my bondi gem. when in doubt of where to dine, i always choose brown sugar. i've never had a bad experience in all the times i've visited .

any chance i find myself in the east on a weekend, it's my go to place for breakfast or lunch.

although dinner is there crowning jewel.greatwholesome and flavoursome menu staples.
brown sugar is a bondi institution and you haven't lived until you've tried their fish pie!

my partner and i are massive foodies. we are fortunate to travel the world for work and are obsessed with findinggreathidden restaurants. tonight we just enjoyed one of the most sensational 2 course meals we have ever tried. the lamb belly was divine and both the fish and cavatelli delicious. also the potato side way too addictive. thank you for a beautiful meal and wonderful service!!! 5 stars and beyond!

we took our overseas guests here . the food was outstanding - we loved the extra touch of olives, bread and brownies . i had the fish pie which was scrumptious ! service wasgreat! will def be back

a local friend recommended the place, so stopped here for brunch before checking out the sculptures. expected the place to be full for saturday brunch, but it was only about half full. however it still had agreatvibe about. the food was devine! i had the asparagus & parmesan poached eggs with jamon serrano (spanish ham). the truffle oil addedgreatfragrant to the dish, the poached eggs were perfectly oozy. the service was ok. a good brunch option around the area.

got told to visit this cafe by a friend of a friend because the food was really sensational. i agree - the food was amazing and had it not been for the rude and snotty staff i would be back in a flash. unfortunately, the staff didn't accommodate. they weren't happy to see us nor were they checking up on us with our food and drinks. we didn't get thanked when leaving or even a goodbye. maybe we weren't bondi hipster enough for them - not sure. but i'll never return which is unfortunate on the chefs because they made agreatmeal. disappointing.

on sydney's first hot day, everywhere in bondi was packed but my friend highly recommended brown sugar so we decided to give it a try. we only had to wait 10-15mins for a table for 3. there were a few things on the menu i was very keen on trying but i chose the moroccan eggs and a passionfruit soda . my friends both chose the chicken burger. my eggs were fantastic! i loved that the tahini and zhoug were on the side. i didn't touch my zhoug as i don't like it. i was curious to see what tahini would taste like with this dish and at first i was a bit skeptical but it was actually delicious! it added so much more flavour and the dish itself was flavoursome! i was very happy. my passionfruit soda wasgreatalso. my friends both enjoyed their chicken burgers however both agreed that it needed more sauce. service was a little slow (after all, they were very busy) but staff were very friendly. agreatexperience and i would be happy to return.

this is a little gem of a cafe that couples as a dinner place throughout the week. open for breakfast, brunch and lunch on fri/sat/sun from 8:30am - 2:30pm. the menu is great, it mixes up your usual breakfast fare and plenty of healthy options. this trend follows through into lunch withgreatlooking salads and fresh sandwiches and pasta. if you are looking for a filling and hot breakfast the basil and feta scrambled eggs is a tasty pick. if you are looking for dinner head there tuesday through sun. haven’t had a dinner meal yet but the cocktail list looks enticing enough to get me there. will be back soon.

went with some friends who recommended this place. as we are from interstate we trusted their judgment. i was glad we listened. the entree, main and dessert were 5 star. the service was very friendly and professional. if i was a local this would be my first choice of restaurant. thanks to all for agreatnight.

favourite nook in bondi. i have eaten here about 8 times. i love it.
ordinary foods become extraordinary. the asparagus entree is divine! as are the scallops, the zucchini flowers...need i list them all? i have had delicious lamb,greatsteak, and my all time favourite, the fish pie. being gluten free is no problem: they even make my fish pie topless on request! the dessert...where do i start? the dessert platter in good food month was to die for! the chocolate fondant is famous in its own right. creme brulee, panacotta and fantastic sorbets and gelatos all made in-house.
the service is brilliant and the wine is divine. i love brown sugar!

delicious. i came here with friends last week and we were all overwhelmed by thegreatsounding menu. the food was amazing. the brown sugar salad was so good and the paninis were good too!

brown sugar is a favourite of mine for breakfast, particularly for their blackstone eggs and good coffee. after hearinggreatthings about their dinner menu, last night i tried it the first time and i am sad to say i was fairly disappointed. food and service was ok, but did not match the fine dining price bracket. we were on an early booking and so had only 2 hours, but waited some time for our mains to come out - so much so that we didn't have time for dessert. we ordered a 2008 bottle of chardonnay and when a 2009 bottle appeared at our table received quite a careless / surprised reaction to our complaint. overall a good atmosphere and ok food, but not somewhere i'll be going again for dinner anytime soon.

this popular bondi café/restaurant is agreatoption for date nights. due to a change in plans, my partner was under pressure to find a last minute ‘date night’ venue – he called brown sugar on friday morning and was put on a waitlist. lucky for us, there was eventually a cancellation and we managed to secure a table for the 8pm sitting.
