just heard that there was a new waffle place that opened up at 17th and wanted to give it a try. waffles are good, a little crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. i ordered the village (ice cream, toffee and pecans) and it was just perfectly paired with a cup of p&s on the side. yum. i wanted to try their orange juice but unfortunately they ran out that day.

however, i do find the prices just a little bit over, considering the plating (which is just a tray and a wax paper on top) and the size. i guess just more work on the plating can make this better. it's just that everytime i take a slice out of my waffle, the wax paper slides off the tray and i kinda want more waffles for that amount of money.

anyways, buttermilk is also agoodplace for catching up. a waffle and coffee on the side while chit-chatting is quite a nice setting. i'll come back for the orange juice and probably try out the fruit waffle.

...needs a lot of work. i was really looking forward to the opening of buttermilk, but unfortunately after trying it out, i will most likely not return until i heargoodthings about it.

first of all the prices are ridiculous for what you get.

there's nothing special about the waffles which is unfortunate. the presentation of the dish needs work. the waffles are presented on a tray covered with wax paper. when you cut into the waffle, you may get a few mouthfuls of wax paper too.

it would be great if they could come up with unique recipes that you would not be able to get anywhere else. but for now, i recommend going to any other breakfast/brunch place to get your waffle fix. you will have a better variety of flavors.

buttermilk has a great location and the restaurant is cute.

it's just ok. first thought: no savoury waffles?
second thought: why so expensive? 8$ for one waffle?
third thought: waffle itself tastesgoodbut...
last thought: the first two thoughts again, and where i was going to eat my next meal?

i really liked these waffles. the best in calgary as far as i know. i guess a case could be made that they're expensive for what they are butgoodwaffles are in low supply. and like my grandad used to say, eat your waffles fat boy.

had a sudden craving for waffles one morning and decided to give this place a try! i was definitely impressed with everything! at first it was awkward as we didn’t see the “order here” sign and was standing at the front waiting to be seated lol! prices are a bit steep but i feel it’s comparable to other breakfast/brunch places. the fresh squeezed orange juice was sooo good, comparable to sunterra’s! the waffles were very fluffy and agoodportion. tried the rueben and the seasonal early grey waffle but would definitely come back to try the others!

i like it. bit pricey for me for a small waffle. might go back again when craving for waffles. try the village and banana waffle. the ham looksgoodbut not my favourite, taste so simple.

what a treat! buttermilk fine waffles is a definite unique gem with top notch offerings. we came early on a sunday morning to the inviting smell of fresh waffles and coffee. im not sure why there is so much distain for the prices as they offer agoodproduct, decent portions with high quality ingredients. the 4 of us ordered the h.a.m., the reuben, a blueberry and the cinnamon bun and were also treated to a preview of the valentines day special. every waffle that came to the table was fantastic and full of flavour. friendly service, a comfortable ambiance and wonderful locally roasted coffee make it well worth it. we will absolutely be back!

ordered there cinnamon bun waffle and pina colada waffles. they weregoodand not sweet. the place is a bit pricey though for what you get. what i bought cost $14 bucks (two sweet waffles).

i recommend this place as a decent dessert alternative.

my friend and i came in and had two waffles for $17. usually they are $10 each. they were verygoodand well cooked. we both got savory and i felt there was plenty of toppings. mine had aurugula, goat cheese and honey, great combination. hers was a ham and cheese concoction, again very good. but for what you are getting i do feel it is very much on the pricey side. wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

came in as a group of 3, got the combination for the sweet waffles, which was agoodvalue, and added a savoury waffle. their orange juice maker is super cool to watch and it tastes really good. the waffles were delicious. i really enjoyed the savoury and the sweet, but savoury came out on top. i'd definitely go back!

great waffles, goodcoffee and very cool decor. i would recommend the savoury waffles or even the plain waffle with syrup as the waffle by itself is delicious

love!

the restaurant is beautiful, nice and bright. there are lots ofgoodchoices and i really can't wait to try a few more waffles from here. service was friendly. prices were pretty reasonable for a nice light meal.

came here at 10pm on a saturday night and it was just perfect! split the ham waffle and the cinnamon bun waffle with the bf so we could both have a sweet and a savoury. they have a number of games to choose from to play at your table so we grabbed connect four to play while we waited. we only got two rounds in before our waffles came.

the waffles were cooked perfectly. nice and light, not greasy. the flavour combinations are really incredible. i am most looking forward to trying the blueberry next time.

alright. i must admit i tried buttermilk mainly because everyone was. and my experience was okay. the atmosphere is chill, music and all. i had the fruits waffle, the village waffle (which had candy cane ice cream to celebrate the festive season) and ordered a savory waffle for my friend. the fruits waffle is my favorite. i liked the sweet and sour flavor over the sweet flavor. thus, the village waffle was a tad too sweet for my liking. the village waffle is better for those who enjoy ice cream and pecans, as well as chocolate or toffee sauce. in my opinion, the prices are okay but slightly pricy for the amount of waffle you get (and thus -0.5). service was quick. overall, agoodexperience. would i come back? probably not; unless i get an uncontrollable craving for waffles.

saturday morning breakfast. they were out of the ham waffle, so i opted for the lemon and goat cheese. the waffle was delicious. lots of toppings and agoodsize for one person. we had a group of five and each of us was served quickly. i would like to see more savory options on the menu. it is veygoodfood, but more of a dessert novelty than a breakfast in my opinion. would recommend trying it at least once. yum, waffles!
