came here after church with my wife and a friend. it's always nice to find a restaurant that is open early on sundays. restaurant was super quiet when we arrived, we were greeted promptly and given a choice of table to sit at. we noticed a very extensive tea selection written right on the wall along with several specials.
wife ordered the spicy seafood pasta and i ordered the hamburger egg skillet. i found the combinations really interesting. myskillethad a side of stir fried shanghai thick noodle, rice, french fries, kimchi and a hamburger steak. it was a kaleidoscope of chinese, korean and western flavours. it all tasted alright, but something about it threw me off. i have to say the same for my wife's pasta. it was actually pasta in a spicy korean haemul jigae broth. alone, the broth was very flavourful, but something about having it with spaghetti is once again somewhat odd. soup is simply too runny to coat spaghetti. the pasta was bland while eating and after eating the pasta, you're left with a very intense broth that is almost too intense on its own.
my wife and i will definitely come back for tea and dessert as well as come back for something not quite so exotic. i do believe the food is good, and will give them another try.
