captain scott's lobster dock

this is a excellent place for a fastseafoodbite! i requested the lobster roll, which was wet, tender, juicy, warm and buttery. and you can't go incorrect with a side of french fries - completely crisp and fresh. a gem of new london for certain. one can enjoy the food expertise that much more while ignoring the docks, sailboats and crisp-blue waters. i extremely recommend it!

get your greasyseafoodhere. this is the place for fried seafood. my parents used to be caretakers at crocker's, right across the cove. it suffered a little perhaps 7 or 8 years ago when it changed hands, but seems to be back to the usual grade a fried seafood. enjoy!

update: got the chance to go through new london and stop here again. in addition to a full lobster dinner for $18.95 and great chowder, we found that captain scott's has a fish market and we were able to bring home some beautiful scallops and oysters. heaven!

several years ago, while leading a group of american and japanese teenagers around the country, i asked the local hotelier to recommend an authenticseafoodplace on the water. she and a council of three other employees said that, hands down, it had to be captain scott's lobster dock.

this is the real deal. place your order at the window and, when called, take it to one of the many picnic tables. dynamite fresh lobster, wonderful chowder...and affordable.

when i'm in this neck of the woods, stopping here is a must.

fantasticseafoodin a casual setting by the water. you walk up and order from the menu, then sit at picnic tables right by the docks. we had clams, fritters, fish and shrimp - all delicious. we came on saturday evening and found no trouble getting a table. no alcohol is served but we saw several folks with coolers. they do serve ice cream also. we will be back for another visit!

great place. love the freshseafoodand the atmosphere. i had 4 lobster rolls, 2 scallop rolls, a bowl of lobster bisque and a cheesburger one night. loved it.

if you like eating friedseafoodon picnic tables right next to the boat docks --this is the place for you. pretty good selection and fairly inexpensive. due to crowds and a slow kitchen, you should plan for some time to get your order in and then subsequently get your food. the food was a little too greasy for me but the rest of our group enjoyed it. by the way -- if you want beer or wine -- bring your own.
