one of the most popular breakfast kitchens in atlanta, buttermilk kitchen does not dissappoint. atlantians seem more than happy to line up for the $15chickenbiscuit among other menu highlights. the delicious harmony of sustainable and local ingredients shine throughout the menu.

the parking was insane, the wait was super long(45min) on a weekend. there were a ton of people waiting on tables. none of those thing matter because it signals good food. water was already on the table room temp, coffee tasted funky. i ordered the biscuit, egg and pimento cheese with a side ofchickensausage, all i have to say is omg amazing. i devoured the whole thing, it didnt seen like much but i was so delicious, the pimeto cheese was out of this world! my husband ordered thechickenand waffle and it was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. i highly recommend this place! like this post if helpful

soooo good! we went to buttermilk on a saturday around 1:30, it was super busy. also, there was absolutely no where to park- so be ready for an urban parking adventure. we waited for 45 minutes and eventually got a place at the bar. it was a little warm inside and super crowded, but worth it! bestchickenbiscuit ever, seriously. i also recommend thechickenand waffle.

this place has the bestchickenbiscuit. the red pepper jelly it comes with is an excellent combination with it. and if you're a fan of grits, you get a twist with the addition of pimento cheese. the only downside to this place is the wait and the parking. if you're willing to deal with a lack of parking and long wait times, it'll be worth it.

what barney said.... seriously, i can't really say anything different from what barney has already said; he described the eggs benedict perfectly. they weren't a flavor overload, instead it was very balanced and the little bit of sweetness from the apple jam was a nice touch. the poached eggs were cooked perfectly and had nice, runny yolks. these were some of the best eggs benedict i've had in a while. the french pressed coffee from dancing goats was quite good, too.
the place itself was nice and cozy. it has a sort of farmhouse vibe to it without being kitschy at all. the staff was exceptional and really easy to talk to.
i look forward to coming back for breakfast again, and hopefully for one of their friedchickendinners, which are byob!

impressive attention to the food. stopped in for breakfast early on a sunday morning (they open at 8am!) and couldn't pass up their unique take on eggs benedict (poached eggs, house-made english miffin, country ham from pine street market, apple jam from emily g's, and their "red-eye hollandaise."

i've gotta say that was the best "eggs b" i've had in a while. not overpowered and drowned in a thick sauce, instead this was a perfect balance of rich, salty, a little sweet, and very fresh flavors. every single bite was seriously good with the last being as good as the first (no overpowering flavor fatigue going on here!). chased with a solid cup of strong coffee, and this was a perfect breakfast. worth every penny.

had a chat with the owner and my impression is that she's pretty serious about quality and local sourcing and it isn't just lip service. it has me wanting to go back and try a lot of things, including one of their specialchickendinner nights.

great new place!. i have been here 3x now and each time it gets better and better. the owner is clearly taking the feedback seriously. i've noticed improvements with the service and wait times. i have had the classic omelette, which is awesome and today for lunch i had thechickenphilly. amazingly good!!! it's also worth indulging in one of the biscuits...they are the best i've ever had. i'm so glad we have a great new brunch addition to the chastain area!

fresh and fantastic. i have been looking forward to the opening of the buttermilk kitchen ever since i saw their sign on roswell road, south of sandy springs near chastain park. i was not disappointed. the food was fresh and fantastic. i can now never go back to ok cafe or any other place since they cannot compare. the presentation of the food was special, the taste delightful, and the service excellent. the fresh organic food treats your palette with the way food ought to taste and once did before we started eating chemically altered food. i feel that i want to eat local organic food that is prepared lovingly and expertly. i don't know about you, but i feel my health and taste buds are worth it! i have been back a few times and now consider myself a "regular." i also tried their tuesday night friedchickendinner. everything was delicious and delightful. the kale salad was so fresh that i felt they must have just picked it fresh just for me. thechickenwas tender, moist and succulent. the dinner comes with so much incredible food! the chef/owner, suzanne vizethann, came out and spoke to us. i like that special treatment. i also learned that she won the tv show "chopped," no easy feat.
everything is very special at buttermilk kitchen.

i had a wonderful experience here! great atmosphere and friendly staff. yes, there was a wait but it's a new breakfast restaurant on a sunday morning, of course there is going to be a wait. i had the pimento cheese app that was some of the best pimento cheese i have ever had! i ordered the blueberry cobbler pancakes which were also really good and a nice creative twist on traditional blueberry pancakes. french press coffee is superb. also saw they do a tuesday night friedchickendinner club which looks really cool. great new addition to the buckhead restaurant scene.

the new spot. buttermilk kitchen is my new spot!! amazing food and great staff...people need to understand that when everything on the menu is organic/local that it's going to be a little pricey!! so i can't stand when people driving bentleys, etc. complain about $3 french press coffee. the price is on the menu....don't like it.....don't buy it! sorry...had to vent.

anyway my friends and i went for sunday brunch and yes there was a wait, but totally to be expected at the new, only spot of the kind at 11:30 a.m. we were seated, served promptly and our food was delicious! i had the eggs in a hole which is one of the best presented dishes i have seen in a long time. it's taste matched its presentation. my friends had the grilledchickensandwich and the blueberry cobbler pancakes and both were highly revered. the staff was soo nice through all the hussle and bussle! especially the manager who seemed to be involved in every facet of the place...greeting, running food, touching tables and checking people out/chatting before we left!! overall it was great. i suggest to others to not go to places like these during rush hours if they want a more calm atmosphere because this place is going to be very popular!! especially on weekends

insult to injury. i had an absolutely terrible experience at buttermilk kitchen. a group of co-workers and i went there for lunch to try it out this week. the menu is very basic and pretty pricey for breakfast food and sandwiches...especially with a lackluster quaility of food. we had to wait over 45 minutes for our food from the time we ordered until we finally got our food that they tried to give to another table before getting to us. one of my co-workers got thechickensandwich and the bacon on it was completely raw and inedible. bacon is supposed to make everything better but not when it is uncooked. i got pancakes and bacon (cooked) for $11 and could have gotten the same quality of food at ihop for half the price. to add insult to injury, i had left my tip in cash on the table but apparently that was not sufficient. when i checked my credit card online the restaurant took the initiative to add an additional dollar of tip for themself from my card. i am livid and will never go back. i love the atlanta food scene and really enjoy going out and trying new places. this was by far and away one of the worst restaurant experiences i have had in atlanta in the six plus years i have lived here. i belong to dinner clubs and go out all over town and have never been so disappointed.
