awesome place, really friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. the outside garden on a warm sunny day is just awesome, great atmosphere. theservicewas great, all orders came out quickly and really well presented, the food was nice and fresh and very tasty.

wild highly recommend stopping off on the way through the crown range, we will happily return.

great place with great history. didn't stay here a night so not sure about the stay. however the food was good. theservicea little slow due to the fact that it was busy.

ample of seating space inside and out. great place for kids to run around in the back yard. and beer was perfect.

i'm surprised there aren't more foodies or outgoers trying this place out. it looks like a old run down building from outdoors, but its great on the inside. it is one of the okdest buildings around - a must visit for anyone passing by!!

awesome food andserviceand a beautiful beer garden out back. don’t miss the opportunity to stop here for a snack on the way to wanaka. try the frickles!

went here on a busy saturday for some blue cod and chips and they didn't disappoint!
food and atmosphere was fantastic,serviceis pretty much what you'd expect in a pub/hotel but that didn't deter us.
would definitely come back again

after a busy morning on a quadbikng tour we stopped her after a recommendation from a tour guide. such a cool pub!! really interesting interior with a log fire, while outside was beautiful with a stretch of green lawn and trees.servicegreat, super busy for a sunday lunch. great food and really needed a wine after the thrill of nearly driving off the moutainside. food sizes were quite large, so great value for money. would definitely recommend stopping here on your way down to or up from queenstown.

best place to stop for a drink after a days skiing at cardrona! oozing with atmosphere and history, having been there since 1836.. everything is in character, with plenty of old cars, photos and paraphernalia around. there are three areas, the outside beer garden with open fire, the restaurant area and the original bar area. it was heaving with people when we arrived, so a bit of queueing to get our drinks. we were keen to eat but it seemed tableservicehadn't started at 5pm so it was a case of order at the bar. it was also a bit difficult to find a table since they all had reserved signs on them. we had the ploughman's platter which was top notch. all of the other food i saw going by looked great, so will have to try and come back some time!
