a hesitant yes-the food tasted very fresh, very quant atmosphere, it the food was a bit bland. wife and i got mayan soup, the pepito sandwich and the mayan wrap. the soup was the best thing we had. if we come back (we won't) we'd order the soup and cubans-they looked great. close, but didn't stand out.

i love this place! the dining room is small just like being at a friends house. especially with the place also being tucked away from the main drag. the owners are lovely and the food is deliciously fresh. i will be sure to return when i am next in the area.

one of my favs in st. augustine. some of the freshest ingrediants around. try the fundito app. for lunch i had the shrimp tacos, which were perfect. if you're on a gluten free diet, you can request everything with a corn tortilla, instead of the flour like my kids.

only con is the restaurant size is quaint (maybe 5 tables)

love love love this place. i live in the area. hands down my favorite local restaurant. only seats maybe 20 people but the food is outstanding and well worth the wait. prices are typical for this type of establishment.

whole family loved this place!!. we stop in st augustine one a year while traveling south and happened upon this restaurant by accident. the food was delicious! we loved it! i have never had such sangria - made with organic fruit and good organic wine - it was great. while not a cheap meal, it was worth every cent! yum. we will be sure to stop there on our upcoming trip to florida.

good food, but a little pricy.. we enjoyed our dinner at casa maya. it is right off the main drag of st. george, and simple to find. they have about 4 tables outside and about another 10 inside. when they fill up expect to wait for tables and servers attention. we passed the time sipping on 2 of the hibiscus sangria's ($24 for carafe that serves 4). we are vegetarian and found enough items to order off of the menu, and were happy to learn that the soups were made with veg stock. if you eat meat and fish i think you will be a happy camper here as the most interesting menu items featured fish.

we did order a delicious salad that had tempeh as one of the options. the veggie empanadas were probably the highlight of the meal along with a cup of black-bean soup. we also tried the guacamole which other reviewers have raved about but found it to be pretty normal, if you are from the southwest or california you will not be that impressed. for dessert we had a slice of keylime-mango pie, it was a small piece but tasty.

overall it was a good meal, and a nice atmosphere, and as a vegetarian a good find. it seems like most of florida is eating their way through the little marinelife that is left in the adjacent oceans.

my only reservation about this place was the cost, our meal above (we shared all items, and had two glasses of the sangria @$7 each, not the carafe) came out to about $66 with a 15% tip. a little pricey for a shared veggie meal for two even when you subtract the $14 for 2 drinks. but if your budget is not a concern or you want to splurge on a good night out with your friends or sweetie, then casa maya and the friendly staff is a good choice.

cash & credit accepted, for you tequila lovers, no hard alcohol served.

worth seeking out. hidden off the main drag and a tiny dining room but this family run place is amazing. everything is fresh and well presented. the guacamole was some of the best i have had. we had five differnt dishes at our table and everyone raved abou their particular choice. outdo seating helps in good weather but br read to wait. don get discouraged the owners will take your cell number and call you when a table is open. a true find!

tucked away on one of st. augustine’s most picturesque streets, casa maya is a tiny mexican café that prides itself on offering fresh and healthy meals. my bright and colorful salad with avocado, mango, tomato, and fresh cheese was a perfect example of th

feel good eating here!. i took my family (incl. 3 kids) to casa for lunch on a thursday, and we all found something to enjoy, but the thing we all enjoyed was the freshness of the ingredients, and the care that goes into preparation.

so eating organic is good, and eating fresh is good, but eating locally-owned is the best; and you will know that feeling when you speak with the owner as he helps to explain what soursop is and stops by to see if you'd like more agua fresca. eat here.
