this chain does some good stuff. we ordered lunch here today - our first time trying this restaurant, after driving by it a 100 times. just never was excited about eating at a place that seemed so much like an olive garden/macoroni grill clone - but, i must admit to being very pleasantly surprised, at least with most of our selections.
and our selections were:
the spaghetti and meatballs ($13.59) - not a big fan of this dish. they use a smaller noodle (spaghettini), and the sauce is too sweet, and there is too little of it, even if it wasn't too sweet. the meatballs were ok, just ok. this dish i would not order again.
the pepperoni classica pizza ($12.29) with extra cheese was very, very good. the pepperoni tasted fresh and the flavor was sharp, and the crust was delicious and cooked perfectly, no charring at all. i would return here for the pizza alone.
mezza lasagna & insalata ($12.99) was exceptional, as scott b said more than a few years ago - should have listened then! i wish that i had ordered the full order rather than this 1/2 order combo with a salad. they use a combo of sauces, alfredo & their house meat sauce, they play well together. we chose the caesar salad and it was very good - the croutons were so-so, ended up tossing them, but the dressing was great - so ordering the combo was brilliant, after all. :)
bravo!'s famous cheesecake ($6.99) - simply outstanding.
layered chocolate cake ($6.99) - looks 10, tastes 2.
their online ordering system is well designed and user friendly. we placed our order an hour in advance of the pickup time we requested, and it was all there, on time - restaurant customer service is alive and well - one just needs to find it! and reward it!!
