unbelievable bad service. thestaffhas such a bad attitude that we left the restaurant without eating anything. i enjoy resurrection ale and was excited to try it from the source. the rude, surly, demeaningstaffare not worth a burger and fries.

tired of seeing charm city in titles. this bar area of this place is garbage. they need to invest in a light bulb or two. you can be all artsy and cultured if you want to, but if i can't see where i'm freaking walking we have a problem. we grab a seat at the bar and thestaffmight as well have not been there that night. they were more focused on some little stupid app they downloaded on their trendy iphone. i had a resurrection (hype doesn't live up) or two. figured it would get better as i went, like most beers. it didn't. i was more excited about our next destination that night than anything that happened at the bar. also notice to the slightly overweight asian girl that works there, you are not that hot so focus more on your customers and less on your iphone mirror app.

somewhat over-rated. the beer is good, but there are lots of places in baltimore to get good beer. the upstairs dining is not worth it. they have a major problem actually delivering food that is hot. we spent $100/couple without any wine. too many other places in baltimore where you can get a much much better meal than brewers art.
and thestaffis genuinely rude, especially the hostess.

good beer but rude staff. i had always heard good things about the brewer's art and i like their beer a lot, but the last time i was there thestaffwas just awful. we were in the front bar section upstairs (downstairs was closed) and the bartender/server refused to let us start separate tabs at the bar, even though we were a group of about 8 people who were not all leaving at the same time. it made paying a big pain. also, i asked for a leftover box for my food and they said they couldn't give leftover boxes to people who order food at the bar because they were running out and needed them for the restaurant. i asked if they just had some foil i could use to wrap up my food and they refused to give me any. thestaffalso got a snooty attitude with me when i tried to pay for my food and drinks before the rest of the group was ready to leave. i will not be going back. the beer is really good, and i love the fries, but i don't need to deal with such rude staff.

a favorite. i regularly stop in for a brew and have eaten here several times. what can i say, i'm a fan. the beer is good and if you decide you don't want one of their home brews, ask for their beer menu. big.

menu has an interesting variety. i'd like to see more pub-priced food available in the basement.

sausage platter is very good. rosemary fries are usually very good. (sometimes they don't taste so fresh.)

i prefer the dungeon-like basement atmosphere to the upstairs but having the option is also nice.staffis nice and attentive.

rude staff. had heard good things about this place, but i recently went with a colleague (aged 27) who arrived from england just two days before and didn't know she needed to have her id on her. barstaffwere rude before we even ordered, and then called our friend a 'retard' for not knowing she needed to have her id on her. when they then preceded to kick her out of the bar (and no- she did not have a drink), our entire party left to more insults by the staff. will not be back, and by the few sips of the beer that i had in our short stay, i don't think i'll be missing anything.

thank you for saving the horrible artscape. i have to commend the brewer's artstaffon the handling of the huge numbers of artscape refugees that started to line up outside the restaurant on saturday a half hour before they opened and didn't leave till late. the barstaffkept the overstuffed bar area happy and even spent a good deal of time explaining the beers to first time visitors. i wish places near camden yards could learn to handle such crowds around o's games.

the beer continues to be the best brewed in the baltimore area and while the winter menu is better than the summer, the food is well suited to the beer.
