went in october 4 2019 on a friday without reservations and the staff were so accomodating and fixed us a table by the counter. it was somewhat perfect. the food wasgreathad angus ribeye steak both for me and my fiance. perfectly done steak.i had a medium steak perfectly pink on the midle. compliments to the chef and the crew.

i love the rib eye steak in medium, best to go with peppercorn sauce. yet tastes so good as it is. tender and juicy and a big chunk of 350g meat. the salad dressing is kinda sour, for me best suit the steak since i got the cheese sauce. cozy. dim lights. nearby our office. the place is huge. not crowded even during lunch time. service isgreattoo. you can get more complimentary bread which i dont think its advisable to eat more than the usual if you’re gonna get the rib eye. we left the place all smiles and belly satisfied. btw, got another complimentary rib eye of the same quality and quantity (not less quality even if is a zomato gold complimentary dish) which is amazing. definitely going back there for a date night with my 1+1 food. we accepted defeat, ribeye steak won our hearts & tummy too :)

thoughtful and warm service--would return for the amazing waiters!greatfood--enjoyed the cheese platter, duck terrine, grilled prawns, and strawberry tart.

the only reason for the 4 stars is the access to parking...but everything else was wonderful. from service to food to agreatselection of wines this is one of the best restos in bgc for authentic french cuisine.

the ambiance is a+++,greatfor date nights. we ate here for lunch and went for pasta and steak. crab pasta is not too salty (borderline bland) but flavorful. the croquettes are a must try, and your man will definitely enjoy their meat offering. excited to be back!

i had the grilled wagyu beef onglet, medium rare, with mashed potato, in garlic cream sauce. super love it!

we dined in during dead hours (4pm on a saturday.) and although they call it happy hour, the place didn't look happy - no music, a part of it near the restrooom had the lights off (maybe because someone was sleeping on the sofa) and it took some time for the staff to notice us when we came in. we were the only diners the whole time but two of the staff that were there cannot even pay attention to us (their eyes glued to their phones) but we're not complaining. medium well onglet with the mushroom sauce was almost heaven. food wasgreatbut service can be improved.

a+ service! servers are friendly, helpful, even funny at times.

i always order the flank steak here with red wine sauce. salad is also agreataddition but the roasted vegetables side needs a bit more seasoning. overall, one of my favorite places in bgc.

been to this charming restaurant two nights in a row! knew from the bread served that it will be agreatmeal. food is served incredibly fast. the flavors are clean, bold and very complimentary. presentation is also a highlight yet never overly complicated. there’s a high level of skill behind the kitchen and portions are sized just right. will be back many times more! maybe one of the best french restaurants in the county!

one of the best and most authentic french restaurants in the country. we ordered beef bourguignon, steak tartare, duck confit, escargot, prawn bisque. everything was excellent. with zomato gold, it was a steal.greatambiance and service too.

excellent experience at sagana (renovated, rebranded and relaunched champêtre)!

we ordered the l’onglet, which was a favorite. very tender and generous piece of meat served with a side salad and fries. we also ordered the algerian couscous and i especially loved the sausage and the lamb chops that came with it. everything was on point, even our request to have our meats prepared medium rare.

we ordered the le nancy for a sweet ending.greatflourless chocolate dessert. the chocolate ganache tasted homemade. overall, excellent experience!

formerly champetre, which was my personal best-and-favorite french restaurant, has closed and now emerged into a french-filipino fusion cuisine "sagana".  basically, it uses filipino ingredients prepared with the finest french cuisine.  i am unable to provide a thorough review on this restaurant since i left bgc when this restaurant opened in second half of 2017.

ambiance - neat & clean; a nice place for peace and quiet meal with friends and with yourself.  :)  as you enter the restaurant, the organic foods stand out upon the door.

service - staffs are attentive and friendly, who are mostly staffs from the old champetre.

food - there's no doubt that the quality of the food does not disappoint one customer, but it also means that the price is high.  i have noticed that sagana has showngreatimportance on the presentation of the food on top of the quality taste.  i have tried the grilled apahap (local bass) w/ grilled vegetables, and honestly, the fish is soft and well-cooked.  sadly, i haven't tried their other dishes though.

still, i personally feel that champetre is better than sagana, because i'm a french-cuisine fan.

april 2-7, 2018: sagana commemorated the "paul bocuse" event where they served dishes prepared by him.  dishes were superb, especially the signature dish "vge soup".  wine selections were good, and made me realized how good wines are!  

worth a visit again?  yes, certainly!
