superb breakfast spread including the live counters. great hospitality! quite impressed! love to be back for anotherbuffetbreakfast and yet another stay!

the service is good. ambience too. thebuffetspread is not as vast as it’s in some of the other 5 star hotels. the food was tasty though. it’s a cozy place to have some fancy dinner.

the service was prompt. staff is quite cordial and accommodating. the ambience is exquisite. because we went for dinner we could not enjoy the view. opted for thebuffetand found the spread to be small especially for the price. the chicken biriyani was very nice.

well set spread and really good food.
enjoyed the service but i feel that the restaurant is short staffed especially for a weekendbuffetas the staff were visibly exhausted.
nothing on the menu had to be complained about but feel that the oriental dish lacked authenticity.

bubble cafe is located in the taj gateway hotel, ernakulam and the view from here, is to die for. you can have a peep into the beautiful kerala backwaters, while you savor the food. as i stayed here, i had the breakfastbuffeton 3 days and no complaints at all. you name it and they have it. right from pancakes, waffles, eggs to different varieties to dosas, they have it all. the waffles and the multigrain dosa was super yummy. also, the appam with vegetable stew was really good as well. the spread included idlies, a speciality in idly( like ragi idly, multigrain idly), puttu, variety of preparations in raw banana and many more. the puttu with kadla curry was my ever favorite. not to forget the chutney. it's easily one of the best i've had.

i was staying at the hotel for 3 nights and had the opportunity to try out their breakfastbuffetfor 3 days. choices include a mix of local cuisine, indian and english spread. local cuisine - puttu kadalai, appam stew /egg curry , thenga chural and a few non veg items that i did not try. there was a counter for varieties of dosas , eggs , pancakes,waffles, french toast, puri bhaji . options of fresh juices, fruits and baked goodies was also quite extensive. service was great. we had an infant in hand and the hotel staff offered us a cradle to have a handsfree breakfast which i thought was awesome. food may get repetitive when you have it for over 2 days. take the table by the marine for an awesome view.

i stayed over an extended weekend (june 29-jul 02)at gateway, kochi. bubble cafe was our breakfast and dinner destination. i can't decide upon what was better the staff and service or food or the location.

standardbuffetmenu with no localization. awesome live counters offering at least 5-6 varieties of dosa(oats, ragi etc)

gets crowded during breakfast if you are late else lovely staff recommends and serves with a lot of love.

we went for a dinnerbuffet.... dishes were not up to the mark...no mutton dish on the buffet🤔🤔veg options was also very less... starters was less🤔🤔🤔
ambience and service was gud ...

some authentic kerela food here is a must try. overall thebuffetspread for breakfast and lunch was amazing with enough options.
food quality food and good ambiance.

however was disappointed with the staff and service . when we book a taj stay we expect no mistakes and also an extra mile to make our meal enjoyable. this lacked here.
have been to gateway and vivanta taj in most cities in india. and could clearly see kochi needs to work on its staff training.
will come back here only for the food whenever next in kochi.

had high hopes before going to this place.

we took thebuffetthinking that the spread at taj gateway s restaurant would be of top quality but to our shock the spread was not at all tasty, the options were there but some of the stuff was cold. the tomato soup was, starters were kept cold and after request were re heated and served.

the service was really bad which is totally un expected in taj. the staff were happily chatting with each other rather loudly without much attention to the discomfort of the guest seated.

finally one word to describe the place.

utterly disappointed.

management needs to take steps to correct things there.

me and my family visited taj getaway for their lunchbuffetin order to celebrate my husbands birthday 😃 we had ordered a surprise birthday cake for him and given them the name to write on the cake .. the ambience with the view of marine drive was quiet good ( would be excellent at sunset i guess )

thebuffetcost is 1000 rs per person
( including tax) ... the ac was not effective because of the constant sunlight coming through the roof ..

the food was a large spread of keralite dishes , north indian dishes , chaat , pasta , noodles and desserts .. the non veg options were really good and lot of things to choose from ( kadai chicken , chicken biryani , fish curry , natholi fry ) ... veg options were really limited 😩 panner malai tikka was very sweet and apart from that there was only dal fry and kashmiri pulav in north indian options .. veg options i liked were dahi wada, pasta, samosa chat and curd rice ..
there was a large spread of desserts whixh included cheesecakes , panacotta , chocolate brownie, paysam , raisin tart , fruits custard , vanilla icecream .. except the chocolate brownie nothing was good ( all cheesecakes had excess of gelatin and very gooey )

will definitely recommend it for non vegetarians ..

the ambience has not changed much, it lookd the same for the past 5 year and its charm has been lost. thebuffetspread was not great either. i hope they add some changes to the menu.

it's such a shame that the management being a taj property ,just does not care about the quality of food any more.

had a couple of meals here when staying at the taj gateway hotel.. it's usp being a multicultural cuisine restaurant and it does what it's advertised

the breakfast was a selection ofbuffettables with mixture of cereals, fruit table, table of variety of yogurt topped with fruit shooters, freshly squeezed juices and the usual fair of south indian breakfast items

the dosa was made to order and acceptable with the variety of chutneys to boot. also available was the omelets made to order which is highly recommendable.

the breakfast was overall on the average side compared to the others that we have had.

dinner was also very nice. the fish curry with the kerala paratha was nice and finely balanced with the well known delicate spices and heat. a disappointment for the meal was the panna cotta which was heavy, stodgy and being served in a glass to mask the fact that it didn't have the required 'wobble' to it... this was especially a let down given that it was marked as one of the chef's signature dishes.

overall a reasonable experience but there are much better places to eat in the kochi/ernakulum area...
