not impressed at all. frankly, buttermilk kitchen is not overpriced. and frankly, it's not that great. certainly not worthy of the effusive praise others posted. if you really think kale and sea salt are going to make you healthier, you are buttermilk kitchen's target customer.

now for the issue on a sunday brunch: i ordered eggs sunny side up. i suspected trouble when the server asked how i wanted my sunny side up eggs cooked, medium or well done. i told her i never had that asked for sunny side up.

the menu clearly states the eggs come with toast and potatoes. i ordered a side of bacon as well. the first order came out with the eggs cooked over, not sunny side up, and without potatoes. i pointed out i ordered sunny side up and that there were no potatoes on the plate either. i sent it back. the second delivery came without potatoes as well and without jelly this time. rather than wait even longer i just accepted the order.

before leaving i asked to speak with the manager. i explained my dissatisfaction with a "breakfast all day" restaurant not being able to get a sunny side up order correct and pointed out the menu clearly stated the eggs come with potatoes. the manager explained my bacon order was a substitute for potatoes. i again showed her the menu clearly stating potatoes come with the eggs and that my bacon order was for a side.

this restaurant left us sufficiently unimpressed even if there were no problems that we would not have gone back anyway. but the incompetent service and explanation warranted this posting.

fresh & tasty. i ordered the chicken biscuit; my husband ordered 2 eggs, biscuit, hashbrowns and pimento grits. i tasted everything but the eggs and it great! plus the food was fresh, the atmosphere was cozy and our server justin was very attentive. we'd definitely go back!

one of the most popular breakfast kitchens in atlanta, buttermilk kitchen does not dissappoint. atlantians seem more than happy to line up for the $15 chicken biscuit among other menu highlights. the delicious harmony of sustainable and local ingredients shine throughout the menu.

parking is a challenge, dining area not impressive, but who cares. food is cooked to perfection, there are layers of flavor in each bite you take, attentive service, perfect for that special occasion, you will not be disappointed. prices are fair for the quality of food and service you receive.

i have never waited as long for a meal, but i was extraordinarily satisfied! it was my first taste of the south on a visit to atlanta, and the chicken, biscuit, and grits were fabulous! despite how crowded and backed up the restaurant was, the staff did not rush us as all and were very welcoming! 100% a must visit stop when in atlanta!

the parking was insane, the wait was super long(45min) on a weekend. there were a ton of people waiting on tables. none of those thing matter because it signals good food. water was already on the table room temp, coffee tasted funky. i ordered the biscuit, egg and pimento cheese with a side of chicken sausage, all i have to say is omg amazing. i devoured the whole thing, it didnt seen like much but i was so delicious, the pimeto cheese was out of this world! my husband ordered the chicken and waffle and it was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. i highly recommend this place! like this post if helpful

soooo good! we went to buttermilk on a saturday around 1:30, it was super busy. also, there was absolutely no where to park- so be ready for an urban parking adventure. we waited for 45 minutes and eventually got a place at the bar. it was a little warm inside and super crowded, but worth it! best chicken biscuit ever, seriously. i also recommend the chicken and waffle.

this place has the best chicken biscuit. the red pepper jelly it comes with is an excellent combination with it. and if you're a fan of grits, you get a twist with the addition of pimento cheese. the only downside to this place is the wait and the parking. if you're willing to deal with a lack of parking and long wait times, it'll be worth it.

great place, always a wait but well worth it. never had a bad breakfast here. eggs, biscuit, sausage, hash browns, and pancakes are amazing. the organic apple juice i highly recommend as well.

my favorite breakfast in a long time. took my mom here today to celebrate her birthday. she had the eggs benedict, which has already been raved about, and i had an omelette with pimento cheese and bacon. i tried her eggs benedict, and it was fantastic. they do not skimp on the amount of ham, which is nice, but be warned: it is salty. this, along with the bacon that was in my omelette, has the most amazing smoked flavor unlike anything i've ever had in a breakfast dish. i don't know if this is done on site, or it comes to the restaurant that way, but it adds an incredible flavor. my omelette came with an excellent biscuit and this sweet/spicy jam that went well with it. we also shared an order of french toast, which was really good, but seemed a little dry. i can't wait to go back and try the pancakes and many of the other items on the menu. also met the owner, who was very cordial. our service was fast and the projected 30 minute wait ended up only being about 15 minutes. i can't recommend this place highly enough.

they hate kids!!!. my wife and i were invited to breakfast at buttermilk kitchen by another couple. we both have children. 4 adults, 2 young children; simple enough. after waiting for 30 minutes, they tried to seat us at a table for 4. only one high chair was available for use at the table due to its configuration. when we explained this was an issue to the server, she couldn't comprehend. i asked to speak to the manager hoping to work through this. the manager was rude and dismissive as if this were our problem because we brought children. she offered to seat us at separate tables or else let us get back in line (at the back) and wait for another 30 minutes. we left. i have never eaten the food there and never will. for all i know they may have great southern cooking, but i can tell you they have no understanding of southern hospitality.

what barney said.... seriously, i can't really say anything different from what barney has already said; he described the eggs benedict perfectly. they weren't a flavor overload, instead it was very balanced and the little bit of sweetness from the apple jam was a nice touch. the poached eggs were cooked perfectly and had nice, runny yolks. these were some of the best eggs benedict i've had in a while. the french pressed coffee from dancing goats was quite good, too.
the place itself was nice and cozy. it has a sort of farmhouse vibe to it without being kitschy at all. the staff was exceptional and really easy to talk to.
i look forward to coming back for breakfast again, and hopefully for one of their fried chicken dinners, which are byob!
