bestplacein town. everything is fresh, and the food is fantastic. their fajitas are some of the best i've ever had, and their casa perico special is awesome.
