cafe haven

atmosphere was nice, lots of fun stuff to look at. had a cinnamon bun which needed to be in the over a few minutes longer, really doughy....didn’t enjoy. my americano was really weak and watery....wont be going back.

very disappointed with cafe haven. roast potatoes tasted like rubber. toast was dry and cold. very poor choice of food for children. cheap plastic cups instead of glasses. some of the staff were friendly and some were rude. will not be back😞.

nice little cafe. their food is healthy and wholesome and they have a good selection of coffee drinks and teas. their parmesan edemame beans are to die for.

i have been dining in and taking out from cafe haven over the past 4 years. i live and work in the neighbourhood. the atmosphere is great with the artwork for sale and the homemade goods. unfortunately, this can and has lost its shine for me in the past but lately cafe haven has been redeeming itself with great service! twice i have been in for a coffee and a to-go breakfast and twice i have left with a smile on my face. bravo on your current staff, cafe haven. i wish i had asked their names but perhaps the staff can be congratulated based on the days i have been in: today, august 30 and last week on august 24. i think i will be taking a few early lunch breaks this fall to sit in and enjoy the cafe more thoroughly. otherwise, i will be sure to spend the extra 50 cents on my morning coffee for the great service and interaction.

cozy, warm cafe with good fogs and decent food. nice place to sip on some warm drinks and relax. food and drinks were good. they make their own vanilla syrup for their drinks in-house which was nice. one thing i did not like (note: this is one of my pet peeves) is how the place is not vented efficiently and your clothes & hair have a strong food smell stuck on them once you leave the place. other than that, it's a cute cozy cafe you can visit in the sherwood park area

local coffee shop. stopped for coffee and breakfast. was hoping for a fruit and eggs option to go. no luck. so an almond rhubarb muffin will have to do. unfortunately all the almonds are on top and not one piece of rhubarb inside. staff are friendly and attentive while pre cooking eggs for eggs benedict ( not sure if that is a good idea) seating area is worn with mismatched furniture with the old bank vault still in tacked with a table for eight inside.

finally got an opporunity to scratch this place off my list.
stopped in with my kids for brunch on sunday.
not too shabby.
kids had bagels and i had to give the eggs benedict a shot. decided on the salmon incarnation.
flavor was great...but something in the dish seemed to chill the entie thing down. perhaps this was by design. i am not entirely sure. chilled salmon on warm english muffin with cooked eggs? regardless i wasn't expecting it and gave the whole thing a feeling of egg/sushi-fusion. the accompanying hash browns were tastey.
we also indulged in a brownie and a huge chunk of my personal kryptonite..beanut butter-marshmallow square. both were indeed good.
all in all...not bad. not amazing.
the hipster feeling and missmatch of furniture including couches and armchairs is allright i suppose.
all told, my main, 2 bagels, a coffee, a hot chocolate and the 2 desserts came to ~$45. a little pricey, but not terrible.
i may just be back if my schedule and theirs align again. if only for a "healthy" dose of kryptonite...

great coffee, and desserts in a lovely environment. recommend checking it out when they have live music. great place to meet a friend for a coffee if you want something different than the basic starbucks experience.

i have never had a worse experience. 

the place was packed and we couldn't get a table, so the cashier told us we should order our food once we found a seat. after waiting half an hour, a table opened up and we took our seats as the table was being cleared by a staff member, and we finally then ordered our food. ten minutes into waiting for our food, the same staff member that had cleared our table earlier told us the table we had seated ourselves at was reserved and we had to vacate. at this point there were no more tables available so we were stranded once again. we decided to get our food to-go - we wasted a good hour for nothing. the staff were as unhelpful as can be, and the service was just terrible. 

the food was okay, but the lack of customer service will deter us from ever coming back.

owners are rude !!!!!. i don't get why the owners of this cafe are so rude ......

i think they are husband and wife they have zero social skills awful ......

a few of their staff save them there are a couple of friendly staff members there not many

but for the most part this place is dirty and needs a makeover badly

the furniture is falling apart the flowers on the tables are always dead

the least they could do is paint the place .....

it is going downhill

and i just can not support the couple that own the place just two of the rudest people i have ever met.....

not the same. in sherwood park we are overwhelmed with tim horton's starbucks and second cup yuk yuk and yuk
now cafe haven could make the best lattes you have ever tasted they rivaled transcend's
sadly not the case anymore the previous owners have sold and the coffee is going downhill fast !!!!
so sad maybe transcend will do us a favor and open a location in sherwood park.
because our beloved cafe haven has lots its flair and will never be the same again.
kind of like when high level diner changed owners never the same again

don't go to this restaurant. since new ownership the restaurant has declined in the quality of its meals.they are skimping on the ingredients and the owner has a care less attitude. i have been a loyal customer for 7 years but won't be going back.

a hidden gem. cinnamon buns highly recommended

the only good thing about it is the decor. cafe haven makes you hopeful when you walk through the door, a well equipped kitchen, well lit space and cool decor, especially the vault which you can enjoy a cuppa in (haven used to be a bank). but the coffee is sub par at best under the new ownership and the staff left something to be desired. the espresso was terrible, i didn't even finish it, it was just unpalatable, acrid and sour. my gf got a traditional cappuccino and she was in the same boat, leaving about half the drink unfinished. oh, and the staff wanted to charge me double for a half regular half decaffeinated espresso. i've never had a place charge me double for half and half. they said doing half and half would leave them with an extra espresso shot. i would understand a markup but double? show some accommodation. or they could have shown some problem solving and use the extra shot in my gf's drink.
on a side note i remember the drip coffee being quite good under the old owners.
i would love to see this place go under new new ownership, its a great space and sherwood park desperately needs more good independent and alternative shops and eateries. desperately.

first time visitor. great soup and sandwich. loved it. i'll be back for more. sires beat the fast food joints that get tired fast.

a great alternative to the mainstream coffee places. local art and talent featured as well.
