our last stop on our day-trip to bruny island is of course the famous-for-a-reason bruny island cheese company. whether you know them due to their part in matthew evans’ gourmet farmer (where i first heard about them), from their mega popular cheese club , or just from coming across one of their ridiculously delicious cheeses, they’re an absolute must-see when visiting the island. from their retail store in the front of their building you can watch them actually make thecheesesthrough the glass walls, or peek into the aging room, while you wait for your food and go through a tasting of their offerings. they do great coffee and a decent range of foods too, including wood fired pizzas, toasties on sourdough, or the inevitable tasting platters, all made/baked/cooked right there. i didn’t get the best photos to sum it all up this trip, as we were preoccupied eating and chatting, so i’ll visit again for more photos soon and update this post. in the meantime, here’s the ones i managed to r
