perfect on a nice day. we were surprised by the long line at 11 a.m. on a weekday but the lobster rolls were worth it. i love the picnic tables for an outdoor meal on a beautiful day. the salad was surprisingly fresh and perfect for our vegan guests. the only thing we did not enjoy was the clam fritters. they were mostly breading with no distinct pieces or even much flavor of clams. we will go back, but skip the fritters next time.

this dock is an amazing place to have seafood. the lobster roll here doesn't disappoint. fish--chips was fresh too as like the lobsters.
be ready for long queues. there's ample seating in the open. not suitable for winter though. but you'll have a great time with your people at this place.

this is a excellent place for a fast seafood bite! i requested the lobster roll, which was wet, tender, juicy, warm and buttery. and you can't go incorrect with a side of french fries - completely crisp and fresh. a gem of new london for certain. one can enjoy the food expertise that much more while ignoring the docks, sailboats and crisp-blue waters. i extremely recommend it!

nice spot right on the water, tried the hot lobster roll and the lobster bisque, both were excellent and very fresh. the only real neg comment would be the lobster roll, the bun used is like eating a sponge and is a contrast to the quality of the lobster, a better quality bun would be a easy improvement.

if you are looking for a casual place with great seafood, this is it. it's not fancy but the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is fun. this is an outdoor place and byob so pack your chardonnay and sweater because it's fun. the lines can get long but don't despair, they work through th quicker than you'd imagine. you order at one window and pick up at the other. grab a spot on the rail or picnic table and you'll meet interesting people. the train runs through and you can see the envy in the amtrak passenger faces as you dig into your lobster roll. lobster rolls are in two sizes and type; cold (new england with mayo) or my fav warm (ct style with warm butter). a large is only $16.95 and generously portioned. a little hard to find, it's just off hamilton near the yacht dealers and marinas.

great location right on the waterfront. seems a little pricey for the quality of the food and considering it is counter service. i had the ri clam chowder which was delicious and a garden salad also good except for the dressing, i asked for blue cheese, it came in a pouch and was quite watery. i also ordered the steamers which i was disappointed in, lots of sand and a few bits of broken shell made them really hard to enjoy.

i got the connecticut speciality hot lobster roll and the rhode island specialty rhode island clam chowder. the connecticut hot lobster roll is simply a whole small lobster chopped and piled onto a hot dog bun with butter. there is no old bay, not salt, no pepper, no nothing, just pure lobster and butter, and this simplicity is the perfect way to eat lobster. this is so dang good. i really will never eat another cold mayo lobster roll ever again. i am a total connecticut hot lobster roll convert. i also liked the rhode island clam chowder as it was a nice light broth based soup. i still like the new england clam chowder better, but sometimes i am not in the mood for a heavy cream based soup like new england clam.

officially love lobster. i am from tx and wanted an authentic sea food experience visiting ct, and this place gave it to me. the staff was friendly and helped us choose some yummy dinner choices. the clam chowder was amazing and the lobster roll was out of this world. the atmosphere is very relaxed and neat to see all the docked boats in the harbor. they totally made my trip to ct memorable.

the meat is fresh picked, never been frozen, they don’t pick it themselves, but they get it fresh picked from a place nearby, according to the gal at the counter. there is tail and claw meat, nicely cooked, tender, tasty and the butter manages to coat the meat, not be too hot and drip off onto the bread. the bread is a standard wonder type bun, i would rather they went with a more bakery fresh one, but it is good, nicely grilled and somewhat larger than the usual bun.
