great place to eat in mussorie. the pizzas and pastas are the highlight here and are really great. nachos were average and hummus falafel dish was horrible. but the pizzas make this place worth going to. it gets really busy in here because of too much crowd so you might have to wait a bit. service is also only average due to a lot of crowd.

pahadi chicken bowl was soulful and tasty. burger was also good. blueberry cheesecake was baked perfectly. ambience and service was good.

so, cafe de tavern was just a chance discovery for us. the first day we went there was pure luck. on the first day we ordered a liit, whiskey sour, and gunhill special pizza. and we were pleasantly surprised. freshly wood fired pizza. delicious cocktail. and a huge selection for food and drink equally. the host, mr shailendra, is a really polite guy. and is readily available for any questions about the food you may have.

now on to the second time, we went because we had a pleasant first experience. and we wanted to try one of their local specialities, desi kukadi bowl. and obviously, a drink. so we had citrus sangria, which is again a delicious drink and quite refreshing at that. and then the desi kukadi bowl. oh boy! yep, those were the first words to leave my mouth once the food touched my palate. if you are not from the mountains, the flavours will leave you drooling. perfect balance of spicy and sour. then we ordered missionaries' delight. these are deep fried chicken wings in bbq sauce. the first thing that hits you is not the taste but the smokiness of the bbq sauce. again, a great dish. we did tell mr shailendra to make the wings a bit more first date friendly hehe. and he took it quite positively.

oh and one message to mr shailendra, the pastry was nice touch.

must haves - cold brew coffee, best thing you'll ever have, deep indulgences.
italian is amazing, we had pasta and pizza both were outstanding.
add this to your go to cafe on mall road.

loved the ambiance, the music and the overall service.
the food was another story varying all over with the dishes being served.
to start with james skinner fries / wedges, slightly over done and hence they left a burnt after taste in the mouth. 3/5.

mussoorie international wrap: flafel in pita pockets with cucumber, tomatoes and lettuce served with guacamole and tzatziki dip. the pockets were overall dry but the saving grace was the guacamole which lacked a bit of seasoning. the tzatziki dip was more of a cucumber raita than a dip, it lacked the fresh herbs and the garlic flavours it should have had. 3/5.

four cheese pizza : beautiful thin crust and good amount of cheddar, parmesan, feta and mozzarella. the crust was really thin and good crispy and golden. the base sauce was decent and nicely seasoned. the combination of the four cheese was nice and the addition of feta gave it a different dimension. we had it with the wholegrain mustard sauce it made it more delectable. 4.5/5.

loved the place and food . i was there with a group of friends . we ordered swiss roll and a wood fired pizza . pizza was fresh , flavoursome and was made in front of us (live kitchen) . swiss roll was superb with perfect sweetness😍 place could have been a little cleaner but altogether it was a good experience

this was our first dinner in mussorie. the food was bad, service is worse and the restaurant is just so dirty and unhygienic. there was tissues and food under every table which they had not been cleaned. they serve fries it a weaved basket with big holes so almost all the fries r touching the table , the pizza was ok.. did the mistake of going to their loo and oh my god i nearly threw up. the toilet was clogged and it was stinking so bad.they management really needs to up look into this.

pizzas were fresh and succulent. drinks were good too. the staff was knowledgeable of their menu and made good suggestions. good stuff!

it's worth the hype!
the food was very tasty and authentic to wood fired pizza. loved the flavors. staff was very friendly and were willing to go out of their way to make the experience better.

this is one of the good cafe in mussoorie (mall road).amazing ambiance,pretty cool place to hang out with friends and family(but little on the expensive side).

it was yummy but bit dry, so for a better taste 👉🏻do try it with coffee or tea.

if you are looking for a quick bite, you can visit this cafe for sure.

the rudest staff we ever encountered, they asked us to move to a smaller table which wasn’t possible as it wouldn’t fit all of us, to which we asked them to give us a bigger table in case they wanted us to move, to which they asked us to leave they did all of this because there was a bigger group waiting for the table which walked into the cafe after us. very unethical and unprofessional approach. beware!!

we, a group of 8 pax were literally asked to leave the place as they had a group of 17 people waiting for a table after us. we were waiting for about 30 mins for a table and after we got a table we were told we need to move to smaller (for about 3 pax) or else we wont be served at the place. we questioned the waiter very politely how can a party of 8 pax fit on a table for 3 pax. after that we were very rudely asked to leave the place. that was my first experience where i was told to leave the place as my family wont shift to a smaller table where we definitely wouldnt have fit. if you’re planning to either have a massive party or a small party or else you’ll probably be asked to leave like us if there is another bigger party waiting after you!

not at all happy, i was so disappointed. we were a group of around 9 ppl, the staff gave us sitting of 4 ppl. when asked to give us a better sitting the staff refused us. the staff was very rude and unprofessional.
