best place to stop for a drink after a days skiing at cardrona! oozing with atmosphere and history, having been there since 1836.. everything is in character, with plenty of old cars, photos and paraphernalia around. there are three areas, the outsidebeergarden with open fire, the restaurant area and the original bar area. it was heaving with people when we arrived, so a bit of queueing to get our drinks. we were keen to eat but it seemed table service hadn't started at 5pm so it was a case of order at the bar. it was also a bit difficult to find a table since they all had reserved signs on them. we had the ploughman's platter which was top notch. all of the other food i saw going by looked great, so will have to try and come back some time!
