had made a reservation on open table for 7;30,get a text at 7:20 that it was cancelled by the manager because they were full. got the text as we were walking thru the parking lot. the manager ( waterfront homestead ) when asked for an explanation , his unprofessional smart ass answer, basically don't let the door hit you on the way out. as we were leaving he did say have aniceevening. if i never go back there it will be too soon.

last night me and my fiancee went to the bravo for our 4 year anniversary in the waterfront in pittsburgh,pa where i had the worst expiernce in my life we were sat in a section with a waiter who had a table of 22 people and then another party of 5 we never recived our complimentary bread and when our appetizer finally came out we had to ask for our bread to be brough to the table we were completly ingored not only by our waiter but by the manger to she was rude and did not care to help or step up in any means to make her customers have a good experience at her restaurants we asked her to get us a new waiter when we recived nasty stares and felt very un comfortable that then took 10 to 15 mins for her to come to our table then she brough my fiancee diet pop when we asked for regualr pepsi so then he had to wait longer for the right drink then our meal came out and my meal look like this ...... burnt all are very black over done over cook and my fiancee crab cakes were burnt also. we paid our 50.00+ some bill and tip our waiter 9 dollars we wanted nothing more then to get outta that place it completly ruined our dinner, anniversary, our way we look at bravo as a professional business & restaurants and our mood i called the store this afternoon and talked to anicemanger chris who was willing to listen to me and apologize on behalf of his employees who clearly did not do their job last night & he also offered me gift cards so i could come in a try them one more time to deicied on if we will ever return there again with the new changes he said they will be making.

chain where you get what you expect. we've been to this location 3 or 4 times over the last couple years. as mentioned by several other yelpers, bravo! is a moderately upscale chain similar in theme and substance to others of its ilk - meaning you'll (generally) get consistent food, service, ambience and value. chains like these have spent countless hours standardizing the customer's experience. i'm not complaining about this formaic approach but you should have very few surprises during any visit. we also noticed the sanitation rating was a 100 - excellent.

food: my girlfriend ordered off the seasonal menu - the chicken valdostana which were thinly pounded chicken breasts sautéed and topped with prosciutto di parma, fontina, diced tomatoes and a mushroom white wine sauce. served with brown butter and sage fettuccine ($10.99). she enjoyed it and thought the butter/sage fettuccine was tasty.

i got the chicken marsala that is served with tuscan mashed potatoes and pan roasted green beans ($15.99). i also thought the chicken was good though a touch overcooked and the mashed potatoes had anicebalance of garlic. the "roasted green beans" were a bit of a disappointed, however. first, the name is a misnomer. it's really a vegetable medley of broccoli, mushrooms, carrots a few green beans. second, the pan roasting instills a stew-like texture eliminating most of the crispiness of the vegetables.

both servings were large and we both left with doggie boxes.

service: i would have to say our service this visit was on the low side overall. i did overhear a conversation that indicated that they may have been understaffed. on the other hand, i also suspect the fact that we were both dressed pretty casually (especially me!) and passed on drinks from the bar for once :) contributed to the lack of urgency. the wait time between the salad course and the main course was lengthy and water refills were slow in the making.

value: i mentioned the prices above which i consider in the ballpark for this kind of restaurant. the other menu items seemed resonable, as well. we were fortunate to have a $10 off coupon from a local coupon book so our ticket was about $25 before tip.

ambience: i like the atmosphere of bravo! even it is a bit "forced". no complaints here.

food: 7/10, service: 6/10, value 7/10 (much better if you have the coupon), atmosphere: 8/10

meh. i've only been to the bravo once, for my friend's 21st birthday.

very classy and spacious decor, it's definitely aniceplace to eat. service was okay. the bread wasn't bad and they have some interesting cocktails (alcoholic and otherwise) worth trying.

my biggest problem, however, came with the entree. i had the spaghetti and meatballs which was good but nothing special - very seasoned sauce, but a rather bland and flavorless meatball. it was a very big portion which would have beenniceif i enjoyed it more. it was also rather heftily-priced by my standards.

perhaps i'll revisit the place in the future to try more of their stuff, but the price will likely put me off revisiting them anytime soon.

awesome service!. what you would expect from anyplace calling itself a restaurant. as my wife and i walked towards the outer doors, there was someone there who opened and the door for us and said hello. as we walked up to the maitre d'/front desk, we were greeted immediately. they said it was about an hour wait (i think it was a fri. or sat.). that was ok since we had just come from firebirds with the same wait, but absolutely terrible service. bravo suggested we could wait at the bar, or even eat there if we chose. we decided to wait and have a couple of drinks. the bartender greated us right away, as well. he was very personable and asked us to let him know how our drinks were after we tried them. implying he might change them if they weren't to our liking. he also asked us if we would like to look at the menu while we were waiting. things were going great. i felt like we were totally being catered to. the inside of the place was veryniceas well.

ok, i know this is getting long. but guess what? after just 15 or 20 minutes, our table was ready. we were led to our table by someone and told who our waiter was going to be. our waiter came shortly thereafter, and she was great. she was able to give appetizer suggestions and was very nice. she tended to us adequately without being overly bothersome. i felt it was just right.

and finally the bill. it was all very reasonable. cheap/inexpensive i would even say for what we got. the food was awesome, the drinks were magnificent, and the service was outstanding. i can't say enough about the service. i know it was only one night, but i hope it keeps up.

absolute favorite resturant !. bravos is definatley one of my most favorite resturants! me and my ex used to go almost every friday night, and we became regulars there. i live in pittsburgh, so i usually always go to the waterfront location. the bread is always so amazing with the pepper and oil dipping. and everytime i go, i get the romano crusted chicken salad. it is always so amazingly good. during lunch i usually always try something new, the sandwiches are amazing as well. soup is very excellent. cons, i did have acouple times, were service wasnt up to my standards.. but you can get bad service at the classiest resturant, so i wasnt too upset in bravos in general. other than that, its a very clean, niceatmospheric resturant. i 100% give it 2 thumbs up, and 5 stars ! :)

olive garden is better.niceatmosphere, good service, my chicken was cooked perfectly. that's where the positives end. the food was bland. the fried zucchini was the most pathetic i've seen - shoestrings consisting of mostly breading, and sometimes it was just breading. the zucchini must have disintegrated in the oil. don't waste your money on this appetizer... eat 'n park has better zucchini.

the side salads consist of little more than iceberg lettuce. my entree was chicken scallopini and i had to add salt - something i never do. that still didn't help much with the blandness. the linguini was oily. will not return.
