there are hardly 5 people in the restaurant and the service time and hospitality is appalling. i have ordered a water melon juice that has not come in the last 30 minutes. the furniture is old and chipping and overall, the service would not rate this even a 1 star

its an honor for me to introduce chef sinu vijayan ,-sous chef,hotel gateway taj,cochin,kerala.it happened me and my friends all came to cochin for a spiritual retreat program at bolgatti island which lasted for 5 days,our instructors were coming all the way from philippines.our honorable trainers had a sensitive and peculiar palate,thanks to chef sinu vijayan,who had the responsibility for choosing and planning their lunch and dinner for all the consecutive 5 days, till the convention was over.every dish was spectacular,different,fresh and delicious,i strong recommend this friendly,extremely professional and creative chef of hotel taj gateway,cochin for all your culinary delight,anytime u visit cochin,pls note chef sinu vijayan(mob- 8129635875)-sous chef-hotel taj gateway,cochin ,kerala,tq

went to dine there yesterday and i must say i am very disappointed with the food (the buffet) the waiters are waiting to rip you off as soon as they realise you are a foreigner!
the place is about to collapse, it is old and the floors are coming apart !
overall, if you see it on “zomato the must see places “ don’t fell for it the place sucks unless you are over 75.

this is simply one of the best restaurants in the marine drive area. it can be a little expensive on your wallet but it is worth every penny. in the mornings there are breakfast buffets by the evenings it turns to a lounge have been here quite a few times on my visits to kochi each time the restaurant served a unique experience

we had s wonderful stay at taj
thanks to executive chef shalin & chef suresh for their wonderful hospitality 😊🙏gave us at home
feel had a wonderful buffet dinner on the first day a mouth watering spread with all your favourite choices of dishes 😍 you can’t ask anything more
this followed to next day breakfast and then late lunch 🥗 thanks to chef suresh for that wonderful fish curry
we totally enjoyed food at raj 🙏🙏

the spacious rooms and the ambient services plus the timely eloquent foodfests keeps this hotel high on notices always. it has a good hospitality team, and has all the amenities of a well maintained star hotel.a place where every penny you pay has its premium worth.

nice food..awesome ambience. one feedback would be: can improve upon the "number of starters". a rainy evening time was awesome to spend quality time here. visit was during the monsoon festival. excellent hospitality from the staff!

the service is good. ambience too. the buffet spread is not as vast as it’s in some of the other 5 star hotels. the food was tasty though. it’s a cozy place to have some fancy dinner.

the ambience is good. too much light comes in at noon. in the afternoon buffet, the starters are not as good as expected. main course had the number of items to try but none was worth eating. desserts and sweets weren't great but still is ok to try once. service was the only plus point except that they were also taking much time to refill the items that are consumed up.

overall not a place for a person who loves food.

i always order caramello cream chillers which is a must try and the taste is somewhat similar to caramello frappuccino from starbucks. a delicious frappe which is reasonably priced and is a complete satisfaction.

the service was prompt. staff is quite cordial and accommodating. the ambience is exquisite. because we went for dinner we could not enjoy the view. opted for the buffet and found the spread to be small especially for the price. the chicken biriyani was very nice.

the food was good, especially the banana smoothie and chocolate shake. the staff was what really set the place apart with their really nice service and attitude.
