excellent seafood cobb!!!

steak was good - rest of meal not noteable!. ate here for the 1st time last week. small place, friendly servers. a lot of families were there, which is usually a good sign. a little loud for my taste, though. we were seated in a corner booth and unfortunately, a speaker was mounted right overhead and the music blared all throughout our meal. could barely carry on a conversation. next time i will request different seating. had the 8 oz sirloin, rare. was cooked perfectly; not a great cut of meat, but not bad. came with two sides and i had the house salad, which was excellent. the balsamic vinaigrette dressing however, made my lips pucker - the vinegar was overpowering. my other side dish was grilled asparagus and the cook killed it. i mean, seriously - it was burnt to a crisp. not what i would call grilled by any stretch of the imagination. i am willing to give the place a second chance, though - so to be fair, i will be back to try it again.

this was the best meal i've had in a very long time! the duck leg appetizer was awesome! i shared a crawfish pie (so big!) which was the most delicious i've ever eaten! boyfriend got the trout-- superb! this will be a regular stop when we are in laffayette!

perfect meal.. great service, glorious food. moving to the area soon and will be back again and again.

ordered the sirloin caesar salad and both the steak and salad were perfect. husband got crawfish pot pie and it was gorgeous, very nice puff pastry and delicious crawfish etouffee filling. extra points for not over-salting. also? best crab cake i've ever had, from the appetizer menu.

the bananas foster bread pudding was a bit dense and didn't really taste like bananas foster, it would be better if it were lightened up and actual bananas foster served over a simple bread pudding, but it was still very good.

very disapointing. we were looking to try something new in lafayette & saw all the good reviews about this place & decided we'd give it a try. things didn't look good from the start, we got seated next to a table that the manager was standing at listening to a complaint about the food from the customers sitting there. we shrugged that off & kept an open mind. after we were seated, no one came to wait on us for about 15 minutes. finally the waiter came & took our drink & app order-crawfish stuffed mushrooms. drinks & app came, the mushrooms were ok, under seasoned & not very hot but edible. finished the apps & our drinks & waited for our salads & refills.....& waited, & waited, & waited. 15-20 minutes went by & our waiter finally came back to pick up the empty plate bottle & glass, we asked for refills & the status of our salad, he said they'd be right out.....we waited, & waited, & waited. salad comes out & it was fresh, crisp, & the dressing was good. we wait about another 15 minutes & the server appears, hands me my steak, looks at my husband & says: "did you order food too?" of course he had. a few minutes later the manager appears & apologizes for the inconvenience ' promises his food is coming right out. then the waiter comes out & apologizes for forgetting to place his order. after about 10 minutes, & me being halfway through my entree, his new orleans bbq shrimp come out. my sirloin was cooked well, not seasoned but edible, the disappointment on my plate was the jalapeño cheese grits-they were cold, unseasoned, no jalapeños, & no cheese. my husband's dish was very disappointing, just looking at it you could see the noodles were way over cooked, to the point of them being broken apart. the shrimp were hard & rubbery, as if they had been microwaved. the sauce, this was disgusting, it tasted like watery worshteshire sauce, salt, & garlic-it was (for lack of a better word) gross. my husband is not picky & will normally make the best out of a situation, eat what he can, & leave it at that; this food was inedible. so we call the waiter over, show him the dish & voice our issues, he apologize & goes get the manager. manager comes over, looks at the plate, & immediately says this is unacceptable & apologizes & offers to get my husband anything he wants. at this point, i'm finished eating & he is frustrated so he just declines & asks for the bill. so we pay & walk out, as we are leaving we cross the manager talking to another waitress & we hear the waitress saying: "they both said they were over cooked & sent them back". so apparently another table, that made 3 we know of, was having issues. sad to say but between the poor service & bad food, we will not be back & we will warn people about how bad our dining experience was.

very good! have eaten here many times. always good. all of the dishes are good- swamp legs, shrimp, fish, etc. the meatloaf is one of the best!!

both the service and food were outstanding. i'm from out of town and wanted to experience some great local cajun food. the shrimp and grits appetizer is a must order. i would most certainly come back again.

pleasant surprise!. went in for lunch with a friend and we were both surprised at the quality of the food. the service was great. the food came in a timely fashion and the garlic bread that was complimentary was entirely too tasty (if you know what i mean). one of the owners came by the table and seemed genuine when he asked how we liked it. i have already been back and found that the fresh grilled veggie sides are outstanding as the delicious entrees. i will be back and highly recommend. i can't wait to try the burgers ( which were huge) and the crawfish pot pie.

spot on. this place was so good and i can't wait to be back through lafayette to eat here again. we had a large group of 14 adults for lunch yesterday and they were so accommodating (we called ahead for seating as advised by hostess.) naturally with a big group we tried quite a few apps, a variety of entrees, and both desserts. the favorite among the apps were definitely the tasso stuffed mushrooms and crab cake--thanks to our server for recommending we try the latter! all of us enjoyed our entrees and portions were large. the menu is super varied but you could tell this restaurant loves food and treats it as a craft.

great place. great service and great food. the boucherie plate is fantastic as are the stuffed porkcops. shrimp and grits are amazing. crawfish potpie is great too.
we have been several times and while they are always busy, the service is always topnotch. another great lafayette dining option.

try the . .. 8 oz sirloin, medium rare with two sides for $11.50. you must order it medium rare. if you don't, i will haunt you.

parking is tight. place is a little small but that's good, keeps the crowds away. shhh, keep this place a secret.

lots of potential here...give it a try!. my family and i decided to try bon temps grill since it is only a couple of miles from our house. this place has alot of potential! first of all, the staff was very enthusiastic and welcoming. our waiter was just a really nice guy who went out of his way to give good service (wish i could remember his name!). the menu has a lot of variety with some creative dishes which was a pleasant surprise. first, we were served this very garlicky bread which we all loved. my husband ordered the grilled fish and i ordered the crawfish pot pie; we both got the zucchini and the jalapeno grits. my husband thought his fish was very good and seasoned well. my crawfish pot pie was so big and not only looked beautiful but it was delicious!!! one minor problem was that it was just above lukewarm in the middle. when a lady came by (a manager maybe???) and asked about our meal, i told her about the issue and she seemed very receptive. now, we did find the zucchini to be disappointing...soggy and bland. also, the grits were very dry and just didn't have much flavor. however, with the eager employees and the excellent service i think the food will only get better! definately worth giving this place a try!

went here the other night with my wife and girlfriend, awesome atmosphere, but the music was way too loud...
i had the lobster pot pie and my wife had the crawfish poorboy. everything tasted microwave fresh! i would recomend this place to errbody.. i cant remember the servers name, but he seemed absent minded the whole time but the owners came and made sure the rest of the meal went amazing. keep it real guys!!!

nice atmosphere. the cypress and tin look really nice. i had the grilled fish, which was very good. my gf had the grilled chicken pasta, also tasty. it's traditional la food, slightly more upscale and refined.
