this is a wonderful stop on the mussooriemallroad. amazing ambience, delicious food and friendly staff makes cafe de tavern a must visit on your trip to mussoorie.

this cafe was an amazing find. go here for the pizzas 🍕 that is their signature food. the wood fire oven pizzas are extremely delicious and one of the best ones i’ve had - we ordered half & half
classic margherita & their special tandoori chicken pizza along with jalapeño veggie tacos.

special mention for deepak - he was very helpful in selecting the right food from the menu and ensuring that we have a nice experience.

absolutely amazing!

the only positive about this place is its great location-right on themalland the theme. the items of money have little to do with the authors they are named after. the taste is not all that great and for the quality served the price is on the higher side

comfort cafe inmallroad that's perfect to accomodate large groups with various choices and even large groups with kids; which is what we were and the staff was friendly and took care of not mixing up our endless list of order. we called for a lot of dishes while the kids had preferences of their own! right from hot chocolate to pizza, lasagna, soups, nachos, quesadillas and what not and chocolate cake and chocolate waffles for dessert, we enjoyed almost everything. yes, of course, this is no gourmet kitchen and the taste is very indian-ised but in the winters of mussoorie, this nice warm and cozy cafe with warm friendly staff is all you need!

the pizza was awesome and the blueberry cake was the most delicious pancake i had. this place is right at the begining of themallroad and have an amazing ambience. service was also pretty good. loved it. gonna visit soon.

this cafe is insidemallroad. we had belgian hot chocolate with chicken penne pasta in pesto sauce. i shall highly recommend this place as a must go. the belgian hot chocolate i had was probably the best hot chocolate i have ever had. staff is very courteous and nice. their service is also pretty fast.

right when you entermallroad from picture palace side you see this on you left and it’s so attractive that you can’t resist going there.

what we ordered:

1. pizzas - delicious and unique wood fried pizza m
2. lemon drink

they give you a square share pizza and you’ll love it more when cheese melts in your mouth and surrounds your throat with happiness

we sat down at d' tavern just because i felt like having a beer. then we ended up trying their millet pizza. the decor is very nice. especially fantastic to sit at the table close to the road when they open the french doors. the one thing we miss in india/delhi is beer gardens. all places we have visited are closed dingy low light settings as if we are doing something worth hiding. at d'tavern it was a pleasure to sip beer, looking at the buzymallroad market, chitchat and enjoy a slice of pizza. the server was very good. he asked if we wanted to wait as the beer wasn't chilled enough. explained the menu well. beer was served at the temperature we like. the pizza was in a short list of dishes that incorporated local ingredients. i was a bit unsure of ragi base but it tasted fantastic. the fig pieces in the topping made it extra interesting. i wish they offer more items that are based on local ingredients or flavors. we couldn't find a single thing in mussoorie or dehradun that highlighted gadhawali cuisine.

a nice place in the middle ofmallroad. the banana pancakes were okay and can be improved, fish and chips was good. the thing that surprised me was corn and herbal soup, a must try and the peach ice tea was really good too

interiors/ seating - great work on walls, elegant seating and could watchmallroad!

food - to die for(hazelnut coffee, landour's favorite breakfast, nutella waffle)
good - you could try pizzas too at this place

music - some music would make the place perfect

visited this place for lunch onmallroad. this place is relatively big compared with decent staff and lightning.

i ordered one vincent hill delight pizza and one itm officers yearning.

pizza was great and had lots of toppings and was loaded with cheese which my kid likes very much.

itm officers yearning was also really good. it was juicy and cooked perfectly. the chicken was tender.

a beautiful old world cafe in the heart of a hill station. located right at the starting ofmallroad calling you inside is this beauty called tavern. the decor is woody and reminds you of a place right from those story books.
the food is also delectable. it’s a kind of place where you wish to sit with a book in one hand & a cup of hot chocolate/coffee in another devouring in the taste & divinity of the place.
the walls of the cafe will give you a sneak peak into some of the best places mussoorie has to offer, so just in case you are confused as to what to do & where to go; take a cue from the walls ;)
i have been to this cafe a number of times now, but every time i am there’s it an enthralling feeling to say the least.
i have had times of coffee sipping to lunch to dinner all & must say the all time favourite is the pizza. it’s cheesy & rich in presentation.
the staff is lovely & ever helpful. they also run special discounts for all the school boys & girls & are super sweet with their guests all the time.
a big thumbs up to this amazing cafe.

a beautiful cafe in the mist of hill. it is in themallroad. with good ambience and service it serves you with good food. we had green apple soda and noodles and they were good. price is a bit costly bit overall good.
