cafe de tavern

so, cafe de tavern was just a chance discovery for us. the first day we went there was pure luck. on the first day weordereda liit, whiskey sour, and gunhill special pizza. and we were pleasantly surprised. freshly wood fired pizza. delicious cocktail. and a huge selection for food and drink equally. the host, mr shailendra, is a really polite guy. and is readily available for any questions about the food you may have.

now on to the second time, we went because we had a pleasant first experience. and we wanted to try one of their local specialities, desi kukadi bowl. and obviously, a drink. so we had citrus sangria, which is again a delicious drink and quite refreshing at that. and then the desi kukadi bowl. oh boy! yep, those were the first words to leave my mouth once the food touched my palate. if you are not from the mountains, the flavours will leave you drooling. perfect balance of spicy and sour. then weorderedmissionaries' delight. these are deep fried chicken wings in bbq sauce. the first thing that hits you is not the taste but the smokiness of the bbq sauce. again, a great dish. we did tell mr shailendra to make the wings a bit more first date friendly hehe. and he took it quite positively.

oh and one message to mr shailendra, the pastry was nice touch.

loved the place and food . i was there with a group of friends . weorderedswiss roll and a wood fired pizza . pizza was fresh , flavoursome and was made in front of us (live kitchen) . swiss roll was superb with perfect sweetness😍 place could have been a little cleaner but altogether it was a good experience

this is a wonderful stop on the mussoorie mall road. amazing ambience, delicious food and friendly staff makes cafe de tavern a must visit on your trip to mussoorie.

this cafe was an amazing find. go here for the pizzas 🍕 that is their signature food. the wood fire oven pizzas are extremely delicious and one of the best ones i’ve had - weorderedhalf & half
classic margherita & their special tandoori chicken pizza along with jalapeño veggie tacos.

special mention for deepak - he was very helpful in selecting the right food from the menu and ensuring that we have a nice experience.

fer days back i visited cafe de tavern.
the ambience was amazing. iordered:

red wine sangria.
the taste was average but the presentation was really good.overall it was a nice experience.
you can give it try!!

iordereda cookie cream shake which was thick and delicious. the tavern special burger and white pizza were amazing too. the service was fast. the food and ambiance are definitely worth the visit.

visited this place for lunch on mall road. this place is relatively big compared with decent staff and lightning.

pizza was great and had lots of toppings and was loaded with cheese which my kid likes very much.

itm officers yearning was also really good. it was juicy and cooked perfectly. the chicken was tender.

firstly the ambience of the cafe is really good, bright and cheerful. inviting the customers to come in and have a taste of their delicious dishes.
went there today for the first time andorderedburger and 🍕. the thin crust pizza was awesome and so to the burger. 😋
just wish they bring the prices a bit down.
else no complaints.
will soon visit again.

we went here at midnight and it was their closing time! but the best part was this cafe still welcomed us! this is the thing i loved the most about this! like even during closing time, they served us! loved their hospitality!
since it was their closing time, we didn’t want to pose a burden on them and simplyorderedbrownie with icecream! the walnut brownie was hot and fresh and i loved it! come on, chilly winter nights and hot walnut brownie is a perfect companion! would love to visit here again to try their italian range for which they are famous!

iorderedquite a few dishes including 3 different pasts and pizzas. in short, the pizzas are great whereas their pastas are very very bland! chicken wings were also very nice.

cozy place with good ambience and friendly staff. weordereda vegetarian pizza, an arabiatta pasta, 2 burgers and an omelette. the omelette was really good and the presentation was good too. the portions were apt and the burger was the best vegetarian burger i have had in a long time. i would really suggest this place to anyone that visits mussoorie.

a nice english cafe with very nice seating arrangement. the walls are adorn with birds and english authors. one can enjoy beer or wine. iorderedruskin bond fish and chips and chicken burger. both were good in taste

this cute little cafe is all the feels. the menu is interesting, ambience is quiet and cute, and food is tasty. i had a good experience here in terms of dining but honestly there’s room for improvement. like for example, iorderedlandour’s favourite breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon and as soon as i took my first bite of the bacon, i was disappointed. i called the waiter and told him it smelled and was undercooked but they neither offered to replace it nor did anyone apologise or anything. that to me is a big no-no. in this world of variety and options, customer feedback is important and it was sad to see they didn’t even bother to acknowledge a dissatisfaction. the rest of the food was amazing but this one incident sort of ruined the mood for that moment, especially because iorderedthat platter only for the bacon.

pretty cool decor with a map of mussourie on the walls.orderedhot chocolate, cappuccino, lemon tea and blueberry pancakes. the beverages were near perfect. however the pancake was slightly chewey, probably due to excess flour.

recommended.

it is one of the best cafe in mussoorie, in past two years many cafes have been opened but this one is the best bcoz of its location & ambience. the thing which makes it more special is that it does not have a front wall, it is open anyone sitting in the cafe can have the view of the mall road. it offers alcohol but has limited options in cocktails and shakes. the presentation of the food was delightful. iorderedfour cheese pizza, onion rings, white sauce pasta & chocolate shake. shake was very basic nothing special but pasta was creamy, apt cooked & had a great flavour. pizza was crunchy. they gave a dip with onion rings which was great in taste - it was a blend of garlic + harissa which was giving a nice flavour when eaten with onion rings. overall i loved my dining there once again specially for its ambience 😍
one must visit it.
